    Genetics in full display..
    Hopefully the one with the hole in head disease heals well..
    Great update Greg

      Thanks Chris! the big guy that had the hole in the head hasn't gotten any worse, he actually healed up a little and looks more active now but Uaru are slow healers, when they get any type of injury it takes for ever to completely heal up as compared to other fish so this will take some time before he looks fully healed

      Thanks! I'm thinking the smaller one might be a female.

    Beautiful tank, I have Severums too. My only recommendation is that I would add a large piece of driftwood to add depth to the tank. It’s a bit to open in my opinion.

      @Golden.FishTank  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought about adding a nice piece of driftwood to the tank but there are advantages to a open tank especially at night when your fish sometimes get spooked they could get injured easily if they bump into any edges on the driftwood, I had that happen a few times years ago so I removed the driftwood and it never happened again, Thanks for commenting and for your concern.

      Cool , if the fish are happy that’s all that matters. With my Severums I have to dim the lights slowly. if I abruptly turn off the lights they dart all over the tank lol

    • @Golden.FishTank
      @Golden.FishTank  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      My severums are use to the lights just turning off but sometimes in the middle of the night I can hear some of the bigger fish splashing around at the top of the tank then darting off into the bottom of the tank somewhere, I agree the severums do spook easier than all the other fish I have in my tank, I use to have silver dollar fish and they would get spooked at the slightest movements in the room where the tank is, reason I got rid of them.

    Greg I watch all you guys video and commercial but for some reasons you y'all have more Pet related ones. Anyhow that's neither here or there, great update. Their definitely growing faster then the other one. Maybe the smaller one is female🙂 LIKE#5

    • @Golden.FishTank
      @Golden.FishTank  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm thinking female too, as for the commercials I didn't do anything to select them, I don't think you can select the type of ads but I could be wrong, they just put them that way, the only thing I can think of is in the description of my channel type I use Animals so maybe they choose ads appropriate to your channel type.

    You'll have to have a look at my last video (montecristo cichlid update) and tell me what you think about adding a Uaru in there.
    The 2 other cichlids are not in there now, I just have a single Synodontis and my Severum so was wondering if a Uaru would get on ok, cheers!

    • @Golden.FishTank
      @Golden.FishTank  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I didn't see this as it got held for review, the Synodonis should be ok if the Uaru are bigger than him as for the severum, if that is a red shoulder severum every one I have ever owned can be aggressive towards certain fish, my severums don't bother my Uaru only sometimes when I feed them they will kind of almost lock lips and push each other away from where the food has sunken to the bottom of the tank, they are really not fighting just greedy and trying to get all the food, you can give it a try, it's really hit and miss.

    That is a vast difference in growth rates, I guess it's similar to the acaras

    • @Golden.FishTank
      @Golden.FishTank  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is but I think the acaras are too inbred because they do look a little deformed.
