While all conversion stories are absolutely beautiful every once in awhile I’ll hear someone’s story that just really sticks with me and really makes me feel the spirit and this is one of them. I’m so beyond happy that you found this church and the love of Jesus Christ. I was baptized a little over a year ago and have already seen so many blessings come into my life. Wishing you the best ❤️
So awesome! Have you already shared your conversion story with us? We would love to hear it if you want to direct message us on either Facebook or Instagram :)
I was born into a Catholic/LDS family. I ended up being baptised 2015 after being a pagan/witch for most of my life. 8 years later after being inactive for a few years, I'm only just getting rid of the rest of my occult items and returning to church.
My best friend is a practicing witch. This is so freaking awesome. I actually have recently been pondering on the likelihood of any Wiccan ever converting to Christianity. (And then to add in the LDS church? I honestly just resigned myself to the idea that we'd always agree to disagree.) This just took a little weight off my chest that I didn't even realize was there. She's such an amazing person, and so full of love, and light! And she's also bold, and vivacious, and ethical! This gives me hope that one day, we'll be able to count her amongst Heavenly Father's strongest spirit warriors! I'm so glad I saw this. My heart is just so full right now!
Sherry… I can tell you the Heavenly Fathers love is so amazing. He can work in your friend life but your friend will have to be open to it. One thing I said in this interview I mean with all my heart and wish more religions would do it…and that is coming to know Christ is not just words we speak but our way of life. Being a Christian is hard because we must walk the walk and talk the talk. I can say I am a multimillionaire but that would be just words. If I really want to be one I have to work at it.
Hey GL Grew up Evangelical, attended a Southern Baptist Church for awhile much Love. In my 2 years to the week of being taught about what Latterday Saints actually believe. 2 years ago yesterday was invited to a Sacrament in Utah turned it down it was a Sunday. August 18 2019 Yesterday got to go to Temple for a proxy Endowment and Sealings. Alot has happened in my Life. "Cool Runnings" my friend.
This is so cool! I had a friend on my mission get baptized who also use to practice Witchcraft! It’s so cool the spirit that comes when you think about this transformation both my friend and Joseph have gone through. The Atonement is real!
Grateful this guy converted and that he’s happy and has found Jesus Christ in his life. Didn’t like the occult symbols in the video. Witchcraft is no joke.
True, Witchcraft and all things dealing with magic like satanism and priestcraft (to name a few) are of the devil. The true power of God (priesthood) is the only holy power on this earth. I know the power that Satan has on this earth, I have felt his power dragging me away from Christ.
@@prettymermaid2117 Yes! I loved the first session! I was pondering about getting my patriarchal blessing and I'm going to make an appointment asap! Can't wait for the other 8 hours! The part where I said I felt his power over me was a couple years ago, and yes, I am still fighting! Just finished the Book of Mormon so I'll have a testimony of that!
You can politely show them this 👇🏽 “Now therefore fear the Lord, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the Lord. And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:14-15
I am a member but best friend is wiccan. I participated in few rituals of hers out of curiosity. It is rather harmless. Its just a bunch of grown up kids wanting to be Harry Potter.
@@mormonreject7564 Trust me, those things are of the devil, he has more power over this earth than you can possibly imagine. Do you remember the secret combinations that were talked about by Alma? Those were of the devils' doing and is not harmless, the spirit of God will not be with anyone in the presence of evil. I personally did not participate or see any ritual and it will stay that way for I know those works are of the devil.
His story is not all that unbelievable. Mormonism is not that far removed from Paganism, depending on how one approaches these belief systems. I cant really speak for "Wicca" as it is a recently invented practice but with ancient Paganism for example what the Celts and Germanic Tribes practiced in Europe in the ages during and after the Roman Empire, the God Odin or Wodan was worshipped as the ultimate expression of a person, one who has all knowledge, all power and is exalted to the highest level. In a sense this understanding that the ancient Pagans had of this deity was of an eternal heavenly father. We were seen as his children and through the eternal cycle of things we strove to ascend and become like him. It is an over arching theme of these ancient religions of antiquity and also in the messages that Joseph Smith discovered from the exalted personages who sent him to discover the Golden Plates. A lot of these so called "Witchcraft" based modern religions or spiritual practices are quite shallow and based on the trends of the day or just people deliberately wanting to be controversial or to solicit attention, i can't really speak for this gentleman because i dont know him, but tearing up the book of Mormon and throwing the pieces at the missionaries is not something any worthy spiritual tradition would teach, so it sounds like he made the right move in abandoning whatever he was doing in the past.
I agree. Though everyone experiences their personal religion differently. To some wicca might seem like a bigger jump because of its non Judeo Christian pantheon. While to a non spiritualist atheist, a religion like the LDS faith where spirit is not immaterial and God lives within the universe and adheres to it's laws, may seem like less of a jump. Edit: Either way conversion to Christ is the jump that matters.
Conversion to Jesus Christ is a huge deal, no matter what background you come from. Also, maybe an atheist lives similar to our moral and health codes and the jump is that spiritual things are real. Whereas a Wiccan could be familiar w/ the fact that spiritual things are real, but they have a very different moral and health code than the church. It all really depends. Conversion is shocking to some and natural to others. But I would not compare the Gospel as being more similar to Wiccan beliefs than Atheism simply under the definition of “spiritual”.

I too converted from witchcraft and paganism to the LDS church.

A met a few Wiccans knocking doors as a missionary in Massachusetts. They were all really nice folks. Never taught any of them, but cool nonetheless
I'm so glad he stopped witchcraft for the LDS church. I think you made the right choice. GOOD JOB 👍

That story about ripping the book of mormon made me lauph and want to cry at the same time XD XD
I was told by missionaries to never tell that story… but it’s a big part of my conversion.

Instead of converting, I had actually found a way to be both a Mormon and Wiccan.
Absolutely not. Real witchcraft is about accessing Satan’s power. I’ve intense personal experience with this. Trust me the two are not compatible.
