Best Lithuanian entry of the decade,
I adored When We're Old at first listen and the live performances in Lisbon were performed and staged perfectly. I love Ieva and she was my third place finisher in the final ranks too, in addition to gaining a new fan of her music. When she qualified from the semi of doom, I let out a huge cheer of joy. It's a bit of a downer she didn't get to the top ten, but 12th and a left side of the board finish is very respectable.
I did not like the song before the sf1, and then at the end of her performance I broke in tears and fell in love with" When we're old"
This song grew on me like never 😅❤❤
The camera shots and the lighting were amazing and genius
Until I saw it on the ESC stage, this song was not on my radar. I was blown away by the staging and the touching performance. Brilliant.

No-one really cared initially about this song which was nice but veeeeeery slow. No-one gave it a chance. Then the pre season started with the Eurovision parties in Riga, Amsterdam, London etc. Ieva attended them and she managed to be the scene stealer, everyone kind if were discovering her. That proves how strong and great she is.
Then she survived in the toughest semi final ever, thanks to her charisma, grace, simplicity, authenticity and talent. And a worderful and tender staging. This is a home run for me.
