There is also an event list that tells you what is going on so that you don't always have to hover over the little icon when the sound goes of.

Hey Raptor, to up the production of your loggers/stone gatherers/etc, you should make little 'outposts' with a stockpile and some homes. the hunters etc will automatically live there and will spend less time walking. Like the new series, keep it up!
Hi raptor, I'm loving this new series. Just a tip don't over build homes, only build enough that cover the amount of adults in the city e.g. 20 adult 10 homes needed, if you over build you will end up with single adult homes and than they won't produce the kidlets

Your herbalist won't be able to bring in too much for you. They're only able to gather from 'old' forests. The herbs don't grow in areas that the foresters are planting and cutting. You should have a section that's just gatherer, hunter and herbalist all together.
They do work in active forests actually. They're not as efficient as they only count mature trees, but there are always some mature trees even in active forests

MIke, my opinion for what its worth: valleys = easy, mountains = hard. "Hard start" = basic, "easy start" = advanced (fast track) - 6 families compared to basic 4 means 50% more mouths to feed from the off, not good if you are unlucky with where the map seed puts your people.
If you build a town hall you should attract nomads who want to join your town, but you will want to build a clinic because they bring sickness sometimes. :)

Fishing huts production is based off of the total area of water that their circle of influence covers. The best spots for them are where rivers bend or on bits of land that just out into lakes. Bridges built too close to the fishing hut will reduce their production.

Hey, just a fun little tip, when you're building a road you can dream the road from starting point to stopping point and then hold down SHIFT (default setting) and it will make the route the shortest and most direct possible Edited: Spelling
I built a city with the same random seed as this one It's a good one compared with others I've had! I have a very productive city going. Just can't get enough iron or stone for some reason. Thanks for these vids!
i fired up banished yesterday after not having played it for a good year or more. the megamod is hardcore, half my village burned down in year 1.... XD found out later i had built the charcoal burner thing to close to my buildings....
One of the actors from the Little Rascals does have a TH-cam and Twitch channel. Ironically it is one of the guys that dressed up as the adult and tried to go to the bank in that film.
You make this game looks so easy I’ve been trying to play those things and I download it a couple weeks ago and every time I get ahead of it they all die but I love watching your videos because now I know what not to do I’m think I’m rushing too much and building too fast so it’s nice and watching take it slow

It's rather sad that there's a lack of variety when it comes to food, as far as fields and orchards are concerned. I was expecting there to be apples, peaches, cherries, oranges, pears, wheat, corn, barley, etc. 😢🥺

Me too, but is there any bad effect from it (like less productivity) because Raptor didn't want to put them together
It has been confirmed that roots and herbs are the same resource so you generally shouldn't have an herbalist and gatherer in the same area.
I do the same, and I also make sure to remove the stone and iron to have more place for trees.

If you want your fishing dock in fully potential you should built a port about 1x5 or more then build fishing dock at the end

Raptor, try getting animals and selling the coats made from hides to buy food so you can save space on fields
No - sell them to buy stone and iron so you never need quarries or mines

just so you know, laborers will build structurs if there is nothing for them to gather, and same for the opposite
Don't forget that you can terraform
Also your foresters wont plant trees on any hill or mountain, they will fill the area they control with a dense forest
