I like his comment about needing to play less video games. I find playing games too much and spending too much time on social media draws me away from the spirit of the Lord, and I need to find the right balance between personal recreation and things that are more important.
Thank you for sharing you touching story, Charles. And I love that you put away video games and other distractions. I have been making these changes to spend more time in the scriptures and learning more and it does make a big difference. I'm so proud of you for making that move on your own. You are a great person.

You couldn't read, and God gave you an answer in a way you could receive. It's awesome to hear how reciently you put away distraction in your life and now you have a vision of how to help and support the refugees! Keep going! ❤ You are such a force for good in the kingdom of God.

In Joseph Smith’s Doctrine and Covenants 84:3, Smith states that New Jerusalem, “shall be built, beginning at the temple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others with whom the Lord was well pleased.” Smith was clearly under the impression that New Jerusalem would be in the state of Missouri and that there would be a new temple built here. He then goes on to say of this new temple in Doctrine and Covenants 84:5, “For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it, which cloud shall be even the glory of the Lord, which shall fill the house.” Just over a year after the time that Smith made this prophecy, the Mormons were forced to leave this area, before being forced to leave the state of Missouri altogether soon after. Mormon elder Orsan Pratt preached on May 5, 1870, “The Latter-day Saints just as much expect to receive a fulfilment of that promise during the generation that was in existence in 1832 as they expect that the sun will rise and set tomorrow. Why? Because God cannot lie. He will fulfil all his promises.” Joseph Smith’s prophecy that the temple would be built in Missouri during the time of the first generation of Mormons did not come true, and this prophecy still has not come true to this day today. In fact, the Mormon Temple Lot can be visited today, which is void of any of the signs prophesied by Smith. Deuteronomy 18:21-22 states, “And if thou say in thine heart, ‘How shall we know the word which the Lord hath not spoken?’ When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” If a prophet fails this simple test, it is for our protection that we might know to not trust him or her. According to Deuteronomy 18, if even one claim of a man who calls himself a prophet does not come true, he can not by definition be a true Biblical prophet. In fact, this was such a serious matter in the time of Moses that the people were ordered to put false prophets to death, so this is a matter that should be taken incredibly seriously. Because Smith's prophecy did not come true we can conclude that Biblically he is a false prophet, therefore the Book of Mormon, the Joseph Smith translation of the Bible, Smith's Doctrine and Covenants etc should not be trusted, and followers of Christ who take God breathed scripture as His divinely inspired word have no need to be afraid of Smith, or to even consider his blasphemous claims.

Wichita is not small
Wichita Falls, Texas. About 100,000 people. Compared to 1.2 million in Salt Lake Metro, calling Wichita Falls a small town is reasonable.
