In this video, we are putting up the DSLR vs phone camera. We will use the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra to plan and photograph astrophotography.
I am recreating some of my first astrophotography images with modern phone cameras.

Hi shayne, you couldve tried the official Expert Raw camera app for the s22 ultra which has better low light performance and can shoot 16bit Raw. Can you make a video on that too?

My buddy got a S22 ultra and the photo processing for details is a lot better than the S21U. However, I'm very disappointed that the S22 doesn't do anything new or special. The S22 seems like a 2.0 version of the S21, medium level upgrade.

I couldnt agree more mate. Its a bit like the iPhone 12-13 upgrade. Its better, but really nothing groundbreaking.

Hey Shayne, could you do a video where you stack photos from the S22 like the Pixel does? I'm curious to see what the S22 looks like with stacking.

Original photo is way better, imo. Mostly composition. But S22 still looks ok. in the s22 photo the mw is better, but the tractor just looks like foreground clutter. I'd set the tripod lower, angle the tractor, and use more diffuse light. Still beautiful, but not nearly as compelling as the original. Of course, that's just my preference.

Cool video, but would be much more beneficial for us if you had the phone screen bigger so we can properly see what you are doing, as we can mainly just see your face.

Can anyone please tell me will Samsung ever create or do an investment for cameras and no I don't mean phone cameras or smartphone cameras I mean literally like the SLR cameras like Sony Nikon and Canon. I think it might happen because Samsung's TVs are fantastic and there are quality of a movie theater screen that's how good Samsung TVs are. So you might have think that it will happen but I don't really know if it is or not and if anyone knows then please tell me I would really really appreciate it. I have another question if anybody knows is there a difference between a smartphone camera and an actual camera tripod because I am wondering if I can use like a type of tripod for smartphone and because I'm trying to buy a dslr again if anyone knows that please tell me I would really really appreciate it.
