I am actually doing a research on the plant you refer to as chamber bitter. Here in Jamaica, we call it chanca piedra or seed under leaf. The name seed under leaf was given to it due to the actual seeds or fruits on the underside of the leaves. It's good for kidney stones, gallbladder stones, UTI, liver problems and a host of other ailments. The botanical name is phyllanthus amarus.
Very interesting thank u. I got two small ones growing as I am trying to get some to grow here in South Africa. No where is there actually information on how to grow them and what conditions they prefer
I did not know it was the same thing as chanca piedra. I just ordered some and had no idea i could just go out in my yard! lol I am hoping it will help me with dissolving calcium deposits in my joints and soft tissue.
@@tonyawhitten5199they re not the same. Chanca piedra is very very tiny flower with very very small seeds around and does closed just by touching it while chamber bitter looks more familiar to Chanca but the effect are abit similar to Chanca piedra but it’s not Chanca piedra.
I only found out about this today that it's an ancient medicine that some of the local Malaysian drinks this for liver problem too. They blend the entire plant including the root and green apple to drink
In the caribbean it's called "Seed under leaf" good for at of things. digestion, Kidney, mild laxative, stones from kidneys bladder, prostate in men , inflammation of the liver
Awesome information, I have this Weed in my Garden also, But when I was young my aunt's made salves with it along with other wild plants, thanks for that information 💜👍🏾
Wow! I have a bit of this in my front yard. I don't mind it. So knowing it's a beneficial perennial herb, i feel better letting it come back every year. Now i can focus on the more undesirable things in the yard. New sub!💚
Love you video! Chamber Bitter has almost taken over my garden as well. It seems as if it came out of nowhere. I don't even know how I got it. Please let me know when you do a video again!
I have known this plant all my life and we would pull them up and throw them away. They grow and grow all over but don't do any harm. I never knew that they could be used until a couple of years ago
I actually love these little guys, yeah they are invasive, but if you are a lazy gardener they make excellent soil preppers, they are easy to pull out but take a nice chuck of dirt out with them. Drop a couple of desired seeds in there shake the dirt from the roots back into the hole done and done.
thank you for the video I looked this up this morning because I found it in my little garden area. lots of conflicting info regarding its toxicity for humans and pets. says not to ingest so I am wondering how someone can drink a tea from it. ty
From my experience when a plant starts growing so much, it's because you will soon need it.
That’s what I know as well

It's medicial plant- dry it, grind it up & keep for later when needed if you have to much. Keep in mason jar.

It’s invasive, very hard to control because of those dang seeds. I pull ten up and then a hundred show up lol 😂

Keezhanelli or bhumi amla, its a famous traditional herb in India.
How can I get some of the Chamber Bitter seeds
I think I've seen this growing in pots that I pass by. I don't know how to take and propagate them tho.
Gale of wind is what this is called in The Bahamas.
Thanks for watching!

Do you still have them around your house, I would love some of those seeds.
I occasionally see them. Email me, and I'll let you know when I see another. Tfw
I just made mimosa flower tea yesterday
Cool video!
I have to rip the same plant out 2-3 times a week. I can’t get rid of it no matter what. I don’t want lol.
I feel you. They have seeds while they're so tiny. It's challenging to conquer. Thanks for watching!
