I love the little rivalry between Raam and Kim in Raam's Shadow. It really added so much needed development for Kim's character with him trying to get revenge for Valera, and it makes his death feel even more singled out.
Very much, it made me accept Ultimate edition more behind this, it makes sense for him to come back with better armor (even though I do prefere his old one) and that he single targets Kim instead of trying to kill the rest of the squad
Raam doesn't have say anything to be badass he just let's his actions speak.
I got good enough hand gestures and finger signing that a cop got in my face and said hed throw me down the stairs himself if I didnt get the fuck. Was worth it.
He doesn't speak on the battlefield just read the comics he's very talkative among his fellow Locust. Especially his sworn brother Skorge!
I like that you can find things to appreciate about both the orginal gears and the remaster when it comes to the cutscenes of ramn killing both mihn and the cog soldier.
Both versions of the executions on that gear are just brutal

honestly, a gears of war game where you play as the locust in the campaign, for example the rise of RAAM would be amazing.
They got to remaster gears 2 and 3 like they did 1 it would be cool seeing it in good graphics
They definetly need to remaster 2nd
I felt like most of RAAMs scenes were done better in the original. I love the subtle improvements, but the first scene in the original generated more intensity in the battlefield with everyone shouting over the firefight with Marcus seeing RAAM and actually yelling for them to fall back. It's the small details that make it such a dark and great scene for a villain entrance.
I remember being blown away by how good the graphics looked back in 06
I want a gow game about raam and skorge fighting the lambent and forcusing more about the locust like how the comics went but in a game

Yet again he wanted a fair fight Kim just didn't have that much in him since he was to keen ig on the mission while Marcus had straight strategies and tactics to defeat the locust which I'm assuming RAAM thought "he may just be the right opponent, send everyone I want to see his work" I'm guessing RAAM just wanted a fair fighter even if his last death went "off the rails" get it cuz he's on a, and died on the- forget about it

I never beaten the first one. Raam was too difficult at the time. Then I saw how you were supposed to kill him, it was that hard at all.

Since the video games are shown through the eyes of humanity everyone sees wrong as a scary merciless monster who is the bane of humanity. Just read The Rise of Raam comic and you'll see he was manipulative and visionary. He had Big Dreams of commanding the Locust Army to invade the surface because he could immediately tell that the lambent war was lost and he didn't want to the waste efforts on a lost cause. He also had a bond of Brotherhood with Skorge and a respectable partnership with Karn. When he was a Vold (lieutenant) he created a conspiracy to showcase the ineffectiveness of their current Uzil (High General) Sraak. That's how he earned the favor of Queen Myrrah.

Good question, the queen did communicate with raam or at least in raams shadow so maybe she told him to, perhaps to see what they were up to.
Well Raams whole thing was that he is calculated and planning, they communicated it better in the remaster but that scene was him using the Gears helmet to see what CoG H.Q was planning, thats how he knew, it is also said somewhere (cant remember where to be exact) that Raam studies the hierarchy of the CoG army which is apart of his "cut off the head" strategy
