Hello there, azorean here. Just to clarify, aside from Faial and Pico which have a ferry boat between them, there are no frequent 2 way trips between islands by azoreans just to study or whatever. For us, residents, its cheaper but still its 60€ for the 2 way trip. For example, when people come to Terceira from smaller islands for our university, they rent a place here and stay the whole year, its not like they come by plane in the morning and go back in the evening, its not possible, its an airline company and all of them have delays. Just not feasible
good question :) I think it's ok, you will have enough time to chill and calmly explore this island with out rushing anywhere :) When you planing to go there?
Hey! INATEL Flores Hotel - but we didn't like it - the staff was rude. They even mixed up room keys. We were in our room, chilling naked in bed, and apparently, someone else opened the entrance door and entered our room. We were shocked to find another couple entering (them also). We went to the reception, and the reaction was - oops, sorry. So if you gonna find other option on booking - do it :)

3 days - 1 day arrival plus bus trip, then next all day hiking around the island, and then we had flight back to Sao Miguel island :)
