Awesome video. I just purchased the X3 for a Overseas holiday to Greece. I have only done one video with it, so I need to test it out a bit more. I have a accessory kit on order that has a Chest Mount, Head mount ,back pack mount and a Hand Mount. I will most likely be using single lens mode with a couple of those mounts. Subscribed. :)

I bought this camera thinking it will make a good dashcam 360. I'm thinking mount upside down attach to sunroof so camera will in middle of car viewing 360 should a excellent security. I should be receiving it the mail any day now.

The single mode is the answer for Vloggers, because you can jump to editing using a regular software. But if you Vlog in 360, its a Mess. as you cant search-edit-crop using the App by looking at a wave form track. So I cant quickly crop the parts that I stay silent, making me listen at playspeed x1 for all footage, mark, then crop. The Single mode is the answer, but its still sad.
Okaaay, I gotta admit this looks as good as the GoPro, but better because of its versatility. I love your style of melding real world testing with your review. 🙌
Some of the motion inside the market kinda hurt my eyes. Not sure if it was the camera or just you moving quickly? Been waiting on GoPro to announce their new 360 but this is very tempting! How did you feel about the stabilization? I think the GoPro videos you have done seemed smoother? Let us know what you think of it the more you use it!
@@pnwpaths2925 This lens is much wider than GoPro so it will make movement appear faster and can be dizzi-ing, I think. I’ve been playing around with when to use this camera and have determine that it’s a great camera but it has its uses.
Most of the issue with this footage is it's compressed to 1080p. Insta360 cameras produce fairly ok footage, but if you compress the output to below 1440p, it makes it look a LOT worse!
Really appreciate this sort of raw footage from the camera to see how it works with just every day vlogging. Picking one up today!

why did you publish in 1080? why not 4k? camera restrictions?
Because some of the footage was from the Insta360 X3 filmed in 360 in 5.7K. The 5.7 is actually 1080 when you frame the footage.

I hope so! I'd only want it if I could do a standard 16:9 in single lens mode.
Great review, but you should film everything with it. Mostly in 360, then crop in shots. Also specify the single lens when its being used only.
This review focuses on the single lens hence why it’s used a lot here. Quality is not as good in 360 as its 1080 and not 4K.
