Its the basic circuit for any hydraulic system which has a hydraulic ram, If you have seen a Backhoe loaded machine say CAT, JCB etc those machines employs hydraulic ram for doing a work, this is applicable in such cases - the only difference it that it will have more rams and more spools in the valve block.
Generally speaking the power pack is namely the electric motor, hydraulic pump and tank with its controls at least - providing the hydraulic 'power' to do work via externally connected apparatus. Most applications have external connected equipment like lifting cylinders etc. But if something is 'all in 1', where electric motor, hydr pump and eg; hydraulic winch for example were together, then that could be considered the power pack simply because it is all in the 1 package.
