Both mics sounded great. That being said, I would never let go of the SA 87T. If they ever go out of production it would be practically impossible to replace and I would hate to imagine how their price would skyrocket on the used market. You're a lucky man to have one!
Ima a fan of the sa87T for sure! It’s versatile and it has a vibe to it in my opinion. I don’t plan to get rid of it at any point. Thanks for checking out the video, commenting and stopping by the channel!
This is Hannah. Just wanted to say I'm proud of you and happy to see your channel becoming more and more successful. May God bless you and I'm praying and rooting for your success.
The 610 is one of my favorite pres! I know some people have mixed feelings towards it but I believe it adds a musical element to every source that’s run through it.
Definitely feel you on the intro. I still haven’t produced ANYTHING with all the tools that I have! Definitely time to just start! 51 episodes is amazing sir! But let me borrow that U87ai for like 3 yrs or something like that
😂😂😂 3yrs should be forever. Man it’s so immobilizing to just want to do something and you can’t. But like you said, the time to start is now. However I can help that start, say the word!
You are brave man, I could never put a $4k mic on my kitchen floor like that haha I keep my U87 on the stand 24/7! Something I am noticing the more I work with microphones is that the midrange is the most important part in the sound. We have so many tools to add high end sparkle and low end if we need to, but the midrange is something that needs to be captured right at the source. The U87 captures a more solid midrange imo so I prefer it over the Stam. I could carve some midrange out, add Slate Fresh Air, and make it sound just as exciting as the SA-87T does. That said, both mics sound great and you can get the job done with either one of them! Great video as always man!
😂😂😂 my Eden costs just as much as my u87 lol. I laid them down all gently on the floor 😂😂. I think Stam has a resistor swap that pushes a little more of the mids (don’t quote me) but he did send out an email concerning that adjustment. Nonetheless, I feel like I could’ve pushed more of the mids (a little above the boxy area) and that would’ve given more representation in that area but this is a mic I would pull out for sure for the same needs I’d use the u87ai. Tools nowadays are solid and I’m making sure I can fill my locker with the ability to get the job done regardless of what’s thrown at me. I think I’m extremely close to that overall goal. Thanks for the support bro!
@@wallace_nelson I’ve got a heavy duty straight stand from Ultimate, and then I have heavy duty/extra tall Lyx Pro Stand that I put a counterweight on and it handles my heavy mics just fine
Man this turned out fantastic. Looooved being a part of the process.
@@ChuckSmithkickinggoads bro!! I couldn’t even have gotten this done without you man! Thank you dude! You killed it

Thank you lady! Just trying to grind and keep working on the craft!
I like the way they both sound paired with the UA 610.

🔥 video looking forward to your comparison on the wA1b because I’m thinking about purchasing one
@@domonickwilliams33 appreciate the kind words!!!
I’m working on that video now!
The Stam seems to extend a little higher. I like the way the Neumann focuses the midrange.
@@nickafflitto7519 where sources are too dark, the SA-87T works very well.
Have you tried the Manley ref cardiod ?

What mic stand do you is for heavy mics like the eden
