Hes still a favourite fighter and personality of the sport, its just no one is actually interested in watching him fight. From experience; headgear makes punches hurt more. It amplifies rotational force. I sparred with headgear once and never again. All it protects you from are cuts.

How would you have benefited by seeing Roy Jones Jr getting injured? As it was, we saw exactly how much Moxie each of the men had in them. I saw no reason for anything more brutal. Tyson won. We all know that. RJJ kept his dignity.

This fight works because both Jake and Mike are brilliant at marketing... They know how to gin up interest and just what to say... If either man scores a 2nd round KO everybody will say "I KNEW IT... YOU KNEW IT... EVERYBODY KNEW THIS WOULD HAPPEN" If it's a slow, boring, distance bust everybody will say "I KNEW IT... YOU KNEW IT... EVERYBODY KNEW THIS FIGHT WOULD BOMB... It's one of those kinds of fights. Good or bad -- NOBODY really knows what will happen.

It's a foregone conclusion. Tyson has the experience, the killer instinct, the power, and is 20 POUNDS heavier than Paul. Yeah he's 57, and doesn't have the stamina he used to but all the power is there and it's not like he was known to have fights that went the distance, he was known to knock guys out in the first 3 round. Jake Paul should be worried about surviving without serious injury.

Instead of reputations going down in history like they should, they're digging it up again for one last god almighty milking before discarding it again.
This may seem like a good thing but it's devaluing what's normal (now every single fighter chases money only) and it's devaluing any legacy the person involved should have let lie.
