hi, do you have the vixen with a 40cm or 25cm barrel? why did you decide to replace the original regulator? Due to the increase in joules or did you have other problems?
40cam barrel FAC version. The stock regulator was faulty and inconsistent on the the chronograph . After i changed it 3 times with no improvement i replaced it with a HUMA tunes version and it was perfect. The AGT stock regulator is crap
I was considering mounting an externally adjustable pressure regulator, like the regulators on paintball markers. However, you would need to have precise measurements. Or maybe mount it in series with the original one (opening it completely)
Thanks for sharing. Have you ever replaced the regulator in a Vixen? I want to replace mine with a Huma reg but don’t feel confident in doing so without detail instructions. Do you know of a video or written instructions ?
Huma’s website states that their reg also includes a plenum and all I have to do is “ remove the factory reg and plenum” and “ install the Huma reg and plenum”. I received no plenum. I don’t know what the plenum looks like! When I removed the factory reg I didn’t see anything else to remove. Obviously I need help!!

Yes I have replaced the reg on mine with a Huma tuned reg, its an easy process. The stock reg on the vixen is very poor performance.

Mine is set for now at 38 joules, i have however upgraded the regulator to a HUMA.

The Non FAC versions have a 'Tamperproof screw' in them and the reg set accordingly.

I believe so. Mine is long and FAC . Regulator set at 110 bar factory standard.

yes of couse but the pellet will loose stability in flight
