  • You often have multiple "test" levels used during development. Sometimes they are still hidden in the game files somewhere and are accessible with cheats, you may have already seen some on video. As the name implies, they are used to test anything that is developed for the game in a clean environment. First you test the expected use case, then you simulate edge cases on purpose to make sure it works all the time.
The level that is made specifically to test the player's character movements is often called a "gym" level, as if you where going to train at the gym! It contains blocks in different sizes and angles, concave and convex shapes, and game elements specific to the game. For example, a game that features moving platforms will have an area with many of them to test what happens if you get squeezed between platforms.

Really like these videos David 👍 just my two cents to take or leave. I think the Animal Crossing-esque voice works well for Instagram where things are bite-sized and often on mute but it’d be nice to have a human VO for longer things on TH-cam where people are happy to watch something longer and normally expect a public face to a channel. I know it can be scary but you can always manipulate your voice (a la Extra Credits).

Agreed, The content is top notch and I think even if you added in a AI voice or something it would elevate the videos to the next level. I was shocked looking at the views / subscribers count to see it was so low
