    Excellent video Barry! Nice to see that the Tegeler Audio Creme is in use in your studio. I got the Creme RC, and abolutely love it. Highly recommended. It is excellent piece of gear that does not seem have the recognition it deserves.

    This was such an enjoyable tour Barry. Thank you for sharing. Really looking forward to the review of the Heritage unit - I am very closely eyeing the twin channel version as possibily my first dipping of the toes into more serious outboard for my little tracking studio. I have cobbled together affordable - but good quality - items through the years, and they are at least mostly integrate-able into higher quality component upgrades. I am really debating on the cost per channel proposition. In other words do I get 4 Porticos or 2 classic Neves, or 6 channels of HA vs 2 Newton channels. I am kind of in the 'if you build it they will come' phase' LOL. My budget forces me into incrementality for sure though....

    I've got the Klark KT-2a. If you upgrade the optocell to the Kenetek t4B it noticeably improves this unit. I also upgraded the tubes and now I would expect it to perform as well as the WA-2A. However, My my modded KT-2a cost me around £480 in total which is around £300-£400 less than the Warm WA-2A!

    Wow Barry that is a wonderful studio setup! Hopefully, one day I can get mine on a similar setup. Two thumbs up for using RME as I have two of their interfaces and they are just one a different level than anything out there.
    The DBX 560, they claim it is the exact modeling of the legendary 166 version. Would you say that is a valid claim? I have the same unit as yours but have no personal reference to its predecessor. From my experience for bass and drums it is fire.

    Great video Barry I really enjoyed it. Here is a novel idea for a video as I don’t see it at all on TH-cam. Could you please help us mere mortals work out how to achieve a good headphone mix for singers? I also have an RME UFX ii and a pulse 16 but when I try to get a headphone mix together it always falls short. This would be amazing.

    • @BarryJohns
      @BarryJohns  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had that in there, must have accidentally edited it out. It's the Loupdeck CT that I use for video editing, however, it works great in my various DAW's as an extended control surface to my SSL UF8's. I plan to make a dedicated video about it at some point.
