“If you cant picture this version of Batman comforting a scared child, that’s not Batman, that’s the Punisher in a funny hat”
lol
Yeah, red of overly sarcastic productions hit the nail on the head.
The Punisher also comforted a scared child on at least one occasion.
@@_ArmIahe also held a knife to one and then comforted him. Frank castle is the only character ik who can threaten a child’s life and the scene still ends in a wholesome way😭😭
My favorite part is Batman's relaxed body language in Gordon's garden. Fidgeting with his gloves and squatting like a little boy instead of a gargoyle. I've never seen him so at ease.
He must really trust Gordon.
Of course. In some versions, Gordon was there to comfort Bruce after his parents were killed and while Alfred was on his way to pick him up.
Reminds me of a video essay of the Batman I watched,"Bruce appreciates Alfred but he couldn't tell him,he appreciates Gordon but he couldn't tell him,and he loves Selina but he couldn't say it because he doesn't allow himself to be vulnerable. When he put on the mask,he doesn't need to be human."
@@nadiahapsari3359 Bruce loves talia not selina
@@_MANDOWN_ I'm not sure about that, but it was a review of "The Batman" not Batman's entire comic story
@@_MANDOWN_bro, She raped him, I'm like 1000% sure that he hates her
In the animated series, he was almost ready to kill a guy in the sewers for keeping kids as slaves. He wants kids to a good childhood unlike the one he had
Which episode was this. I don't remember. Killer croc's debut? He's more of a savior for the homeless in the comics but he's just evil in TAS.
And arkham too. Both failed killer croc
@@leafyishereisdumbnameakath4259 It was the episode “The Underdwellers”. The episode where Batman found a runaway kid (who I may jokingly call Jason Todd) that leads him to a huge children slave thing with a weird guy as their king. And when the king almost got away, Batman said he was so tempted to let him get hit by a train.
@@zeldagameryt4018 I've heard the name but don't recall the episode. Thanks so much
I KNOW THAT ONE
A wise woman once said "If your Batman can't comfort a child, then you've only made the Punisher in a silly costume."
Who said that?
@@The_Blue_Otaku Overly Sarcastic Productions. It's from their video on anti-heroes.
@@zionleach3001 neat
I feel like that's also wrong, Frank Castle was a good father before he became the punisher and was great with kids while as the punisher
@@apocalypticash1242 I suppose it's how other writers portray them. One person may write him as him being merciful by using zip ties on criminals. Others show him as an edge-lord loose canon. But Frank does have better luck keeping crime down.
THIS is what Batman is, not some genius who can kill gods with elaborate traps and a soul protector of earth, he’s just a man who cares about life
This is why detective batman is always better then godslayer batman
I hope there is a Batman that is both
@@MatthewTeachout-xj4yy nah Batman should stay down to earth
@@Frenzy_Ice I know, I mean he would have basic skills in talking to children instead of his normal self and maybe do some god killing on the side
Scary when he wants to be and Scary when he needs to be just don't let criminals know that 'cause even though you may run from him there's always a Robin behind him!!!
what the hell did i just read help
And if you hurt Robin, Batman will put you in a body cast and you'll be eating through a straw for several months.
Coherent sentences much?
As a Gotham citizen once said: "Don't listen to that nonsense. Only people scared of him, people who got reason to be."
How good is Batman with kids?
"And with that power, we've made a world where no eight-year-old boy will ever lose his parents because of some punk with a gun"
Batman is great with kids. He regularly busts child trafficking rings. You need to be everything but scary when the bad guys are dealt with and u need to comfort the kids he saved.
Fun Fact: Batman keeps lollipops in utility belt. (his dad was a doctor so he knows it helps)
The best versions of Batman are usually like that.
@@colebrowningTell to all Robins
@@abdirahmanibrahimmahamu5409The robins love batman
@@Wnuzel we dont talk about jason
@@snwmatEven Jason loves Bruce. He just hates him a lot too. It's a very complicated relationship of father and son.
The impact these two have over the people of Gotham is sweet. 🎉
Batman publisher: "You know what human children look like, right?"
Artist: "yeah man don't worry"
That was the cutest batman thing ive ever seen
Cuter than Bruce taking a night off for Jason being sick?
Other than batman chewing on his thumb and gripping his cape like a blanket, it's pretty spot-on too
You can never go wrong with a feel-good comic every now and again
@@fynnthefox9078 yhats pretty cute too
@@rdowg he does that? what is that tt go or something? And yess feel good comics are just so good
@diogodifrente4283 ......it's in the video you just commented on?
Best parts of Batman, Superman and Spider-Man are when they're just being bros, especially with kids
Good to know every once in a while Gotham says "Thank you".
I love stories like this where the heroes are reminded of what they fight for 🙂
Someone already mentioned it but I love batman's body language in Gordon's yard. He bites his finger, he fiddles with his gloves and cape, he squats like a kid, he does all this in the span of a few minutes suggesting he's openly fidgeting and pacing, less out of stress and more out of knowing he doesn't need to be stoic.
A Batman who can’t interact with kids is just the Punisher in a furry high tech suit.
Know what? We all needed this. Fruits of Jim and Bruce's labors. Finally a parted cloud yields sunlight on the spot of Gotham. A little difference but still a difference. One change out of many to come.
Sometimes, it's not always about the grand fight between enemies or saving a whole city from genocidal lunatics or crime lords. Sometimes, comics can just be about the positive results of doing good, for a city.
1% progress is Still progress.
i really like how human this whole comic feels, not just the theme/message of the story but also in the little things like how the characters are drawn, batman seems so chill when he's talking with gordon, and plus them smiling and all that, really nice story
I mean, he's got enough of them to have some experience by this point.
To see this man thank gordon with the fsmily gordon could never have, its enough to make me almost cry. What a great character comic
that smile from batman is probably the most genuine i've seen from the guy. i love it.
As I've said with the Batfamily Webcomic, can we PLEASE get this batman back, DC?!
that web comic is literally one of the best batman things i've read
Sometimes those that fight for a better tomorrow just need to see that they've really helped someone.
That they saved someone.
They really did save him and gave him his life back.
ill take this over him turning into a blood thirsty monster or ironman any flippin day
Wow, that was so wholesome, showing someone that Batman saved one day, and how he managed to live on getting a happy life.
I think this is the exact scenario batman wants for his villains, one of the few times where when he puts someone away and they do actually get rehabilitated. It was one of the reasons he doesn't kill his villains.
That kid in the thumbnail look scarier than angry Batman
I like the idea of Batman not being scary to the pure of heart, to the innocent. He might be terrifying to criminals, but not to innocent children. And that is just beautiful.
Nina: Can I be Robin?
Corbett: Sweetie, I don't think that Batman would-
Batman: Uh tuh tuh tuh. Let me hear the kid out
Given how many kids have been in his care over the years, I would certainly HOPE that he's great with them 😅
Come on man, do you have to always make great videos. This one almost made me cry tears of joy
"lets just say i set out to scare criminals, not children"
More interesting & memorable story than anyone where Batman out-muscled/outsmarted the Darkseid in the room.
Excellent Batman voice 🙂🙂
Well done 👍👍
I feel like this is a side of Batman. We don't see too often in modern day iterations. His humanity.
Hes great with kids!
....just not his own...
He’s simply trying to look for more Robins
If you can’t imagine your Batman comforting a child, you’ve written a bad Batman
Batman’s humanity is IMPORTANT, the whole reason he does what he does is because he wants to make the city a place where no other 8 year old kid will lose their parents to some punk with a gun
He has HUMANITY, and feels EMOTIONS
He’s not just a heartless crime fighting vigilante
He’s a man who would hold a girl’s hand as she passes away, a man who offered a mentally ill killer a chance at rehabilitation, he’s a man who offers a woman with the wrong idea, a chance to truly do some good
THAT is Batman
"Knight, knight."
This makes me remember that War Child ad with Batman in it. But that was a lot darker.
He's only scary if you're the kind of person who SHOULD be scared of him.
When you do different voices for each character, you don't need to say "Batman replies", "Gordon confirms". I can read the bubbles for myself. You're moving slower than I am.
:laughs in Robin
Stories like this are necessary, to show Batman is more than just the beating up of super villains and criminals, that he does actually make a positive impact in the long run.
".... I guess the price isn't that high."
Or "see, the price is right, if this is the discount"
You play chicken long enough, you fry.
...hes great with kids.
Batman....aweeeeee that's so sweet when you grow up alittle more I'll make you my robin...coooooool.😅
All I'm thinking about is the robot chicken episodes with Batman.
It's a great story, but I'm kinda hung up on the fact that the Bat signal appears to be some sort of holographic projector at this point in time. Honestly, that makes more sense than the spotlight given when this takes place. Still, weird I never heard about it.
And five minutes after leaving the building they were mugged and murdered by Joker, the end.
You know who isn’t great with kids peacemaker
Wholesome
The guy has come full circle!!!!!
that a cute story, batman and a tired gordon see the fruits of their actions, the result of thei no killing rule: people changing for the better
Batman- she’ll make a great robin
Batman is doing this because his childhood was stolen from him. That's also why he took in the Robins. So they wouldn't turn out like him.
He doesn't want it to happen to anyone else.
Nice story
I hate this cause it shows that we knew how to write at one point
All star batman and robin he’s good with kids
meanwhile I'm watching another video of Batman using physical interrogation on a father in front of his kid.
He’s Robin shopping.
I hate to be the one to say this, but the only scary thing about this is whoever they got to draw the characters' faces. YEESH.
Yea, James Gunn is going for that.
I doubt it since he wrote that scene in Pacemaker called Batman a pussy. That really pissed me off an F tier DC character is It's gonna call the world's greatest hero that like who is he.
@@micoddwarrior Dude, Peacemaker is suppposed to be a masssive douchbag, especially when he say the thing about batman. It's even more ironic that a while later, he can't bring himself to kill the butterfly family showing how much of an hypocrit he is on top of that.
Cute story but the artwork needs improvement Dina was kind of drawn ugly. 8/10
I didn't know Batman is good with children, actually I thought the opposite based on how he f**ed up the life of a few self raised Robins, but now I gotta apologize I guess. 🤣
He made Dick Grayson into one of the biggest chads in DC so id say it evens out
@@billyboleson2830 Unless you count the versions of Dick that are either a total fuckboy or the ones that can't keep it in their pants long enough to get things done.
He just wanted to pick up a cupcake
Is batman supercautious?

He then slapped a Robin costume on her and she died sick months later.

"Batman Is Great With Kids"
Yeah. Except the ones that he turns into Robins
