Elephants are amazing and very social. They’re so smart too and such self aware creatures. I’ve had the luck of going to a sanctuary to feed them in Thailand. It makes me so sad to see this story but happy he can finally roam free.

I'm glad he is free now. But he was chained for a short while in 2002 due to dangerous behaviour. Kaavan had a female partner from 1990- 2012. Apart from the loneliness of other elephants, which is the case in most zoos. Kaavan has lived in luxury while being fed properly
Ohhh I remember him I was 8 when I last saw him he used to be with another elephant but she died and ever since hes.been lonely im gonna miss him and im glad hes gonna have a better home now
There are elephant carvings all over the wall of Angkor Wat.The Cambodian had a long history with elephants.I think Kaavan will really enjoy himself in Cambodia,the environment/the climate is perfectly suitable for one like him.......;))))
