You know, I like how Caddy says that they are not the best games, they are what he likes best. Basically, there is no such thing as "best" or "worst". There is only what you "like" and what you "don't like". This is because not everyone will agree with your opinions. What you really like, someone else may not, and what you don't like, someone else may. Everyone's view is different, and that's why there will never actually be a "best" or "worst" game ever.
Here's my top 10 in no particular order - Ape Escape - Oddworld Abe's Exoddus - Tombi! - Speed Freaks - Crash Bandicoot 3 - Tekken 3 - Spyro 2 - Hogs of War - Klonoa Door to Phantomile - Kula World
I’ll be honest, I cheered when I heard the music for Medievil. I love that game and I still play it. I love the music, locations, characters, story. Everything. It is awesome.
Spyro was half my childhood right there. Never got the third game, but I used to play 1 and 2 endlessly...and Ripto's Rage was the first game that I ever completed 100%, which says something because I normally don't bother doing that. That game was worth it to me.
It's nice to see someone else that knows about the Oddworld on the PS1. Abe's Exoddus was my favorite game on that console. I mostly played Nintendo consoles as a kid, but Oddworld was the one franchise that made me pick up a PS1 controller and play.
YOU ARE NOW MY FAVORITE, CADDICARUS! There are no words for how much I love your #1, that is my absolute favorite game as well. I have such unimaginable joy when anyone so much as mentions it, the fact you made it #1....just...thank you!
My top 10 PS1 games 10. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone 9. Croc 8. Ape Escape 7. Digimon World 6. Rayman 2: The Great Escape 5. Tombi 2 4. Crash Bandicoot Warped 3. Spyro 2: Gateway to Glimmer 2. Grandia 1. Final Fantasy IX
Tomba 2 was a HUGE part of my childhood, but the worse part was is that I could never actually remember the damn name of it, thank you for reminding me about this masterpiece.
My Top 10 PSOne games are: Even though I love all of them equally but if I had to put it in top 10 then here it is! 10. Fighting Force 2 9. Toy Story 2 8. Crash Bash 7. Die Hard Trilogy 6. Tekken 2 5. Spyro the Dragon 4. Crash Team Racing 3. Metal Gear Solid 2. Spiderman 1. Crash Bandicoot 3 WARPED!!
Love this! I'm tired of the same old top 10 best games. I like hearing peoples' personal favorites. I can actually hear about games I've never played before.
Eeeeyyyyyyh, was cool to see Tombi at the top of your list. Tombi is not just my favourite game on the PS1, but my favourite videogame of all time, full stop. Shame it wasn't as popular as other titles on the console like Spyro and FF7, it truly deserved it, and it's a shame it's such a rarity nowadays.
Things like Tombi are a good case for downloads and emulation in my opinion. It's an underappreciated gem that didn't do well on release, and has pretty much zero chance of being rereleased in any form. The perfect definition of abandonware.
While I never really played much of the original Ape Escape, its sequels are some of my favorite games of all time. And while 2 has my favorite ape catching memories, levels and atmosphere, 3 had Aki...and life is better with Aki.

Yasss Tombi! I've been watching your videos for a few days and hearing a lot of Tombi music in them so I was looking forward to finding a video where you actually talk about the game! I loved it as a kid and I still love it to bits, so I'm glad to know I'm not the only one! Usually nobody has even HEARD of it.
I just ordered Tombi right now off of Amazon. No price below £100 though but I don't care. I loved playing the demo in my childhood so playing this game is going to be a blast.
beefcurtainz69 Yeah I got it the day after I ordered it. I'm from the UK and I saw about 3 of them. The lowest I've seen is £109 and that's probably only with the disc.
beefcurtainz69 I played the demo and bits of the full game long ago so I have some Nostalgic connection towards it. I actually got really hooked onto the game mainly because of the satisfaction of completing quests with that catchy completion jingle. It's a 2.5D action, adventure game with some RPG elements in it. You have lots of side quests to complete (About 130 of them) and you can get some really good items from them. The game is pretty tough but it's not overwhelmingly difficult. I'd recommend you buy it in the PS store on PS3 since it's much cheaper but if you don't have one and you're really desperate to play it, I'd say get it but don't expect to be paying less than £/$100. Watch some letsplays on the game until you're really sure you want to buy it.
Caddicarus I really don't know how to thank you, I missed a lot of great ps1 games and so I bought Oddworld Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus and tekken 1,2 and 3, and Tomba, those have to be some of the greatest games I've ever played, thank you.
I'm 7 years late but heres my list in no particular order: -Resident Evil 1 2 and 3 -Crash Bandicoot 1 and 2 -CTR -Spyro The Dragon -Silent Hill -Metal Gear Solid -Rayman -Tomb Raider
10. Tekken 2 9. Broken Sword Shadow of the Templar 8. Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets 7. Rayman 6. Tarzan 5. Harry Potter Philosopher's Stone 4. Croc2 3. Crash Bandicoot Warped 2 MediEvil 1. Crash Bandicoot Racing
It's the most memorable PS1 game that I ever played. It may be because it was the first RPG I ever played, but I'm not sure. I replayed it about a year ago and it was still very, very good. It's a shame that it didn't get much coverage. I would have loved a sequel. Can you imagine playing a new Legend of Dragoon? I think I just drooled a little.
My favorite on PS1 is FFVIII hands down. The story, the characters, the battle system-okay it can be a bit tedious but still, the card game and the graphics man! Those graphics pushed the PS1 to its limit!
I feel that the junctioning system added more strategy and sure the GF summons can be a bit lengthy, but they're more or less as lengthy in FF7. (FF8 was my first so I don't know if it's nostalgia or not, but it is my favorite of all FF games) I haven't tried CT, but I've heard a lot of good things about it. If we're pointing fingers at specific eras for worst jrpgs, I'll bet that there is a game far worse than FF8.
thetattooedyoshi Junctioning essentially broke the game. For experienced players who know what Items and cards to refine its so easy to get really high stats very early. However. I love that game to death and abusing the junction system is one of my favourite things to do.
Spyro 3 was my first game I ever played, so naturally it's my favorite. I actually downloaded it a few months ago and it's like riding a bike, those controls are so smooth.
Charjune YEAH SPYRO Although my favorite spyro game wasn't Spyro: Year of the Dragon Spyro had a great series up untill the 6th game and skylander, My favorite is Spyro the Dragon
Jonathan RiseAndShower If I could get a word in, Skylanders isn't a bad game in fact I think the only problem in the case of the first game is that it is to easy. Other than that they really aren't that bad.
Spyro was literally my childhood! It is such a good game series... well. Excluding Skylanders. Played through it and I'm sure that game is for like. 8 year olds. Even the newer Upgrade-based Spyro XBOX360 game was pretty darn good! I wish that I could play these again with the same magic I had as a kid... ♡ (But sadly I also played Duke Nukem and had my brain rocked by Tomb Raider as a 3 year old xD)
Caddicarus, I hope you read this, but I'll appreciate if some of you guys give me your opinions too. I want to buy an old console - I never had the chance to grow up playing Zelda or Final fantasy or Silent hill or Sonic, etc.. Instead, I played PC games. But some time ago I started watching lots of videos about those old games that I mentioned, and frankly, I want to experience playing some of those games on the consoles they are meant to be played on. So if you were me, and you had to choose, which old console would you get? (NES, PS1, PS2, PSP, Gamecube, etc)
I'm torn between the PS2 (Because backwards compatibility and the PS2 had, in my opinion, one of the best libraries of all time), or a Gamecube (Because it also had one of the best libraries I've ever seen as well.) I suppose it would all depend on what exactly you want to play. If you want to play Silent Hill (and trust me, you only want to play the first four, or play them first before getting into the monstrosities that are the western developed "Silent Hill games"), you should get a PS2. PS1/2 had lots of good horror titles to their credit like Resident Evil (1-4, and that includes things like Code Veronica, Zero, and Survivor), Silent Hill (1-4), Clock Tower, Haunting Ground, and others. PS1/2 also had the Final Fantasy games (and I HIGHLY recommend VIII out of all of the others. Yes, even VII), and things like MediEvil, Spyro the dragon, Crash Bandicoot, among others. Gamecube is the way you want to go if you want to play old school Nintendo games, but don't want to go all the way back to the 64 or the NES (Not that they're bad, mind you. ;D). That's the console that had a lot of awesome Nintendo classics, like Wind Waker, Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door, Killer 7, Luigi's Mansion, and of course it had games like Pokemon Colosseum, and it's sequel Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, which had something no other Pokemon game had: The only way you could catch Pokemon was "snagging" them from the bad guys using a device called the Snag Machine. (I could go on for hours about this game, really.) Gamecube also had some Resident Evil games, like the RE 1 remake, 2, 3, Code Veronica and even RE4 (Though the PS2 version had more extras to it, and the PS1/2 had more RE games in total). Gamecube also had a very interesting (though vastly different) Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles. In the end, it all really hinges on what you want to play, as each of those consoles offers something completely different. :3 Good luck with whatever console you choose, though.
Depends on what you want to play I guess. I'd say PS2 might be your best bet, since then you'll be able to experience both PS1 and PS2 games (although you'll have to buy a separate Memory Card if you want to play PS1 games).
its my second favorite. A very good game and I love how they came back to the original class system, but I just think FFVII has a bit of a deeper and more varied story line, even though FFIX was f***ing epic. The reason is you get a story for everyone in FFVII, but not so much in FFIX, which just revolves around Garnet and Zidane for the most part.
I think my top ten is 10: Syphonfilter, 9: CTR, 8: Croc Legend of the Gobbos, 7: Tekken 3 6: Ape Escape 5: Final Fantasy I & II (Playstaion port. They were on the same disk so yeah...) 4: Crash Warped 3: FFVII 2: FFIX 1: Spyro: Riptos Rage
Katie Hunter I've played Croc, too. It was my first PSone game. But compared to Spyro, Crash and even Klonoa, Gex and Tombi, it just can't quite keep up.
You only have a PAL copy of Spyro 3? You poor sod! You never experienced the polished, fixed version of the game! Your version is even missing 8 music tracks. That is how sad it is.
Thanks for this series Caddicarus. All of my child defining games were on this list (besides FF8). Crash, Spyro, MGS, Abe's, Tekken, Tombi. Nostalgia-gasim achieved.
10:MediEvil 9:Crash Team Racing 8:Silent Hill 7:Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped 6:Resident Evil 5:Ape Escape 4:Oddworld Abe's Exodus 3:Spyro Year Of The Dragon 2:Metal Gear Solid 1:Tombi
Funny how they used to change the titles a lot for different regions back then. It was subtitled "Gateway to Glimmer" in the UK, and whenever I see the US title it doesn't feel right to me.
I just came here to find some good PS1 roms to download and you gained yourself a subscriber! You're insanely funny, yet still very informative. Keep up the great work!
***** What are you talking about? That game has a huge fan base lol. I've never played it, but I know it's an amazing game, will buy it when I find it cheap.
I've noticed that too. I live in the UK, so we always got the PAL covers. When I see some of the US cover art on certain games it makes me wonder what the fuck they were thinking. PS1 games also have really awesome (but easily broken) cases in PAL regions.
What a wicked count down. This is why I like PS1 games. I played most of these these as a kid and still do 20 years later. Cheers for reminding me of a lot of cool games I used to play.
It seems that Caddicarus doesn't play RPGs at all. There are none in this list whatsoever, and he never made a video about a RPG. Well, too bad. The RPGs on the PS1 are very great, and there are a lot of them. My favorites would probably be: Grandia, Xenogears, Valkyrie Profile, Star Ocean 2, and most of all, Final Fantasy 9, which is also one of my favorite games ever, along with Persona 3.
***** Yeah, I like the MG series as well, but in my opnion, MGS1 isn't the best game ever. The Metal Gear Series has a brilliant storyline, but the gameplay is often a bit clunky or stiff. Besides, they are often a bit short, although 10 hours is pretty much standard nowadays.
In a later video, I think it was the "My Top 10 Games That I Don't Like... But Everyone Else Does" video, he stated that he tried to play FF7 but he couldn't get into it. I wouldn't outright say he doesn't like RPGs, but he probably doesn't like turn-based RPGs or Japanese RPGs. It can happen, just like how I can't stand a fighting or racing game for the life of me. I do like PS1 RPGs though, up there with the quality of SNES RPGs. I scratch my head when people say the PS2 was best in that department, while it did do well...it didn't do THAT well. Sadly, I have yet to play those that you mentioned. Though they are certainly on my list of games to buy on the PSN store.
Siveon JRPGs are not a genre. It's actually "console- style RPGs" and "PC-style- RPGs". It's pretty ridiculous to categorize a game by it's country where it's produced. For example, Child of Light and South Park Stick of Truth are console- style RPGs from western developers, while Demon's / Dark Souls are PC- style RPGs from japanese developers. Besides, console- style RPGs don't have to be turn- based. One of the best RPG series in my opinion, the Tales series, has a real- time batttle system, that is much better than anything you can find in the FF series, except for Crisis Core, maybe. The tri- ace games have real- time battle mechanics most of the time as well, and are very good. Star Ocean 4 or Resonance of Fate belong to the best RPGs this generation.
Vivi Orunitia Yeah, I'm not gonna argue labels of a genre with you. Many people use JRPG as a genre, and I do too. Though I will say the way you use it can get confusing.
Siveon Well, JRPGs are not a genre to begin with. Sites like Gamefaqs use the PC- / console- style system, and most review sites and people did that too until the PS2 era, I think. The whole term JRPG/ WRPG is just wrong, especially when there are games from both asian and western countries that don't fit in their "territory". The main difference between console and PC RPGs is the fact that console RPGs tend to focus on the story and characters, while PC- RPGs focus on grinding, exploration and customizing you character.
Thank you, my good sir, for reminding me of so many games from my childhood that have since faded from my memory, my parents swung the ban hammer on video games when I was young so I have few memories of them, yet literally every game on this list brings back some of the greatest moments from my childhood.
Has no one played 40 Winks? Seriously that game had some thought and imagination kind of like his #1. Well because of the same reasons and because it has some of the coolest hollowen, spooky setting with its own cartoony humor and flare to it. Seriously 40 Winks.. Go play it!!! And MediEvil. And Ghost ship.
bigzachful Oh my god, 40 Winks was a glorious game, I grew up with that and Tombi and played them until the disks stopped working. 40 Winks was fun and frustrating, but also so rewarding when you completed a section you were stuck on for a long time. My only complaint is that the Vita port of it was a big glitchy mess, which is so upsetting for such a great game.
I just want to let you know, Abe holds a special place within my heart. Literally love you dude. No one knows about that series. Sony and Oddworld Inhabitants redid the original and called it New-N-Tasty!
+thomas garrett (Pokemastertomm) i'm sure your parents will let you play an 18 (might even be 16) rated ps1 game that doesnt even have that much bad stuff in it if you ask them nicely
Paul Bauer My guess as to why is, there is a huge rivalry between the three PS1 Final Fantasy games, and he probably didn't want to divide has audience on that one.
tagyrt Actually he just strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't like that type of menu based combat game. I didn't like resident evil at all. so yeah, not everyone likes the same thing x2
DJWaffleston Hehe, thanks! The worst thing is, I like FF7 and 8, but there are way better games and it's very tiring seeing atleast 7 making top 10 lists all the time. It would be a 10 or 9 at best considering the size and quality of some the Playstations library. Sure there was some crap in there as well, but there was a lot of gold!
Instead of doing PS1 games only, I'll do any game from any system. 10. Mike Tyson's PunchOut 9. Battlefield 3 8. GTA 5 7. Mega Man 2 6. Far Cry 3 5. Assassin's Creed 2 4. Beyond Good and Evil 3. TLoZ: Twilight Princess 2. Super Mario Galaxy 1. Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.
You have awesome choices caddy for your ps1 games, they happen to be my favorites and nostalgic for me too, will some of them but you encouraged me to try the ones I couldn't play, thanx mate ;)
This is an EPIC list!! It contains all the games i loved on PS1, Toy story, Spyro, CTR, Medievil, looney tunes...etc.Good stuff man. and yes, It's CTFR!hahaha
When you mentioned Final Fantasy(btw this is your first video that i'm watching, aside from, of course, part 1 of this countdown), I was ready to clode youtube, but then, "THERE ISN'T ONE", I thought "I think I'm in love". Awesome video man.
It fells really nice to see the franchise that got me into video gaming at number 1, especially with it being such an obscure one (even if it is the first game).
12:07 *sigh* I gotta admit, when that music started up, my inner 5 year old went nuts. Spyro 3 is absolutely sacred to me, and I could probably draw you map layouts for those first few levels, I've played them so often.
It's amazing how you took care of your PS1 CD's. Although some had casing cracks, they looked awesome. Great job dude
You know, I like how Caddy says that they are not the best games, they are what he likes best. Basically, there is no such thing as "best" or "worst". trueloveis4u Very true. It still doesn't mean "best" or "worst" games. Bestsellers can still be hated and worstsellers can still be liked.
buzzboy 24 I thought that was what I was saying.
RPGirl exactly.I was just giving other people an example
buzzboy 24 Oh, okay. And likewise, games like Ocarina of Time have been named as being amazing yet there are people that despise it.
RPGirl actually, that is a better example.thanks
So glad i watched this! rediscovering games you loved back then is stupid exciting xD
AC3>all PS1 games. IMO
+Sky Eye -_-
Here's my top 10 in no particular order

Finally!!! I've found someone who gives Spyro some fair respect!! XD
*****
Yeah, but most online game critics barely ever even MENTION Spyro. I think this vid's a welcome change of pace. :¬)
yea
I agree, Spyro is a great game that totally deserves to be on these lists in my opinion. So this is nice
Mayeur000Donz ME TOO! SPYRO IS MY WHOLE LIFE
Spyro is my all time favourite franchise. Spryo 2 was my childhood.
28 now and waiting for delivery of a spyro statue 😂😂😂
I’ll be honest, I cheered when I heard the music for Medievil. I love that game and I still play it. I love the music, locations, characters, story. Everything. It is awesome.
Spyro was half my childhood right there. Never got the third game, but I used to play 1 and 2 endlessly...and Ripto's Rage was the first game that I ever completed 100%, which says something because I normally don't bother doing that. That game was worth it to me.
I wish Mr. Caddicarus kept this hairstyle. I loved it. He's grown, he can do whatever he wants, but damn this hairstyle was really cool.
I agree.
To be fair, he's almost back to it in 2021.
I LOVE both the Tomba games! They give me so much nostalgia!
Those are in my all time favorites for sure! Tomba!
I think I love you. Spyro: Year of the dragon I think might be the best game in existence. Little gutted no 'Heart of Darkness' though.
It's nice to see someone else that knows about the Oddworld on the PS1. Abe's Exoddus was my favorite game on that console. I mostly played Nintendo consoles as a kid, but Oddworld was the one franchise that made me pick up a PS1 controller and play.
Abe's Odyssey were one of my first games Ive ever played. Still love it though Exodus is a wee bit better imo.
YOU ARE NOW MY FAVORITE, CADDICARUS! There are no words for how much I love your #1, that is my absolute favorite game as well. I have such unimaginable joy when anyone so much as mentions it, the fact you made it #1....just...thank you!
Tomba (Tombi) is the best game ever! It's a shame the company no longer exists....
I'm so jealous of your collection :')
Surprised that despite been his favourite game of all time here, Caddy never did a full review of Tombi

Tomba 2 was a HUGE part of my childhood, but the worse part was is that I could never actually remember the damn name of it, thank you for reminding me about this masterpiece.

Best console
All of my best gaming memories were on Playstation (1, 2, & 3)...they just get me!
While I never really played much of the original Ape Escape, its sequels are some of my favorite games of all time.
And while 2 has my favorite ape catching memories, levels and atmosphere, 3 had Aki...and life is better with Aki.

I love the game but always get lost it forget what I’m supposed to be doing if i leave it a while ha
the fact alone that everyone's favorite games on the PSX is so diverse just shows how stellar the system itself was. It had the BEST RPGs (my favorite genre), BEST platformers, adventure games, horror games, etc., etc., etc.
My Top 5 for PSX is:
5.) Breath of Fire III
4.) Mega Man X4I
3.) MGS
2.) Resident Evil 2
1.) Final Fantasy IX
All great picks. Final Fantasy IX is my personal favorite as well.
Martian Gothic was a very nostalgic game to me. The only 2 background themes it has is the most disturbing stuff I've ever heard.
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature is fucking awesome. Still play it.
My childhood PS1 life is basically; rayman, hercules, tarzan, nba 2001, fifa, spyro, tekken 3, worms world party etc. Good fucking times
I would have never gotten into horror games either if i never completed resident evil 4, but i'm soo happy i did!
And Tombi or Tomba was one of the best no doubt, wish they still made them
>:(
I just ordered Tombi right now off of Amazon. No price below £100 though but I don't care. I loved playing the demo in my childhood so playing this game is going to be a blast.
Have u gotten yet? I want to order one too. I think there are several of them correct?
beefcurtainz69 Yeah I got it the day after I ordered it. I'm from the UK and I saw about 3 of them. The lowest I've seen is £109 and that's probably only with the disc.
+Evil Trapezium so how do you like it? I have never played it but was thinking of trying it. Was it worth your purchase?

So, how'd you like it?
Caddicarus I really don't know how to thank you, I missed a lot of great ps1 games and so I bought Oddworld Abe's Oddysee and Exoddus and tekken 1,2 and 3, and Tomba, those have to be some of the greatest games I've ever played, thank you.
Caddicarus, would you be so kind to give us an Ape Escape Restrospective?

I'm 100% shocked that Legend Of Dragoon was not on here some where...
It would probably cause the world to explode with the awesomeness!
Maybe one day, man. Maybe one day.
TLOD is my number one all time favorite video game OF ALL TIME!
Caddi doesn't like RPGs
I'll try it if I come across the opportunity. Also am very much hyped for FF15. It looks like it just might redeem Square.
thetattooedyoshi Junctioning essentially broke the game.
About Spyro: Year of the Dragon: I know EXACTLY what you're talking about and agree with it. :)
(But sadly I also played Duke Nukem and had my brain rocked by Tomb Raider as a 3 year old xD)
+Charjune I know this post is old but man the Spyro series are my favorite games ever but Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage is my favorite game of all time.
I'm torn between the PS2 (Because backwards compatibility and the PS2 had, in my opinion, one of the best libraries of all time), or a Gamecube (Because it also had one of the best libraries I've ever seen as well.)
I suppose it would all depend on what exactly you want to play.
I say get a ps2 or an nes
Or an n64
Depends on what you want to play I guess. I'd say PS2 might be your best bet, since then you'll be able to experience both PS1 and PS2 games (although you'll have to buy a separate Memory Card if you want to play PS1 games).
IDK about that, I play a fair amount of PS1 games, and really enjoy them.
Final Fantasy IX is my favourite PS1 game.
its my second favorite.
PsiCho Entertainment
that is true, i was a liiiittle bit disappointed, that there is not more to learn about the other characters but is still love it
I think my top ten is 10: Syphonfilter, 9: CTR, 8: Croc Legend of the Gobbos, 7: Tekken 3 6: Ape Escape 5: Final Fantasy I & II (Playstaion port. They were on the same disk so yeah...) 4: Crash Warped 3: FFVII 2: FFIX 1: Spyro: Riptos Rage

5. Silent Hill
4. Resident Evil 3
3. Croc
2. Crash 3: Warped
1. Spyro 2
Croc is on here because it was my first game, so I have fond memories of it.
Finally! I found someone else who's played croc.
NotOrdinaryInGames Don't care
Thanks for this series Caddicarus. All of my child defining games were on this list (besides FF8). Crash, Spyro, MGS, Abe's, Tekken, Tombi. Nostalgia-gasim achieved.
Kula World
Tarzan
Rayman
Croc 2
Worms Armageddon
Crash Bash
Oddworld: Exoddus
My favorite PS1 games of all time.
favourite PS1 game EVER to me has to be Disney's Hercules which was the first game i ever played and completed :D
OMG that game was so awesome, soooo awesome. Time to boot up the PS1 emulator!
PixelCortex Fuck emulators, I buy them online and play them on a PS3
Drag Black
Play them on a PS1

He did it
@@isilije He hadn't 9 years ago but thanks anyway

Spyro riptos Rage aka Spyro 2 was my fucking favorite!!!! My second favorite is spyro 3 !!!! Best games ever and NOTHING will ever be better
Funny how they used to change the titles a lot for different regions back then. It was subtitled "Gateway to Glimmer" in the UK, and whenever I see the US title it doesn't feel right to me.
medievil....i miss that game ;-;
I do too dude :/
It was remade for PSP. That's a positive.
CrazySeanDX
thank you so much for this information! i shall hug you!
that was on his 20-11 top PS1 games countdown u know part 1 of this video that u should of watched 1st as he even linked it at the start of the video
Remake for ps4 incoming!
Atlantis anyone?
YES
No.
I just came here to find some good PS1 roms to download and you gained yourself a subscriber! You're insanely funny, yet still very informative. Keep up the great work!
The amount of times ive played spyro the year of the dragon... my god
Spyro 3 is my favourite game of all time
My list:
1. Crash Bandicoot 2
2. Spyro 2
3. Abe's oddysee
4. Rayman 1
5. Tombi/Tomba 1
6. Tekken 3
7. Croc 2
8. Ghost in the shell
9. Medievil
10.Driver 2
If it wasn't for the one game per franchises, i would put all 3 Crash Bandicoot games + all 3 Spyro games top in the top :D
That is some impecable taste right there. I was also not aware there was a Ghost in the Shell game on the PS1. I will have to remedy my ignorance.
Caddi you gotta keep making videos bro. I can watch em all freakin day
i am surprised that castlevania SoTN was not on the list XD
Thank god another person who recognizes the bliss that is that game
***** What are you talking about? That game has a huge fan base lol. I've never played it, but I know it's an amazing game, will buy it when I find it cheap.
OMGpandemic i realize that i just meant in the comments for this vid lol
I'm surprised as well.
OMGpandemic You could always emulate it.
Crash Bandicoot 3, Twisted Metal 2, Oddworld Abe's Exoddes :3
Surprised at the lack of Symphony of the Night anywhere on this list.
Surprised, and very disappointed.
That Silent Hill cover art was gorgeous. Is that an EU version? Better looking than the ordinary Black &White/Grey cover I have.
I've noticed that too. I live in the UK, so we always got the PAL covers. When I see some of the US cover art on certain games it makes me wonder what the fuck they were thinking. PS1 games also have really awesome (but easily broken) cases in PAL regions.
We had tomba 2 :D
spyro was my childhood, uag, suuch a great game >-
GREAT list Cadd... The PS1 gives me so many freaking feels... I did a list of top 10 as well, if ya'll want more nostalgic goodness!! #Retro
What a wicked count down. This is why I like PS1 games. I played most of these these as a kid and still do 20 years later. Cheers for reminding me of a lot of cool games I used to play.
it was nice when Caddy looked normal
No Legend of the Dragoon? No Megaman Legends? No Bloody Roar? No Tail concierto? No, Musashi Samrai warrior? *Sob*
Read the title
*MY*
BenWhoWhat? He never said Caddi was wrong, he just said he was sad he didn't like those games.
*****
Yeah, I like the MG series as well, but in my opnion, MGS1 isn't the best game ever.
Siveon
JRPGs are not a genre.
Siveon
Well, JRPGs are not a genre to begin with.
Spyro 3 :') oh the nostalgia
I would love if you checked out Sheep raider for PS1 :D
I just want to let you know, Abe holds a special place within my heart. Literally love you dude. No one knows about that series. Sony and Oddworld Inhabitants redid the original and called it New-N-Tasty!
I LOVE TOMBA! 2
+ChunkyBunny2 TOMBI!!!!
+ChunkyBunny2 I acutally preffer Tomba 2 just purely beacuse of story and the side scrolling 3d action :D
+Muzzerie I know that feel bro
My favorite PS1 game was Halo CE.
Please tell me you're joking...
Why?
Jonathan Crane Halo CE wasn't on the PS1.
Of course I'm joking.
you shouldve said it you were not joking and luigimario1144 should stop being stupid and start playing uncharted on his stupid N64
top 20 PS2 games plz :)
I already liked ur vids but going back and watching this one, that number 1 sealed it. Truly a 10/10.
Metal Gear Solid looks awesome, but I'm 14 and I'm not allowed to play rated M games. I guess I'll just wait 3 years
+thomas garrett (Pokemastertomm) I can respect that. Good luck to you when you get there. I play dark souls at 12. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Porter Ewing I can't tell if you're making fun of me or being sincere
Both.
Porter Ewing What's so funny about me not being allowed to play rated M games?
+thomas garrett (Pokemastertomm) i'm sure your parents will let you play an 18 (might even be 16) rated ps1 game that doesnt even have that much bad stuff in it if you ask them nicely
If a top 10 ps1 games list doesnt have a single Crash game, well then it's really bad.
Agreed
Especially if it's warped
*cough* watchmojo*cough*
Yep
Eren Roso Watch Mojo's list doesn't have a Crash game?! HOW DARE THEY COMMIT SUCH AN UNFORGIVABLE CRIME
Favorite ps1 game lsd dream emulator
I literally just spent a week completing both Tomba/Tombi 1+2... my god. The effort put into those games...
no final fantasy game o come on
Not everyone likes the same thing, get over it.
Farseer Flore < This man knows what's up.
Paul Bauer My guess as to why is, there is a huge rivalry between the three PS1 Final Fantasy games, and he probably didn't want to divide has audience on that one.
tagyrt
Actually he just strikes me as the kind of guy who wouldn't like that type of menu based combat game.
Sure there was some crap in there as well, but there was a lot of gold!
woah woah woah, WTF. only #7, that should be #1
RAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Calm down.
Minimu5e Keep Calm and Multishine.
Instead of doing PS1 games only, I'll do any game from any system.

You are a legend Caddi. Tombi no 1. One of my most favourite games ever and underrated.
No final fantasy, fine. But no Twisted Metal? Forshame.
Your stellar review of Abe's Exodus is so on point. My thoughts exactly, what a game!
It looks like the best Oddworld game. I wouldn't actually know, as I unfortunately have never played an Oddworld title. Never got a chance :(
You have awesome choices caddy for your ps1 games, they happen to be my favorites and nostalgic for me too, will some of them but you encouraged me to try the ones I couldn't play, thanx mate ;)
This is an EPIC list!!
It contains all the games i loved on PS1, Toy story, Spyro, CTR, Medievil, looney tunes...etc.Good stuff man.
and yes, It's CTFR!hahaha
Wow...playing 2 horror games at 5-7 years old? You're the man, Caddy.
When you mentioned Final Fantasy(btw this is your first video that i'm watching, aside from, of course, part 1 of this countdown), I was ready to clode youtube, but then, "THERE ISN'T ONE", I thought "I think I'm in love". Awesome video man.
Close*
Fantastic videos! I don't know how I've missed your channel for so long but you totally earned the sub.
It fells really nice to see the franchise that got me into video gaming at number 1, especially with it being such an obscure one (even if it is the first game).
Loved the video man! About damn time someone pays respect to Tombi/Tomba!
12:07
*sigh*
I gotta admit, when that music started up, my inner 5 year old went nuts. Spyro 3 is absolutely sacred to me, and I could probably draw you map layouts for those first few levels, I've played them so often.
