Iam 5'8", 84 Kg weight, my both feet do not touch ground completely on RE classic . This bike is made for 6 ft guys. No doubt RE has excellent riding experience but only on less traffic roads. Handling classic on slow traffic n u turn is still a challange and a big safety concern. The weight is distributed in such a way that a slight inclination towards one side will make it difficult to handle on slow speed. I will not recommend RE classic bike for lower height guys. I found honda cb350 having much better control mass distribustion than RE classic, seat height for both bikes is same but still cb350 has better handling.

Lower height guys can go for RE meteor. If u change the seat to low ride seat from market, the stylish look of classic will be messed up.

YES, you can definitely learn and ride bike. Whoever suggested you for splendor etc is right, initially start with light weight bikes and once you are confident, you can switch to your favorite bike with little bit modifications if you feel the need. Ride safely Take care
