  • can YOU handle 10mm? In this video we shot the FN 510 chambered in 10mm and the sig m18 chambered in 9mm.
    Is 10mm the new 9mm? 10mm has increased in popularity over recent years. 10mm did have some use in the FBI in the 1980's, but it was short lived. 9mm is the "standard" law enforcement round. After the early failure of 10mm, they made "10mm lite" with less powder and a little shorter- this is the modern day .40 S&W round.

    10mm is one of those cartridges you don’t appreciate until you shoot it. Normally when you find a gun that handles the 10mm cartridge well you get bit by the bug and start buying more 10 mils. It’s hard to go back to 9mm once you’ve got comfortable with 10mm for self defense. I like all the major auto loading cartridges, but 10mm is by far my favorite

    I remember during covid 10mm was the ONLY ammo I could find stocked on shelves

    I purchased a new P320xf carry in Dec. 2019, my first gun I had it 3 years, never a issue or malfunction. I loved it but I wanted a all metal pistol so I traded it for a Beretta 92x RDO Compact, the Sig was supposedly sighted for a 2" group at 30', per sig customer service. I seemed to shoot the Beretta more accurately and of course it seems to be a better shooting gun (handled recoil better) than the Sig.. But there was something about the P320xf that I really like so I bought the X-Ten in Oct of 2022, it seems more accurate than the 9mm p320xf and it actually handles the recoil very well (it's my first 10mm) I'm hoping they come out with a 4" barrel model soon!
    Thanks for the video, good shooting!

    10mm is the King of handgun cartridges! It does EVERYTHING right! And not a bad a price either!

    Had my glock 20 for awhile now, warmed up to it real quick. I shoot it as well as my 9 mils now, and as fast. I reload and the numbers tell the story. I load 180 grain hornady xtp over 9 grains of longshot. That load is making around 1280-1290 from my gen 3 glock 20 with stock barrel. Thats making well over 650 ft/lbs at the muzzle. It loses about 150 ft/lbs at 100 yards, so at its delivering 500 ft/lb at 100 yards and thats pretty decent. I get substantially better results with my drop in kkm 6 inch barrel. 10 mm is a badass round. Its equal to .357 from bottom to top-i reload for both. If you want a serious round thats a serious threat past 100 yards, itll do it. Why just carry any old common caliber when you can be dangerous way past 100 yards?

    I bought my Glock 29 in 1998. Nobody stocked ammo for it. I guess that makes me smarter than the average TH-camr.
    Here’s a quick tip: 165gr. Bonded hollow points. Winchester Ranger LEO spec or Double Tap.

    .357 sig for the win since most ammo companies are making 10mm loaded to .40 standard

    I believe 10mm is in a semi comeback. There are new firearms in 10mm, such as the FN 510. Ammo availability depends on the region you live.

      I have grown very fond of the 510. I have several other 10s and 45s and this is by far my favorite for the price.

    First of all, the idea that one should shoot bullets out of a handgun as fast as bullets out of a machine is the #1 Fallacy of the tiny 9mm bullet. One can actually fire the .22lr bullet out of the Kel-Tec PMR with a 30 round mag quicker and more accurately than any 9mm gun. Hence power and bullet size do matter more. It is an insane idea that the 10mm is too hard for an adult male to learn to handle well. It merely takes physical strength improvement and proper training. All the wonderful improvements done to the 9mm bullet have also made the 40S&W, the .45acp and the 10mm more deadly also. I personally carry at all times everywhere the .357 125 grain Magnum Corbon bullet in the Ruger GP100 for when one really needs a one shot stop it is best to go with powerful bullets and not waste time while standing still shooting lotsa bullets that are less powerful hoping that they are-' just as good as- the more powerful ones. I believe your clay test proved how much more powerful the 10mm is.

    Handgun recoil can be overcome by any adult who is willing to put in the time exercising the fingers the wrist the forms in the shoulders with the various devices used to develop those muscles with proper training I would think everyone would want to use a more powerful round than the 9mmm and do whatever it takes to be able to master the 10 mm

    @emmw7794 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Well, your grip isn't that great for shooting a 10mm but it takes a lot of practice. Thanks for the comparison. Your groupings with 10mm are way better than mine though. lol.

    Ok, I'll bite. This is either a video about how ridiculous this argument is, being that it all depends on personal preference and how well you can handle either round, or it's literally you "dying on this hill." Either way, I'm gonna "like" it because you've got a great channel here and I'd love to see it get more recognition and the credit it deserves.

      G29 gen4 on gunbroker got mine on sale for $550 2 years ago. Can't beat the price of a p80 g19 but for a factory glock that's a great price imo.
