I'm thinking of buying one of those "Old Wings" I don't want to spend a boatload of cash on a new one. I've always loved that era Goldwing, they were ahead of their time and super comfortable even by today's standards. I already own a 2007 Yamaha Royal Star tour deluxe touring cruiser which I have done plenty of trips on. I want to start using the Yamaha for local riding and find one of these for summer touring trips.
I have one with 40,000 miles on it. It sounds exactly the same. Like it has a hard knock . I wonder what a brand new one sounds like. I had a goldwing standard 1200 that had carbs. it had more miles but sounded better than the limited. The limited edition gets better gas mileage,up to 40mpg.
bike looks like it didnt get much love. Engine is not hitting on all cylinders,,, I know those bikes well, and its hurting,,, needs to be in my garage for free, Ill give it a new life
It's not running on all 4rs.have same bike and can fall asleep when riding. That's how they run and ride,stator issues another thing common here and there.dont post bad running gl limited misfiring like that! Smfh.
Oooh...can you please drive it a bit harder? A bit more normal? This is soooo slow...just too slow. I can't get a good impression of the bike like this. For the rest...keep up the good work.
I have the same bike in dam near perfect condition 130 thousand miles and never skips a beat... tape deck still works...

it probably had a misfire since it was running on old gas and sat for awhile. The bike was sold though so I never found out

Smoke on start is totally normal for a 1200 IF it's been on side stand for a while.
used to have that same jacket i think. sold it on ebay. too small if i remember right.
