I've always considered the tracks made for Dwarf Fortress by Simon Swerwer to be the best fan-made OST, but this one is right up there. I only just installed it, I'll have to listen more before I can decide between the two. Both are fantastic work.
I know this may sound silly, but to me this work and mod is a prime example of what it means to make it in life. This soundtrack is: - Completely free; made for the enjoyment of others - A homage to another great work (Rimworld) that manages to stay true to it - Excellent in and of itself I don't have much creative energy in me but I'd be damn proud to make some piece of art like this in my lifetime.
2:35:20 I remember this song playing after my tribe had abandoned their colony to make their way to the landed ship. Maybe that's why it makes me think of adventure and new beginnings. The ship on that save file had landed on the ice sheet and the journey there was 46 days long, so it was quite an expedition, but all 10 of my tribespeople made it safe and sound, and with the help of our psycasters, we held off the mechs long enough to escape. The only casualties were a tamed megaspider who already had severe brain damage and a bonded warg for whom I had to install a mod just to bring with us. So far that's the only time I've won a game with Ship to the Stars, and every time I hear this song it makes me think of that game, the journey we had, and the 1500 packaged survival meals we brought with us.
Legacy (01:54:51), back in the saddle (02:09:00) and valiant (02:27:18) are my favorite. I just got a +15 mood buff for the next 24 hours and even an inspiration thanks to these 2 master piece. I'm so happy I even ate without a table and don't care.

Holy shit, i had just been listening to the 2021 version for a while on loop and i loved it. but a couple weeks later, i realized there's a 2022 version with 40+ MORE MINUTES OF CONTENT! HELL YES THANK YOU! At first i thought p-music meant "piano" music and it was just a piano cover, but i loved rimworld music so much i thought id try it. I came in with low expectations and was BLOWN AWAY with all this original music made to SOUND like the original! Again, i love your music. this is great. thanks for doing this.

One of the greatest soundtracks ever composed. The authenticity and thematic coherence of these pieces with the overall feel and tone of the game is truly amazing. This soundtrack really does embody 'Rimworld', from the melancholy notes of 'Tough Life', the peaceful melody of 'Sunlight', to the struggle and desperation of 'Final Stand '. I wasn't really on board with the idea of custom music for Rimworld until I downloaded this mod on a whim. Now, it's definitely a mainstay cause this entire soundtrack is amazing.

Kinda funny story. During the last months of my wifes pregnancy I was playing Rimworld a lot and P-Music is always installed ofc. Whenever I play Rimworld now 2 years later and she hears this music... she gets pregnancy flashbacks haha edit: Also Valiant... Fantastic.
Was playing Rimworld, heavily modded, was having a good day, then one of those creatures from the V.O.I.D factions busts through my Storage dome, just one, a massacre happens, 5 people in critical shape, and one dead, we kill the thing. When we start having a funeral, and the song Never Forgotten starts playing, rest in peace Canbi, you'll be missed, and the war against V.O.I.D is on
Had this mod for so long and never took it out of my modlist for so long that I don't even recognise it as a mod. An essential part of Rimworld, even going as far when I think of Rimworld music I think of this mod forgetting that it was even a mod. I get nostalgia trips when I listen to Tough Life and Move Away.
*Tough Life* has consistently been one of my favorite scores of all time. That one captures the idea of Despair and New Hope like nothing else. Truly a masterpiece!
God what can I say about this mod, i just remember installing it because I got interested in the name and wanted to see how it compared to the vanilla ost, I know we rimworld fans are some of the worst war criminals that ever existed but the slice of life vibes this game gives me is amazing. Landed a one-person colony one game on a island and spent 3 years there, saved a tribal guy, and somehow my original colonist just fell in love with the dude, they spent another 3 years on the isles till Randy "crazy boi" Random decided to throw a thunderstorm and destroyed everything on the isles when I put my colonist to travel to the plains near the coast and I heard Stay Strong playing and saw the dumb traveling sprites moving across that planet, it just made me realize how much I love this game. Thanks for the great music Peppsen it made me some great memories.

Far Away is so damn good. It hits so hard after having gone through a major event, where you lost a colonist or part of your base because of an attack or disaster. It just feels so sad and hopeful at the same time.

Same thing happened to me just as another commentor here. I had subbed this mod for soooo long, that I thought have either not subbed the mod, or it its not working for latest version, as I am unable to listen to anything that sounds remotely 'un-rimworldy'. Thanks! I don't mind answering questions. Most of the tracks were written and produced by myself, with a few exceptions. United is a mashup and the guitar parts in Honor, Cruel World and The Fallen were done by my friend ZumZum. Most instruments are VST, with a few exceptions as well. I go into more detail on how I produce my music in my livestream videos.
Bought Rimworld for a friend a few years ago for her birthday but I had never played it. About two days ago I finally decided to get it myself. I asked her if there's any mods she recommends, and she sent me P-Music. I thought I had been listening to the Rimworld OST for so long cause I had some of these songs saved on my personal playlist. Genuinely beautiful music. I'd say Stay Strong is my favorite song on here, and it felt real good hearing it play in game for the first time :)
I knew this soundtrack from 2021 and still listening to this till this day, but i just discovered it has its own youtube(and i glad youtube recommend it to me) , i remember one of my playthrough along with this mod which basically is 1 super soldier colony with another mods, after 7 years with 3 billion wealth (Using Vanilla Trading Expansion Mod) , i get raided by VOID mod and Kraltech Industry mod with 200+ raider. It is so laggy that i decided to cut majority of Raid using Dev Mode, so it were just 75 raider with unfathomably stats (2000% blunt armor, etc), then i sent my pawn to fight them all, took me 8 hours just to kill 50 of them. This fight along with Red Code song 39:09 music is one of the most intense moment of all time for me. im sooo gladd i can listen to this masterpiece, really changed my perspective of video game soundtrack. Rimworld would never be the same without P-Music (2)
Hands down a mod that you should never play without, if you like Rimworld. This mod is so primordial as the game itself. No great experiences can happen without great ambient music.

I knew this soundtrack from 2021 and still listening to this till this day, but i just discovered it has its own youtube(and i glad youtube recommend it to me) , i remember one of my playthrough along with this mod which basically is 1 super soldier colony with another mods, after 7 years with 3 billion wealth (Using Vanilla Trading Expansion Mod) , i get raided by VOID mod and Kraltech Industry mod with 200+ raider. It is so laggy that i decided to cut majority of Raid using Dev Mode, so it were just 75 raider with unfathomably stats (2000% blunt armor, etc), then i sent my pawn to fight them all, took me 8 hours just to kill 50 of them. This fight along with Red Code song 39:09 music is one of the most intense moment of all time for me. im sooo gladd i can listen to this masterpiece, really changed my perspective of video game soundtrack. Rimworld would never be the same without P-Music (2)
