Thanks for the tip, I was contemplating to go to 70’s but after this video I’ll stick to standard. Will replace my cooper AT3 into BFG KO2’s hope I will not get a sidewall puncture like I did in my set of coopers. Keep the videos coming
Cooper AT3 on my land cruiser. 60k in the outback. Not one puncture. Of course I pick my track and read the road and drive to the conditions. Use them again? Yes.
Also consider the extra rotating mass of off-roaders me 31KO's are hung lower in the garage than the 120's 265 70's for a good reason! (Norway with winter and 'summer' tires)
Lol. I got 34’s on a 2” lift in mine, goes literally everywhere the 6” lift patrols on 35’s do. And it’s not about ‘clearance’ mine are 34x12.5’s so I have about an extra 2” of width per tyre so effectively an extra 20% contact patch on the surface I’m driving Also a big part of it is filling the hole you are driving, fully flexed out in a hole the size of a 33 unlocked and spinning and then running something bigger again will drive through it
Thats the most realistic review i have ever heard.I would like to ask, I have a Pajero NS 3.2 with original tyre dimension 265 65 17 or 265 60 18. I put some 285 60 18 MT almost 3,3 pecent diameter +. Can this bring me some problems in the future,or it's not a big mod. I would apricient your opinion. Thank you very much
My stock 120 has and will go anywhere my friends/traveling companion's can go. Admit-tingly haven't needed a locker front or rear YET. Tyre quality and lockers over anything else.
Everything you say is true but I mostly go to Moreton Island and on beach sand, tyre sidewall height makes all the difference. Like he said, buy tyres for your situation. On the beach 70s are excellent.
HI mate Love your detailed advice mate I have a stock 2023 VX Prado and need to change rims and tyres Will stock 2022 Prado GXL 17" rims fit mate thanks
I have been watching your vlogs and I am learning a lot from it thus making less mistakes in adding mods or not on my 2021 gxl fortuner. So far, I have no problem with it even though I drive it to home from work in most days and work is about 10 minutes from home. DPF burns every 200 t0 300 km. I did apply on your 1gdcrew forever on FB but so far, still pending. Hopefully, ill be able to join and learn more about the new 1 gd-ftv engine on my toyota. Thanks.
What do you think about putting 31"s on a 2014 Hilux SR (currently got stock 29" wheels on) Will that effect gearing/labouring and stress on the vehicle too much?
I run 255/70/16 and I find it works great for all conditions. It works out just shy of 30" and the bonus is close to accurate speedo. Another bonus is a lot of people stock the 16's in the middle of nowhere.
Don't forget about airing down for off road, 33" turns into 31" quickly ...diff clearance 👍

Yep next thing you want is a remap or a tune or chip and then you blow it up 🤷♂️😁😂

@@Fourby4Diesel I've watched too many of your video to want a chip or tune ahah, just new tyres ahah
Driving technique is 100 % the best option ,rather invest in a 4wd course than all the accessories.
Great video
hahaha love your videos...how u bashed Audis :D
The truth hurts ! So finally it's all for the looks.
Yeah, it is. I run 33s and a 4 inch lift because it looks cool. That's it.
