I love a dog that does not need a leash except in certain circumstances. My last two hiking buddies (Golden Retrievers) seldom wear on a leash and never a worry that they would run of. Loyal pups are such a joy. You picked good one. I love watching him interact with your family.
This was a beautiful little video. By the end of the video not only did I want two brand new jeeps but I also wanted a new dog.... can’t replace the mental space a pet dog occupies in ones mind. They become a part of us immediately. God bless your family and Landó.

Lando is an extra special dog. He’s so smart yet sensitive. He was simply the perfect match for your active family. And the very very best part is the fact that he is simply loved by all. Animals add so much to our lives. I could not live without them! They make a family complete. I’m so glad you have all this footage of his puppyhood, it’s just lovely 🥰
One question, how did you train him to run ahead of the jeeps and NOT take off in the woods, like mine would? Especially since he’s a hunting dog. I’d be worried he’d get the “sent” of a critter…….
We used a collar that makes a loud beep sound to get his attention but now he just sticks to the trail. He’s always been a momas boy and doesn’t like to let Mom out of his sight 😆

In all seriousness though, having only recently come to your channel I didn't realise Lando was as young as he is, he is so well behaved and accustomed to your lifestyle I thought he was a couple of years older. What a wonderful relationship you all have with each other to foster such behaviour in him. Dogs thrive in their environment and to see him as such a happy, obedient, caring, inquisitive little (big, :D ) guy just goes to show you really do put the E into Epic Family. Thank you for sharing this video. As a Mumma of 3 dogs including a 15 month only Beaglier this really got me in my feels. :D

I’ve been following your channel for a while (ever since I saw your Jeep in Killarney a few years ago) and love what you do. I really enjoy when you highlight the gear you use. Have you, or would you even consider doing a video on the gear you have for Lando? We will be getting a pup this summer and plan on doing lots of hikes and adventures with our dog. I would love to know what you have found works for you (bowls; collars; leads GPS systems etc). Thanks a keep up the great adventuring!

I'm new to your channel and will have to check out more videos but do you guys travel with a pop up camper? I'm looking into traveling with a pop up and taking my pup but I worry about if he'll be okay in the pop up if I have to go somewhere and he can't come with me.

Quick question, what type of e-collar do you guys use/recommend for Lando? I would love to let mine off-leash on the trail sometime, but am nervous about them running off.
Garmin make some great tracking collars. We have the basic training colour where we can create a beep sound on his collar to call him back If needed. Lando doesn’t like to get too far away from us though.
