As an Auntie to a Sinner.... I am very proud! Way back in my punk rock days I would have followed this band to the ends of the earth!!!! Now I watch their videos and share their love!!! Keep your wild free spirits wild, be safe and have fun!!! Love you all XXOO

amber williams I think you are wrong I think it is actually that punk folk are unjust pirates who always find their way forward to the sea. See you had it backward. Ho Ho Ho Yo Ho Ho and a Bottle of Rum.
Michael Higgins there were a few tough psychopathic and powerful women pirates just as nasty as the best male pirates though if you have read extensively about pirate history. I myself have not read extensively on pirate history but I have heard someone who has done say so.
The Scurvy Bastards were desert pirates... We sailed on oceans of sagebrush, terrorizing the Great Basin in search of booty... Look at our album cover... The land is sea, and the lakes are islands...
Lol, maybe, but this is definitely what happened when a bunch of underage punks and skins with un-cool instruments got drunk on Natural Ice and Jãger in the middle of the goddamn desert 20 years ago... Trust me, I was there... We lit a VW engine block on fire... Who needs Burning Man when you got Scurvy Bastards?
@@svendahli4096 Wow! Where was Vice Media? They could have filmed it for one of their documentaries and given it the dream title 'Antifa Take a Supper Break'.
As a washboard player myself, along with multiple string instruments, and a fan of everything from pure bluegrass, sea shanties, Punk, Goth, hard core, and hot chicks with ink.... This band is literally the Holy Grail. I am in awe.
I swear I picture these guys jamming on a front of a ship pulling up to a harbor at night, foggy, lanterns glowing and fellow pirate on land looking with a smile jamming n welcoming with open arms.
This has been my favorite song for a few years now. As a punk rocker raised on bluegrass, this is really on point for me!! Showed My father (bluegrass hillbilly punkrocker) he loves it too. He played it at 5am for my mom lol she was not having it!!
i thought that was weird too. I mean, not in a bad way. But it is weird seeing DnD playing but not hearing Jesse or Whitney at all cause their voices are so distinct. Like you, at first I didn't even see Jesse there at all. Its all good though cause I like Bridge City Sinners too.
Hi! Joe from Scurvy Bastards here... Just be glad you weren't in the same room when the song was written... It was a shitty, cold, lonely drunken process... We had better songs than this; "Old Man Crow" was our best song, imo.
This introduced me to the original, Dungeon by the Scurvy Bastards and that is some interesting pirate music. Nice choice for a cover! Both are excellent!
Thanks... It's weird for me to see one of our silly drinking songs (we barely knew how to play our instruments) live on... We were listening to different stuff like The Dead Milkmen and The Pogues and The Business... It just
I never listened to this type of music then I discovered Bridge City Sinners and I find myself binge listening to their great music and songs!!! A big hug from me.
Me too! I had no idea what I was getting into, lol. I found them on Apple Music because they’re listed as a “similar artist” to Twin Temple, right next to Coven and Lucifer. TBCS were such a breath of fresh air because I adore acoustic instruments, and Libby’s voice! Never thought I’d be able to find a female-fronted Satanic band that plays punk folk music, but I’m so glad that I did, even though now I’m always craving more and that’s a difficult-to-satisfy habit, lol.
wow...WOW!!!!! a scurvy bastards song...my band played Reno NV like, early 2000's and a girl at the show gave me the Scurvy CD an damn Ive loved it ever since. stoked to have come across this
What happens when you get a bunch of extremely talented Lyrical Guinness's together? A sound like no other. Bridge City Sinners and Days n Daze TOMAS GARRETON is definitely smiling and watching over all of you. 💜 🤘
Thanks to Days n Daze for bringing me into contact with you guys- you´re pretty intense and I miss such kind of acoustic punk music in my country, Germany keep on screaming and singing!
Wow! What a great compliment to see people I've never met singing our song... These guys do it justice, (much more musically disciplined than we were) and I am truly honoured that our drunken ditty ended up having so much life in it... Not a bad accomplishment for a bunch of punks and skins from Nevada to see our silly little tune FAR out-live our actual band... My name is Joe... I am the accordion player from Scurvy Bastards... (Reno is RAD)... This song was written by our banjo player Richard Tarantino while he was sitting on the toilet, whirling a bottle of Bushmills, in a tiny bathroom with a burnt out lightbulb in the middle of a Reno winter... This song was literally written on the toilet during one of our "band practice/partys"... listen to the words... I don't know where the "oi oi oi" thing came from, except we'd already used "yo ho ho", and we were listening to a lot of Oi! music back then, 20 years ago... And... WHERE IS MY GODDAMN ROYALTY CHECKS, MUTHAFUCKAS? PETE "THE STICKER GUY" WILL FUCK YOU UP! (JK, love you guys)
All of you guys are Great. Dont get me wrong but the instrumental part is incredible good. I wish there would be an istrumental version of this treasure. The violin guy is awesome
By far, one of the best shows I've been to this year! Soooooo much energy, I live for it! Love that this was done right on the block I grew up on (and still frequent)! Y'all are friggen amazing. 🧡

Yes this screams Punk!
folk punks are just pirates who cant find their way back to the sea, change my mind.

I have a pirate friend
Pirates? Like Somalia? Or more like jack sparrow? What the hell are you trying to say? You are plumbing the depths of a fathomless shallow.

I like the dude on the violin. He really do be vibin
Lighting Luke is a beast! This music would be fiddle style, but its the same instrument just set up different.
A phenomenal player!
I love that Days N Daze is just THERE, like Jesse doesn't have a verse or sing along or anything they just EXIST
This is what happens when a group of pirates gather together and drink! They make a song of destruction 🖤🖤🤘🏼

This band is the Holy Grail anyway.
The first time I ever saw a washboard being played was at a Femmes show back in 89’. I was in awe! Cheers to you man!!!!🎵💜🎵
Jesus…… the holy grail
"Bridge City Sinners"...the band I didn't know I needed right now!!!
Would have loved if both groups got singing parts in a song, but regardless, I am overjoyed that 2 bands I love got together for this!
me and the boys playing the inn for rooms and ale.
I'm really loving this wave of punk influenced bluegrass pirate core bands coming out! Such a nice change from the music of mainstream.
It's not new... The original is 20 years old.
Yo pfp twins!
This is the most fun song I've ever heard in my entire life!!! YahahaHAAAA yohohoHOOOO!!!
Watching Whitney cracking up in the back is a lot of fun
I lost this song years ago, thank you very much ❤❤❤❤❤❤ and search days n dais 😅
Sometimes you find something in life that enhances it...thank you TH-cam for bringing me here !!
I swear I picture these guys jamming on a front of a ship pulling up to a harbor at night, foggy, lanterns glowing and fellow pirate on land looking with a smile jamming n welcoming with open arms.
So much depth added with another band. The song felt so visceral! It left my teeth, chattering for more.
every time I hear this song I feel like a tavern brawl should be breaking out around me like a mosh pit.

Whitney having a blast looking around at everybody else going nuts is the best part of this video lmao
sadly this song doesn't have much space for her to go off on the trumpet
Thinking "I may have overdressed ".
❤😘❤ and love the band and all the instruments . Perfect great job

What a beautiful and BAD ASS voice she's got.....fucking LOVE IT!!!🔥🔥🔥😎

Simply perfect Lineup, Thanx^^
Watching this video, the energy is nearly palpable, I bet it's nothing compared to being in the same room though!

Not as palpable as the smell was.
Hands down probably the most beautiful song I've heard in a long time
