guys there's another method that worked for me (if a vpn is causing this problem here's the solution, my vpn is speedify and it caused this problem) so go to network and sharing then disable the local area network connection then end task of the vpn on task manager (in my case its speedify) all done!
Step by step what worked for me. opened command promot as admin, typed " ipconfig/flushdns", turned off my pc, unplugged my ethernet from my pc and router, left my pc off. Restarted my router and waited for it to be on completely, plugged my ethernet in my pc upstairs, ran back down and moved the spot my ethernet was usually in from slot 1 to slot 3. then turned my pc and got prompted a message about internet from windows and clicked "allow" and it worked from now, I switched from verizon to comcast yesterday and never had an issue with verizon and comcast tried gaslighting me saying it was my pc. Already miss verizon.
