  • In the 1950s one of the big steps in Theme Park entertainment was a way of presenting films to an audience that truly encapsulated them, a technology that arguably wouldn’t be used to its full potential until 4 decades later in the 1990s.

During the preshow for this ride they try to get a word from the timekeeper. It just cuts to him screaming with something obviously going wrong. The narrator mentions that wasnt the word we were hoping for.

A time loop and cross over to earth....the moon hides behind the rabbit hole...the moon shows the rabbit hole.
I see no cows jump over the moon .
I see no man in the moon.
      I see a rabbits moon ..
On this side of the rabbit hole is a world of deception.
When is the moon not a moon? When it's a black hole...
      Where am eye?
I'm near the rabbit hole ,where the moon hides ..
Can you hear me, I wish to be set Free..
      Adjust your perception,
Im on a world of deception.
It appears media's or entertainers rule the gullible humans in lies and illusions and mild hypnosis.
      Television is liarsvision...
Technology used to conform the minds of children.
If you can disprove the impossible... And actions speak louder than words. ..
Psychological warfare on children with lies and illusions....you can't disprove me... television is not about truth. It's about creating more liars and psychopaths by long periods of exposure to lies and illusions...

I loved this attraction along with Alien Encounters. Both some of the best Disney storytelling. They told such big stories in such a small area, and to a child very magical. I would love to see an updated version of this using the origional voice recordings for Timekeeper and Nineeye. And now that Disney owns Aliens franchise to bring back Alien Ecounters with the origional intended IP in either HS or when they deliver a 5th gate. Audiences are more mature and could handle it these days.

Thank you so much for doing this video, I remembered and attraction with robin williams as not even a toddler, and It took me 18 years to find out what the attraction really was. I wish I had better memories but this attraction was so good, which can be shown through how long I remembered it.

This is a great example of a great, original Disney theme park attraction. Proving imagineers can make amazing attractions that aren’t based on IP. (Some IP based attractions are great BTW, but I think we should have more original attractions.)

Timekeeper was always a favorite!! It was hysterical and interesting!! For my family, Laugh Factory seems to have become a ritual 1st ride the 1st time we go to Magic Kingdom on a trip!! Somehow, I've been "that guy" twice, out of seeing the show 5 times!!!!

I hate the presence of Buzz Lightyear in Discoveryland and Tomorrowland. He's a 1990s toy that belongs in Andy's backyard, not in the future or retro-future of these lands. I'd love to restore Le Visionarium---especially in Paris---utilising today's projection technology and A1000 audio-animatronics. A few years ago, I had seen this traveling film called, "Horizon: A 360* Journey/Sesqui" for the 150th anniversary of Canada's Confederation. It was a hemispherical film, which was projected into a dome screen in a theatre similar in shape to an igloo. The picture was seamless (no black bars like in Disney's CircleVision theatres). Imagine an updated Le Visionarium with projections not just on the walls, but on the ceiling as well. I'd also like to see an updated story that not only pulls Verne through time in the film, but into the actual theatre where he's represented through an audio-animatronic and works alongside the time keeper to perfect the time travel technology. Eventually, Verne leaves us to return to the past to collect his friend Wells to go off on their own adventures and perhaps we'll bump into them sometime in the future. If Disney absolutely needs an IP to market through this attraction, perhaps they can create a new animated series for DisneyXD---The Timekeeper, a steampunk time travel adventure series (sort of like steampunk Rick and Morty). I'd get James Lopez and Alex Hirsch to produce and use the writers of Gravity Falls and the new DuckTales to appeal to all ages, not just kids.

    Robin Williams:
The humble stand-up made the world laugh.
    I improvised every second.
    He easily brought to tears
    Your viewer and your listener
    Robin Williams pedaled.
    And maneuvered through his life.
Yes ... His path was not sinless
There is versatility, you can't turn away from it
Good-naturedly and energetically he lived on Earth
I flew to the soldiers in the war.
Responded to requests from his fans
People like him are not born twice
From "Happy Days" to "This is a fucking Christmas miracle"
Many different roles have been played.
Actor Robin Williams of various plans
    From comedies to snot
    Loved children and rare books
    Bicycles and computer games.
Was also a geek of cinema
    Collected what touched him
    No conviction from suicide
He could no longer make peace with himself.
    Losing memory and self-control
Robin settled the score and left bitterly ...
Robin's creativity does not fade away.
He lives in the hearts of fans.
Probably laughing with the Almighty in the sky
Robin Williams will never stop ...

Well if I'm not mistaken you've used some footage from my video of the last ever Visionarium show in Paris. Would be nice to give proper credits when you've not even asked for permission...
I'm personnaly gutted they took out Le Visionarium. This is what started the slow death of Discoveryland which continued with the retheme of Space Mountain into the ridiculous "Mission II"...

I do miss this attraction a lot. I believe the image of Timekeeper at Tokyo Disneyland in this video is wrong. Timekeeper looked the same like at DLP at TDL, never looked like it in this video.
