"Nope. You don't know me at all." I just love the double entendre of that statement. Both meanings of that sentence speaks volumes of who Peter Parker/Spiderman is. First, he's claiming she doesn't know of him. It speaks volumes of his anonymity and humility. Not many people in the city know Peter Parker, and for the sake of his loved ones who need him to keep a low profile, he likes to keep it that way. Second, he's basically telling Vanna to her face (without her even knowing) that she doesn't know the kind of person he is. You can be special and important to others by finding connection with others, friends, family, your community at large if you stop trying to imagine how others feel and just let them in and be kind to them in return. You’ll never be as special as a person who’s being somehow stalked by a super hero but you can be special to somebody
yeeah. I would've appreciated framing this as a 2nd chance tho; that even in her old age she can still do something with her life - now that she's admitted to her problem, really change things around (maybe with a newfound appreciation for Spider-man)
I also wanna point out she was literally frozen from fear, not because she was being defiant. And as soon as Spider-Man says to move she does so immediately.
Sometimes destiny takes you places not to be the hero, but to be a witness. She should have been one of the witnesses who would be there to make sure Spider-Man's deeds were recorded correctly, but instead she made it about her.
Her 1st encounter with Spider-Man wasn't the best and i completely understand her questioning why in the world he was underneath the bleachers like a pervert. But she let this one questionable encounter in high school completely ruin her perspective of him and ultimately her life, truly a sad story. Hopefully she can do something nice for someone before her time runs out
I'm still gonna respect Jameson cause deep down he's a good person who low-key just hates spider man I mean he didn't reveal who took Spiderman photos after goblin broke in Then this woman is just delusional
The beginning honestly puts into context exactly how she came into this insane delusion. Her home life wasn't happy, so she retreated inward and to the internet, where she cultivated extreme main character syndrome possibly along with untreated paranoid schizophrenia.
Vanna hating Spider-Man unaware that that “some kid” in her school is him is something I think about a lot. The person you argued on the internet with randomly like 5 years ago could’ve walked past you the other day and you wouldn’t even know. Just one of those shower thoughts.
No way that after her face being plastered over the entire city as someone Spiderman legally can't be near, supervillains wouldn't be comi gout if the woodworks to use her as a shield. Not once in 50 years?
Now this is mostly my head canon but I imagine a widow is Mary Jane. Now an argument could be made for black cat but at the same time I feel like Felica would go further than just confronting the woman.
Imagine putting a restraining order on spider man and your life is in danger and spider man helps and just says “Sorry restraining order can’t save you” and just dips
Why the hell is there even crime in New York...there is Spiderman,Venom, the Xmen,Avengers, Daredevil, Blade, the Fantastic 4, and many more i cant even think of...i swear i wouldnt even jay walk in New York of the Marvel Universe
Yeah Marvel really overused New York, I get it’s one of the most well known cities in the world but at least spread it out. This is probably why DC uses fictional cities.
Imagine if her therapist was actually competent and just told her to move out of the most Super-Hero/Villain centric city in the world to avoid situations with Spider-Man Coulda fixed a lot of her problems and avoided wasting everyone’s time with a restraining order is all I’m saying
sadly people like her are a dime a dozen, such sad individuals. but hey if they end up like Vanna did, wasting her life barely noticeable, then I'd say: Good for us.
Senior Vanna gets told she was a fool, finds out her “supposed” stalker is dead, was scolded by said “stalker’s” widow, that she let her trauma imprison her unlike Spider-Man who was fueled by his trauma, and admitted she missed him. Then she blogs “nothing important happened today”. Delusional to the end
Nobody gonna talk about how the judge and some cops decline the lady in supporting her delusions and is defending spiderman this just shows how much spiderman has impacted people to do good even if he doesn't know it and is loved by people
"How can a doctor be seeing and taking care of a patient just when I'm around? Maybe hes just doing all this to impress me with his heroism saving lives." Like come on she has to be joking. Why would the guy in his job uniform be doing his job when I'm around?
I don't know, the part where MJ just tracks her down like a solid decade later to tell her off long since it happened to tell her how insignificant her life was feels kind of weird. It feels like it transitioned the story from "oh yeah no someone like this would probably exist" to the "make up a person who doesn't exist to get mad at"
Not even Jameson was this crazy sure he believed spider man was a menace despite all the stuff spider man does but he never believed spider man was out to get him specifically and even he never tried to sue spider man last I checked (ok apparently he did)
Spider man: I can't save you from falling off the destroyed bridge, you have a Restraining order against me. That would be a wild thing to have on your grave, *I would have lived if not for the Restraining order.*

Would Vanna feel the same way if she was in the same school as Kamala Khan Ms Marvel, Riri_Williams Ironheart or Richard Rider Nova like would she feel the same way about them like how she felt about Spider-Man?
Unlike Peter those characters would actually meet and talk to Vanna to explain themselves. Kamala and Riri would see her posts and meet with her in there superhero identities to talk, not sure if after talking Vanna would let it go or actually stay in this one sided grudge against them, heck, them actually appearing and talking to her might make it even worse and increase her ego.
Yeah, I remeber this issue, it was interesting, though, I had forgotten how Spidey widow in that universe brought her down to Earth REALLY hard, and of course I lost interest in the persecution case and now wonder who Spidey married there, with that clothing, white hair and sunglasses we just can't tell, aside that is a white woman. Could be Gwen, MJ, Silver Sable or even Madame Webb. Certainly is not Zendaya.
Felt bad for Vanna. Clearly she has mental issues, and it's not like anyone took her blog setiously, so I don't really see why mary jane or whoever his widow was, had to seek her out and destroy her.
I can empathize with feeling sympathy for Vana, as given her parents arguing in the background it’s certain she probably has a somewhat miserable life and possibly undiagnosed mental illnesses. However, no amount of issues or disabilities can excuse trying to make someone else miserable, and I’m much more charitable to the currently grieving widow than to the strange blogposter who has it out for one of the greatest heroes on their planet.

You’ll never be as special as a person who’s being somehow stalked by a super hero but you can be special to somebody
yeeah. I would've appreciated framing this as a 2nd chance tho; that even in her old age she can still do something with her life - now that she's admitted to her problem, really change things around (maybe with a newfound appreciation for Spider-man)
1:05 “The others ran like sheep, but me? I stood my ground. *Nobody* tells me what to do!”
Spider-Man: “Guess I’m nobody.”
I also wanna point out she was literally frozen from fear, not because she was being defiant. And as soon as Spider-Man says to move she does so immediately.
Man, she makes Jameson look like a Saint.
Sometimes destiny takes you places not to be the hero, but to be a witness. She should have been one of the witnesses who would be there to make sure Spider-Man's deeds were recorded correctly, but instead she made it about her.
Jameson: Finally, a kindred spirit. 🎉
The narcissism is insane lol
This story is the embodiment of ‘can you imagine hating me, while I’m sitting right here?’
Spiderman meets a karen.
Her 1st encounter with Spider-Man wasn't the best and i completely understand her questioning why in the world he was underneath the bleachers like a pervert. But she let this one questionable encounter in high school completely ruin her perspective of him and ultimately her life, truly a sad story. Hopefully she can do something nice for someone before her time runs out
I'm still gonna respect Jameson cause deep down he's a good person who low-key just hates spider man
I mean he didn't reveal who took Spiderman photos after goblin broke in
Then this woman is just delusional
Jameson is not a good person.
@@mayotango1317 If he was willing not to give parkers name to goblin despite his life on the line then im pretty sure he is a good person
@SussySuzuki That happen in a f*cking movie, no in the comics.
She then gets attacked and complains no one helps her:
The beginning honestly puts into context exactly how she came into this insane delusion. Her home life wasn't happy, so she retreated inward and to the internet, where she cultivated extreme main character syndrome possibly along with untreated paranoid schizophrenia.
This is a great short story from one of the best eras for the character.
Vanna hating Spider-Man unaware that that “some kid” in her school is him is something I think about a lot. The person you argued on the internet with randomly like 5 years ago could’ve walked past you the other day and you wouldn’t even know. Just one of those shower thoughts.
My eyes might be tired, because I misread “Vanna” as “Venom”
This is what Spider-Man gets for saving lives
I’d change the ending to a villain taking advantage of the restraining order and attacking Vanna
First off, Felica would have confronted her LONG AGO!
it is mj he did not show it but at one point in the comic she calls the widow for mary jane
@@emilrasmussen1309
Also, they were married at the time so it wouldn't make sense for it to be Felicia
Imagine putting a restraining order on spider man and your life is in danger and spider man helps and just says “Sorry restraining order can’t save you” and just dips
Even the judge find the case ridiculous. He event stated “You may need want to consider getting professional help” 😂
Why the hell is there even crime in New York...there is Spiderman,Venom, the Xmen,Avengers, Daredevil, Blade, the Fantastic 4, and many more i cant even think of...i swear i wouldnt even jay walk in New York of the Marvel Universe
I believe the X-Men are in upstate New York, but yeah with so many heroes in New York City, crime should practically be zero lol
Yeah Marvel really overused New York, I get it’s one of the most well known cities in the world but at least spread it out. This is probably why DC uses fictional cities.
Remember multiverse and shit
Imagine if her therapist was actually competent and just told her to move out of the most Super-Hero/Villain centric city in the world to avoid situations with Spider-Man
Coulda fixed a lot of her problems and avoided wasting everyone’s time with a restraining order is all I’m saying
She's more insane than the Green goblin and Carnage combined.
Oh come on, nothing surpasses Green Goblin, and especially Cletus (and Carnage of course)
@@frank8917 *Green.
@@davidchism6081 dammit
In her belief that Spider-Man was obsessed with her, she became obsessed with him.
sadly people like her are a dime a dozen, such sad individuals.
but hey if they end up like Vanna did, wasting her life barely noticeable, then I'd say:
Good for us.
She got hit with the Jameson ray
Senior Vanna gets told she was a fool, finds out her “supposed” stalker is dead, was scolded by said “stalker’s” widow, that she let her trauma imprison her unlike Spider-Man who was fueled by his trauma, and admitted she missed him. Then she blogs “nothing important happened today”.
Delusional to the end
its so refreashing not hearing a robot read a robot read out comics
It feels like it transitioned the story from "oh yeah no someone like this would probably exist" to the "make up a person who doesn't exist to get mad at"
Forty years, not a decade. smh
crazy how there are people fr like this
Not even Jameson was this crazy sure he believed spider man was a menace despite all the stuff spider man does but he never believed spider man was out to get him specifically and even he never tried to sue spider man last I checked (ok apparently he did)
When he found out he was Peter Parker in civil war he did
@ oh never mind then
When Spidey lifted up and saved the Daily Bugle, he almost sued him
@@TurusDJava wasn't it for staging to get the only clear pictures of Spider-Man when it was actually of himself the whole time?
0:47 The Vulture telling those voluptuous teens to flee before his costume gets too tight, is hilarious.
So at no time did she realise that the world doesn't revolve around just the one person...
Narcissism is one hell of a drug.
Art imitating life.
A lot of narcissistic bitter girls act like this
People like this do exist in real life
Narcissists
Spider man: I can't save you from falling off the destroyed bridge, you have a Restraining order against me. That would be a wild thing to have on your grave, *I would have lived if not for the Restraining order.*
The worst foe of all time..... The Karen!
Wow, I never thought I could hate a character so much without even knowing they existed.
04:32 GONNA KMS 💀💀💀
13:07 no I’m not happy
J Jonah Jameson would love to hear this karen.
It’s always a self entitled woman with too much time and ego to be bothered by such trivial matters
i still want to give her a reset button
An example of the crazy lady.
The little Peter Palmer reference at the start was unexpected 😂
7:48 Not to mention, if you read those documents, I think she may have printed the wrong thing out... Looks like, "Lorium ipsum" or however you spell it...
It's a Latin text, used as a blank filler. Lorem Ipsum.
"WHY ARE YOU STALKING ME"
"Bro we're on a fucking beach where else would a man made of sand be 💔"
She must think the world only spins because she was put here
Nice, i didn't know pete was skilled in the hammer throw.
i know a lot of people who would benefit from reading this comic.
this is fantastic literature.
This is like needlessly depressing
Can't have a Spidey story without somebody suffering
Would Vanna feel the same way if she was in the same school as Kamala Khan Ms Marvel, Riri_Williams Ironheart or Richard Rider Nova like would she feel the same way about them like how she felt about Spider-Man?
Unlike Peter those characters would actually meet and talk to Vanna to explain themselves. Kamala and Riri would see her posts and meet with her in there superhero identities to talk, not sure if after talking Vanna would let it go or actually stay in this one sided grudge against them, heck, them actually appearing and talking to her might make it even worse and increase her ego.
It will be worse, women's egos don't mix well.
@kaine8911 i dont think theyd care.
What if this girl was chased by the Angry Mob because of Spider-Man unable to perform his duties all thanks to her?
She die.
-God of War Surtur.
@sussyangel7492 That's cruel I thought they'll just put her out of new york for good that seems less harmful
Wait a minute, MJ caring about Spider-Man?
Is the pre-One More Day MJ.
Does anybody know of a dumber person in the Marvel universe? Please tell me if there's anyone dumber.
Jameson wanting to sue and slander Spidey after saving his whole entire building was pretty close
Spiderman In The End The passed away doing what he do best saving the world.
Pretty damn surprised that villian(s) didn't kidnap her to use her restraining order against Spidey
Felt bad for Vanna. Clearly she has mental issues, and it's not like anyone took her blog setiously, so I don't really see why mary jane or whoever his widow was, had to seek her out and destroy her.
Are you slow?
I can empathize with feeling sympathy for Vana, as given her parents arguing in the background it’s certain she probably has a somewhat miserable life and possibly undiagnosed mental illnesses. However, no amount of issues or disabilities can excuse trying to make someone else miserable, and I’m much more charitable to the currently grieving widow than to the strange blogposter who has it out for one of the greatest heroes on their planet.
What a a pitiful life
oh my god, this WOMAN THİNKS THE WORLD SPİNS AROUND HER.
Imagine that, you live in and travel around New York in the marvel universe for years and have multiple encounters with spiderman. It’s like going to the beach and being shocked there’s sand
She totally missed the assignment.
You know, after all the crap MJ puts Peter through in the movies, cartoons, and the current comic book run, it’s so relieving to see MJ actually stick up for Peter and pretty much say “you moron. Spider-Man would’ve done anything to protect you just like anyone else in this city, but you spent your life, dragging his name through the dirt when he didn’t have an ounce of hatred to give to someone like you“
