That is a very hansom and classic link, I don't think it will ever age in terms of style. Btw this bracelet is gotta be old they don’t make the links like that no more their box locks are hand made well at least mine is and links are alil flatter and doesn’t look that separate no more at least not like that you would think my Cuban came from daniels when u look at the quality

I’ve spent a pretty good amount of $ with las villas. First and foremost customer service with these guys is super solid! Never had any type of issues or miscommunication. I usaully do all my transactions with las villas Via txt message with Oscar. As for the product i’ve had my pieces for very little time and i gotta say im super happy! Weights on point welding is great the locks are tight they hang straight. No problem. With time i will see how good the locks are usually ive seen alot of people complain about the locks losing thier tension . Honestly might be fhe reason why i decide to go with a sleek lock? But man i love the OG box lock . Well see. Awesome to see that you made a Las Villas video i been waiting for this one for a while CUBA !! Much love brother

I bought a 13mm bracelet from them earlier this year and I would have no problem using them again.
I haven't ordered a cuban from them but ordered a ring and love it. They hit out the park. I'd likely buy from them but I think I'm more of a Gus Villa Jewelry fan myself.

for what I have seen I believe that even the meshes are made with the technique of wax casting, cut, connected, welded and finished. That's why you notice a difference between the two sides, the upper rounded the lower flat. I made one in silver very similar apart from the closure ...
Good review as always. This has to be an old bracelet though. I bought an 11mm bracelet from them last year, and it's finished way better and links look better.
Got a 14k 520 gram 24” from them about 2 years ago service was great came in a red velvet box. chains certification sold separately but they do have a thermal scanner to show the purity which was a plus. Heading back there this summer to melt down some old jewelry to make the matching bracelet I was quoted $5 a gram at the time price may very
I got las villas links over 30yrs ago and they produce fine jewelry alot more then daniels daniels has probably been in the game no more then 15yrs. But again i have many cubanlinks and theyre a great heavy link compared to flat daniels
I recently purchased a monaco link 9mm chain. So far so good. Cuba were can I purchase a cross pendant for a good price
They give you more gold than Daniels and the price is a lot better. And they're filing looks way different now you can have your order in three to four weeks

I got a 8mm chain from Las villas with zero issues and it actually came heavier and wider than ordered. I had no problem reaching them when I had questions. 2 separate calls.
Know anything about it supposedly coming in dippen in 18k plating giving a yellow cheesy look?

I have a 14k gold bracelet 144gram 15mm 7 1/2 and I like it but do not pass hand straight test. I removed the gold plating they put on the bracelet (I don’t like gold to be gold plating) its gold plating started to come out and I took the opportunity to completely remove it.
I think LV hangs more straight than DJ in hang test. You tend to be soft on DJ and harsh on other manufacturers. Don't be biased.

If you live in Miami I can borrow you a brand new 10mm bracelet that I am waiting to come in and 5mm necklace. I also bought a 7mm necklace with diamond clasp that I used about 4 times from Las Villas.
Can’t lie, I was debating ordering a 12mm 28 inch chain from them but that file doesn’t sit right with me either.
There links are all filed the same its not just the one your reviewing I was there in person.. I have a 9mm that I purchased from them over a year ago .

Probably dirt but if they are actual holes then it would mean the gold contained carbon specks that were burned out causing small holes

@@vinnyd9777 I'm no jeweler but I would assume if there are actual pits then it is probably a sign of remelted gold that was not cleaned thoroughly before melting. But it's probably just dirt. From my experience all link chains accumulate black dirt at the friction points between links and can be wiped off easily.
@@marko6938 thanks for your response but in my case with both Cuban links from Daniels and lirys both had porosity . Had a pore inbetween the links where you can stick a thin needle inside after the plating wore off
@@vinnyd9777 then that's definitely carbon pits where dirty gold was melted and the carbon was burned off in making the chain. Apparently you can have it fixed but ultimately it is lack of attention to detail on their end with a shitty cover up
I had an 8mm made by them. The chain did not hang straight and would do a complete 180 from end to end. Then they wouldn’t take back saying it supposed to hang like that. Horrible service.

I think the Daniels links being spaced out more is why they look different . Daniels files the deal out of them giving you a lighter product but still overpriced .
Weight varies and depends on final product. I disagree with the link being more spaced out on dji, but L.V. Filing isn’t the same on all products as it depends who they source it from. Some are filed like the video other are filed like DJI as some have even said in the comments as their LV piece looks different, sometimes they have casted locks sometimes handmade. It all depends which effects pricing.
@@Cubaknowloco I agree . las villas has a few different cuban styles floating around . I was referring to website specs. A 10mm 10k 22 inch chain from LV is $5,205 at 155 grams. Daniels same specs is. $6,560 at 147 grams. I know that's before finish but you're starting at a$1,300 dollar difference right off the bat for less gold. The only differentiator is the box lock. Can't knock Daniels box locks as they're truly the best but $1,300 more? Kinda tough for me but I appreciate it . Ballas only shop at Daniels ... 😆. That premium a tough one to justify unless you're cartier .

LV 10mm 10k 22” $5336 with 145g vs dj 10mm 10k 22” $5935 with 158g. $600 difference gets you 13g more. Seems pretty close to me
I'm just gonna put this out there . I ordered a 26 in 8mm 14k In a sleek lock with their appraisal slip and laser engraved initials, chain came with a box lock and they sent it out without informing me that they changed my order , once I asked them why they assumed I didn't wanna wait so they sent it anyways ..I sent it back for what I wanted but this time I upgraded to a 10mm 26in 14k with sleek lock ..chain came 10.85 mm sleek lock no laser engraving and no appraisal slip ... Ordering nightmare and the excuses I got made me out to be the asshole .. on top of that they blocked me from commenting on IG , didn't block me completely but they made sure to block me on the comments .... I def don't recommend them at all

I had a 10mm Daniels Cuban before sending it over to las villas for a 13mm upgrade. Everything you pointed out is exactly on point with the filing and “boxy” shape of the link. They told me my box lock was handmade and I was reassured that many times through out the process but it just doesn’t hit the way Daniels does, not even close. More bang for your buck with las villas but I will be sending it back to Daniels to get re-done. Grass isn’t always greener on the other side. I would gladly pay the premium for better craftsmanship and quality with Daniels.

10.5-10.7 mm is not a "nice little gap " it's absolutely unnoticeable by anyone's eyes including a well informed buyer/seller. That slight difference will make practically zero effect on how it wears or looks..just saying.

Honestly my handmade box lock looks better but the tension thing I always have to adjust it almost every time I wear it , I don’t wear it everyday niether . It’s nicer than casted for sure but don’t get it twisted . The durability on it is marginal unless the casted is complete shit LOL . I still prefer handmade but more so just to say it’s handmade. Not saying where I got the bracelet from either

Great video and review. I must say I'm confused by las villas..I seen a 8mm chain with a big gap near lock so I'm like that's casted. Then I seen some that look flawless on TH-cam. As a consumer..I like Daniels from their box locks to the links they are on point..then after I like cmg their links look like traditional Cuban links but...casted locks..as well as Rey's..casted locks..limaxi their links look ok to me nothing I would buy..where are all the Cuban makers with handmade locks besides Daniels? Leon jewelry? Amury? Grimal? ...I just found a small place..Garcia jewelry in Miami..their links look pretty decent.. trying to find out if their locks are handmade..Cuban you need to do a casted / handmade lock review.
I have a 7mm chain and 9mm bracelet from Garcias. Both locks are hand made. Quality is beautiful.

Las Villas - chain and bracelet are NOT the best quality and they also cast their box lock and that’s the reason they have so much issues overtime etc. They swear they don’t but ok… However, I do like the old traditional Cuban link instead of the modern flat look that some other store are making. I went to their store last week looking for a 80g chain 24” and two of them were kinking A LOT.
