Since my twins are on the spectrum, going out to eat for Mother's Day is an event that doesn't happen around here, and obviously, they can't prepare a meal independently. We compromised on something easy for mom to make! Thank you for sharing your blessings with us.
How can Hannah be 5 months already? Seems like she was just born yesterday. When my brothers and I were small, our mother made us a teepee from a bedsheet. We had maple saplings for a frame, and we painted designs on the sheet, then draped it over the frame and pegged it into the soil. We had so much fun in that tent!

Where you have a freeze dryer you can freeze dry your tomatoes and then powder them abd then just add water to the consistency you want. It saves having to boil it forever to paste. Your tomato plants look amazing ❤.
Just to help out someone else that isn't aware, you can freeze excess tomato paste in the freezer if you don't use all of the can or a bulk can. You put it in the freezer bag and flatten it so you can break off a chunk if you only need a little and it is easier and less space taking that way. Have a great day and thanks for the video.

That’s where I’m at too Jessica. I have things planted but my main crop is Beans, Tomatoes and Bell Peppers. Can’t put them out just yet…but, they are in buckets. So, I carry the bucket outside when the temperature is above 55-60, and bring in at night. The tomatoes are still in the green container waiting to be planted in ground….still to cold here in Michigan at night

Mostly though, I am getting more tapioca and cassava flour, since I am running out.I love making vinegar too. Not only do you save money, but it’s also a much better quality. I do a lot of dehydrating too, since my herbs are booming right now. We are harvesting peas now, and asparagus. Canning and preserving season has definitely started. I ordered extra asparagus plus strawberries from a local farmer, since we don’t grow enough on our own.

Hi Jessica. I wanted to say thank you for the tent idea. I’m a long time watcher but never comment. I am an “older” mom. My youngest (and last) baby is 9 months old. As a 44 year old mom, I don’t have the energy I did when my oldest son (now 21) was little. I’ve struggled to find a way to keep the baby contained and yet still with me, while I garden. I can’t carry him in a baby carrier as I did with my older kids as I’ve suffered some spinal damage after an accident. I just ordered the pop up tent and can’t wait to set it up as a safe play place for him. I think my 5 year old (who has ASD) will also have fun with it! Thank you so much for sharing how you handle life and your homestead while still being a busy mom.
