I love building Hexplate on Yi because it work well with his ult to be even faster
I would have guessed hexplate was a core item of yi. Same with nocturne. It just seems tailored-made for them.
But I'm not a jungle player so who knows xd

Even if no one cares, I once fought a master yi that built hearsteel and iceborn gauntlet on emerald elo(yes I know, low elo you don't have to remind me). Shit was still unfair as fuck, despite being very tanky he still does a shit ton of damage
Turns out giving a champ true dmg aa allowed then to deal a ton of damage

I was actually shocked when i heard people saying same thing and once i was playing aram and blamed the yi for going heartsteel cuz who the f*ck builds that turns out its absolutely broken

Just a note: Sinerias is not doing this build every single game. Like any good OTP he has multiple builds for diff comps/situations

Latest builds according to sinerias is:
1. Bork, tier 1 boots, LDR, infinity edge, then whatever.
2. Bork, hex, warmog
3. Bork, guinsoo, kraken

As a Yi main, the issue with power farming is laners always lose solo 1v1 and 2v2 unless you camp them.
The build is alright, but I would never buy warmogs as a standard item for a million years. It's good vs comps with burst and low cc because the hp scales well with w's damage reduction, but if you're getting crowd controlled it's better to buy defensive stats or even a quicksilver sash.

i just wish they will leave warmogs alone its finally doing something after years of not existing and im just hoping they don't nuke it, maybe cost a little more or change build path but its so nice rn and its not like every champ wants to build it no matter who they are like when double support item was a thing.

Warmog was My first item always in any champ in season 5 as a kid I see1000 Hp and i was like waoh with this i am inmortal
Idk why most Yi players don't build Hexplate just for the Ult CD because of how reliant he is with his ultimate
The downtime on his ult is already low enough that you have it for effectively any teamfight. The buffs from hexplate are pretty mediocre. Sinerias mostly takes it for the health and stats and because something like stridebreaker is a lot less useful on Yi. For raw 1v1ing or skirmishes building full on hit is typically better.

I always built yi with heartsteel + titanic + warmogs.
And probably botrk the only dmg item i will have.
Dunno a tank yi is more annoying esp if all eyes are on you :D
If I would have a chance to choose which yi from all seasons.
I would gladly get the old ap yi that's the most broken, q scales AP, w scales AP, only E has AD true dmg.

sinerias doesnt actually build this though he tried it out yes but in scrims like a couple days ago he played master yi and went full onhit with titanic hydra
There is alot of way to build yi actually but the build pattern if you want yi do great peformace is bruiser build but 1 thing im not agree is i dont like build HP yi caused hp only extend ur health bar it doesnt reduce the damage u take, i have build so many tank item but HP build still make u die easier than u build specific defends item like armor or MR so i usually build
counter physic : death dance, armor shoes, thornmail(too much heal), hourglass(being target), raduins omen( heavy crit).
counter magic: wits'end, malmortius,force of nature, mercury shoe(too much cc).
counter both ad and ap: wits end, deathdance, jaksho.
ofc i always build 1st core item is blade of the ruin king before build anything else.
armor and mr this season is like very easy to counter because of some item changes like brk have reduced hp max health damage and lord dominiks having more armor pen and no longer have that 15% more damage on having more hp than you, so hp is kinda better rn on tank builds because if you think the items this season, the only counter item on hp this season is liandrys, but even so, liandrys effect is only on over time, which is pretty useless in very fast fight

Warmog doesn’t make sense to me unless he somehow abuses it. Might as well go heartsteel
Its for staying on the map and in fights. He can go in with damage escape with his R speed and then heal back to full for another dive.

My teammate saw this video and ran the build in my game. He went 0/11/9. I would have preferred pure damage. If your not good at yi, don't use this build.
Ah yes, a champ who chase you, dodge all skills, tanks damage, do true damage, dive towers and solo ace your team now can do all of those things but better :)) that's my main, but I have problems countering him :v

@@ytestylinter8544 no he cannot 1v1 tanks, especially early. He has very little true damage and once HoB is gone so is his damage. The video is also wrong as this build by Sinerias uses Conqueror, not PTA, attempting to allow Yi to fight tanks and bruisers better.
