What a marvelous building. I am alwys amazed at the artistry of all you historians. I'm not sure who was looking a bit greener in the cupola. Scary ascent. The drone footage was amazing, too. What an adventure!
Now this man has a Georgia Accent! Reminds me of my Grandfather, his was the old Tennessee Accent. He was Priceless... We must return for the Completion Your. Your Viewers are going to love this. Best Thoughts!!! Beth Tennessee, USA
Well, please make sure you go back when he's all done and show us what it looks like if it's okay by him. Cause that would be really awesome. Looking forward to that Fort.
Mr. Buckner is an absolute gem. I hope his children appreciate what he's doing with this amazing historical house, and that they treasure it far into the future. Thanks Robert and Dan for showing us these real snippets of history.
Oh wow! That house is going to be incredible . Amazing to be saving an old plantation house and turning it into a modern abode. Just proves that old houses don’t need to be torn down they can be moved, rehabbed, rebuilt and continue on with their legacy and history. What that man is doing is incredible. Donna Northern Michigan
Mike is a throwback to the old southern way of life. He reminds me so much of my dad and my granddad. His home is unbelievable and when it's finished it truly will be a showplace. Even though the woke media is anti-southern, between Mike's mill and his home it has been a pleasure to see some things in the south are still as they should be. Thanks Robert & Dan.
I love how y'all are saving old historic houses in your area. What a unique house. Love the "widow's walk".. just need an ocean nearby. But thank you for this tour. I hope we get to see it finished!
There’s not enough adjectives to describe this magnificent house. I was so impressed with it. When I think about of all the time Mike put into making this 1840 house just blows me away. All the old reclaimed wood being used once again. The size of those original doors. My goodness I could go on n on. The view from the top was awesome. I’m sure the video didn’t do justice for all the beauty it has. He never did mention when he started putting the house together. I’m hoping you can share if you know. I’m so happy you shared this with your UTube fans. I hope Mike will be able to finish this up by 2024. Cuz you know we all want to see progress made. I loved this magnificent beautiful house that one day be a home. Thanks Robert n Mr. Dan ♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍🌟🌟🌟🌟🥰🐶
Love this channel, I love that there are southerners preserving their history and historical gems like this. While a lot of people and entertainers turning there backs to their southern roots, at least there are the working class and people of the area with the means to preserve what they can to pass it on down to the next generation and hopefully they will cherish it and be stewards of what is left to them.
Wow! Just WOW! Did you know it takes gold to make red glass? Yes! Of course, this made red glass the most expensive color and, therefore, assured its relative rarity. For a deep ruby red, the gold content is higher than for the lighter cranberry shade. Thank you Google.
This was a fun day. I didn't even notice the wavy glass when we were there. Had no idea you could find folks to recreate that for old house restoration. Such a neat place to get to visit and that view + breeze was spectacular!
That house will be beautiful when it is finished. What a location it's in! Mike seems like a very interesting fellow who puts resources to good use. Please keep us updated on its progress. I live in the eastern NC coastal plain, and my daddy was a farmer. Our sandy soil will grow all kinds of things. It just depends on what you're trying to grow.
I sing praises for folks who confront their fears for the sake of experiencing something amazing!---How many of us wish we had the time & money to devote to engaging a project like this?
All I can say is WOW! Mike is an amazing person. He is empirical proof that if a person has a dream, all it takes is hard work, perseverance and financial savvy!
A remarkable man building this for his children and for the foreseeable future. He's so down to earth. I loved the mill on the previous video. Use to have mills around the town in the UK where I live but they were demolished long ago. Just rubble scattered about nowadays and nature has took it back.
Amazing that he is investing such time and thought into this. Beautiful property and view. This is so exciting it is hard to sit still and watch it! Just WOW!! Thank you for sharing this! 👍👍❣❣
I'm going thu and watching older video's and all at once I see joy. So glad your hanging out with Dan and Robert. Love having in the video's. We all love history. Thanks for all the good videos.
Mr. Buckner reminds me so much of my Uncle Phil, talks just like him (we're all from Savannah, relocated to upstate South Carolina). This house is magnificent! Definitely need to see the finished product ☺️

That is really something. He is going to leave a legacy that his great grandkids will ad mire. My hat is off to him.
I'm hoping to see the completed restoration. If walls could talk that house would have an incredible story to tell.
I love Robert and Dan road trips!! I hope he has family to inherit all his hard work.
