Every time another story comes up about dirt bikes and ATVs, I always wonder why this response wasn't being considered. All of the more diplomatic options have been blatantly ignored. Maybe this will help get the point across.
So what about them riding wheelies for 1/4 miles at a time, running red lights, not having lights or any warning lights to allow other drivers to see them, speeding while swerving at and into oncoming traffic.... I guess that's all safe right? This is the prime example of playing stupid games and winning stupid prizes. If you took your car out with no tags, insurance or license and didn't stop for the police they would do the same thing. Don't expect special privileges just because you're on a dirt bike. Better yet, he would have NEVER been hit bad he not been on the road illegally! It's really quite simple.
@@medix1203 I never condone that kind of behavior! Some jail time is in order here. But, breaking the law to stop someone from breaking the law doesn't fly for me either. A PIT maneuver in a CAR is VERY different than crashing a motorcycle. People like these are idiots and I have little sympathy for them. But 2 wrong don't make a right.
@@strider8933 let's live in the real world now, he was definitely going to pull over and admit wrong, correct? 9/10 they don't stop because then their bikes are getting impounded and they are usually stolen so there's another charge for that. Police are given seconds to react to the situation and everyone else is afforded lifetime to pick it apart.
Wow... It's a totally different culture where I live. People of all ages ride quads and dirtbikes down all the streets at any time of the day, and if you drive past bars at night, the lots are full of dirtbikes as the cops generally won't cite you for drunk driving on a bike (the attitude is that you are a risk to yourself and not too many others, so have at it). If a cop ran over a dirbiker here, the entire community would ostracize them.
This dirt bike riding on city streets is way out of control and really needs to stop,,I myself almost hit a few of them being they run through red lights,,kinda stupid if you ask me,,it would be different if these clowns followed the rules of the road but they dont,,they drive wreck less trying to show off but in reality they look like idiots and cause havoc, traffic laws are traffic laws and they should be enforced. They think their stars like we want to see them doing a wheelie but when they crash showing off is more entertaining.
hate these cops dude, here where I live it's a different breed, I've only ridden here a couple times and ya'll mfs don't play. Be careful who you hit next officers there's a lot of other people who carry guns and would open fire no matter who hit them in the bike life. 2nd of all, they can win this case, I've talked to plenty of lawyers myself after an accident I had with an unregistered bike and I didn't press charges only cuz you need a good lawyer and I'm not spending more money then my entire case on a lawyer to win.
They probably have no license and that is a off-road vehicle to begin with. The police should have ran them over and kept on going. As far as the asinine statement @02:10 ; "what if" the young rider was following the laws , than none of this would have happen in the 1st place
This is a long term problem in that community they have fought the problem through several means including not allowing the sale of gas into anything but a legal registered vehicle. Confiscating and destroying the bikes and ATVs. The are pulling the race card claiming discrimination
This isn't just a problem in Albany, it's happening in every city. These pests think they are untouchable, and intentionally break the laws. It think the police handled it the right way,
Not only dirt bikes shouldn’t be allowed but, cyclists as well pose a traffic hazard and should be outlawed. Not to mention they have no insurance and if they drive recklessly next to cars and get hit somehow, it’s a Driver’s fault not the other way around. I called that lunacy.
brake check a SUV with a dirt big... real high IQ behavior.
Thats what happens when you brake check on a dirtbike. Give the cop a raise.
Why do cops even bother

Advocate for hurting people. Smart
It's what the British cops do.
Traffic violations are NOT justification for crashing and potentially KILLING someone (deadly force)!!!!!!

@@medix1203 Can't argue with nearly all you said. Still not justified both by policy and law. Police KNOW or should know what they can and cannot do
I respect the police and residents but they could’ve put down spikes. They escalated

Thats exactly 💯 why i dont care for cops
No reason at all for the cop to hit the motorcycle.
I hope the police car wasn't damaged

The authorities were in the right - That dirt-biker needs to have his license revoked.

why are people so stupid to ride DIRT BIKES in the city. the dirt in them are some of the people that live there.
Well they made them illegal in the woods where I'm at so where else you going to ride them
Dirt bike should not be on the street. 5 years in prison mandatory.
You think that's bad watch uk police taking down moped theives it's great
Sound dumb saying driving on the sidewalk 😂😂 what he wanted him to get hit to by the cop
