Fished that river my entire life. Caught and released a 31.2 lb MONSTER STEELHEAD at the 2nd hole you fished in this video. Just shy of the state record of 33lbs. Using an 8'6" Loomis GL-3 baitcasting rod, Shimano curado reel, with 8lb Andy mono line and ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS #3 or (#4 in high water) GOLD steelhead by BUD spinner. Always GOLD on that river. Every steelhead I've ever caught on spinners in that river were caught on GOLD BUD spinners. I lived on that river for 20 years and fished it every day it was open. I've moved to South Carolina and fly back every 6 months for salmon in Sept. And steelhead on that same river in February. You guys are awesome and I've learned a lot watching y'all float fish. We never use to use floats back in the day. We drift fished corkey and yarn bouncing pencil lead on the bottom. I love watching addicted videos getting to see all the rivers back home. Thank you.
I have to say, spinners and jigs are my go to methods, but I do like running plugs too! You should do a paint your own plug challenge. Paint up a plug at home and see if it works.
Love thes lads they got me true the worst that any man had to get true not the los of 1 but my wife and 6 month old daughter looking at thes boys and there pashion for fishing like I had got me true it and I am going back fishing here in Ireland this spring tanks to pop and Jordan and all the lads god bless you all and stay Safe my friends
My favorite lure for steelhead was a blue and silver Kastmaster. Great lure, always produced for me. That was up in Alaska, haven't done much fishing down here. Love your videos.
Better Spinner Challenge - hook and land a chinook, coho, chum, and sockeye on the same day, same river. Boss level Challenge if you can toss in a steelhead. Demotion for every humpy. Pen-Tac 4.5" blade for the win. You made the ghost of Jed Davis happy with this video.
@@chrispokefisherman They exist....in that you'd need to find a river that would have strays of the "odd" species. I know of at least 3 OP rivers..and have done this on one of them.
Another awesome video! And glad to meet you guys at the bash! My lure challenge idea is since y'all handed out Spin-n-glows of so many sizes and colors, what are your personal setups for small creek trout, river steelheads and salmon..
I’m am quite jealous that the rivers around you aren’t frozen. All rivers and lakes are frozen around here. So I’m patiently waiting for them to thaw to get back to fishing
Old school lure challenge. No floats. Head to a garage sale and have a budget for each challenger of like $30 and you can only use pre rapala wiggle warts/kwickfish, buds spinners, big little cleos, corkies, hot n tots, yarnies, glo bugs... That would challenge all of you and make for interesting content
I saw you guys and marlin at ridge field trolling for salmon thanks for the amazing experience and information shortly after you left I caught a 32 lb king
Dude thank you, this will help me on my home river here in the Midwest. It's allot like you were describing. I've been making my own spinners for kicks and giggles and I am itching to catch some big fish on them. My associates have, but not me. Yet.
Jordan love your videos and trust your fishing advice, but after seeing you blending those coffee beans up, I definitely won't be trusting your judgment on what is a, "Good cup of Joe" 😂😂😂
Changing up your spinner patterns more often will get you better results. I've found that using a good quality snap swivel aids in quick changes instead of retying, which is ridiculous. You can run 10 different spinners through an area quickly to find what they want to hit, then maybe stick with what's getting bit. Sticking with one or two presentations and hoping for the best isn't usually that productive
Hey Jordan, Id like to go do a lil steelheadin out there when I go visit lil bro out there near university place. Anyway, would love to see you using very tiny salmon egg brass single hooks with a real tiny cured single egg on it on ultralight 4lb. Lead. Im going to try this method out using ultralight gear set up and line.
Just what I needed Jordan I just order my first thing of torpedo body spinners we’ll all the parts I want to put them together myself I can’t wait to get ‘em and try em I’ve used blue foxes and buds lots but those torpedo body’s 🤤
Yeah but in Washington state there's getting to be less And less kokes in the lake's they once put them in you gotta travel farther than it's worth for them. Even for daily limits. 5 fish eh it's over a hundred miles for me to waste my time they are tasty I'll give you that.
I used to take a friend that would use one or 2 spinners all day. The day he caught his first steelhead was the day I gave him 10 spinners(granded they were home made). I told him, if you dont lose every one of these in the bottom of the river by the end of the day(branches dont count🤣), ill never take you again. He caught he's first fish on spinner 4 that day🍻
Fish jerkbaits. I used to fish spinners all the time but quickly learned it wasn’t as productive successful as fishing jerkbaits. It definitely pays off to be a bit different on the water.
may we please go fishing i have been a fan for a long time and i was making jigs and i really want to start to sell them and i want to talk about how to get my small companie started and i really want to get to know how to start and i want you guys to tell me beacuase you guys know how to start a small buiseness
The second river you fished in this video has gone downhill dramatically in the last 10 years. Granted, you caught a fish, but the return on that river isn't what it used to be. Question, have they put in a wild broad stock program on the 2nd river in this video yet?
Challenge idea: old school lures vs modern. Done with period correct tackle would be cool too.
Definitely want this
Need this
19:44 Jordan “stealth mode “then proceeds to tramps down the train like Bigfoot almost broke a rod😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤
Bead from bank challenge! Come to southern oregon for it! Winter Stealhead run is nice right now

how do you know the weight down the decimals if you caught and released?
Good scale. The fish swam away just fine.
I have to say, spinners and jigs are my go to methods, but I do like running plugs too! You should do a paint your own plug challenge. Paint up a plug at home and see if it works.
You guys should try something funky and try to catch a salmon on a bass lure or something like that!
I agree. eagle claw spinning rod, mitchell 300 reel, okie drifter. The good ole days.
Loved it, you guys were awesome
... thanks for what you started marlin, and crew!
Great seeing you guys at the show. Thanks for being awesome!
The best thing was I got to pet Little.............

You guys have the most beautiful rivers and scenery! I would love to see more fly fishing with spinners! Its very interesting and revolutionary.

Good video, can't wait to see the entire gang lined up on a river bank challenging each other!
We need more Cameron!!
I have caught more fish with spinners by letting it drift slowly. Almost like old skool drift fishing
My favorite lure for steelhead was a blue and silver Kastmaster. Great lure, always produced for me. That was up in Alaska, haven't done much fishing down here.

Ain’t nothin wrong with a pink don’t bash them!
I don't get the humpy hate!
Good luck finding a river that has all in Washington and Oregon in the same time of year
The sockeye and chum runs barely overlap... summer chum maybe, but the rivers that have those don't have sockeye in numbers
@@chrispokefisherman They exist....in that you'd need to find a river that would have strays of the "odd" species. I know of at least 3 OP rivers..and have done this on one of them.
Love picking a run apart. Also, a spinner junkie.

Number 15 Panther martin black and gold. Never fails! Just change the factory hook.
I wanna see some spoon action 🤘🏻
Do a spoon challenge or do a learning type challenge and take a method that you're unfamiliar with IE: Center Pin and give it a go.
How about an old school rag drift fish. Ashley could probably school ya in non-bobber drift fishing. Just a suggestion.
Try steelhead fishing with a 6.5/7 ft rod.
Let’s see some worm fishing!
That steelhead was trying out for the olympics!

What do you use in rivers with trenches??
What’s a good pair of polarized glasses to wear for fishing?
What hook is that jordan uses? 2/0 mustad, does it have a model name?
Straight eggs challenge, I know how Jordan despises fishing bait.
My go to lure would have to be blue fox spinner - green 🔥 what’s your favorite lure addicted fam?
Torpedo body Michael Jackson Spinner
