Nice! I watch most all the Marvel movies, some way too many times. Not so much Spiderman but Ironman is very well done. The NASCAR cars here are still the roll over kings, they go pretty good right up until they go flying end over end. Top heavy.
Hi Brad! Yeah the Iron man movies are by far my favourites. Haha yes I’ve rolled the Dodge many times haha. This one has only had the one roll over…so far. Once you drive it over the edge, it rolls over the edge like you said lol. Fun class of cars tho!
The scoops on the front fenders weren't for mirrors those were dual purpose they covered holes cut in the top of the fender for tire clearance and to let air out from under the wheel wells.
No, those scoops on the hood were non-functional air scoops for under the fender. Their real purpose was to allow the tires to not rub the top of the fender - allegedly. The mirrors were where those intakes were for the driver - but I don't recall that setup ever to be the case in 1971 (of course I came to NASCAR later in life, but YMMV).
Nice review MP With all my old school NASCARs because the chip has lights ( got a digi track) I’ve drilled out the exhaust’s and installed a orange flashing pico sized LED, then hooked them into the brake/ taillight circuit to get that exhaust flame look Might be something you might what to have a crack at
I’m sure I can get this into the 5’s with some tire truing or upgraded tires. They are a little top heavy so you can’t really push it over the limit or it’ll trip over itself and roll. Lots of fun to drive. Thank! Once it warms up a little more out I’ll take apart more of the track to bring out to get painted. Cheers!
After the 917K the other day where I said I had an analogue one I hadn't run in ages.... I've also got two classic nascars on the same shelf. If you get a McLaren M20 next I'm going to start wondering if you've got a hidden camera in my slot shed HAHA

Hi Gene. I find the Dodge to step out a little more than this Superbird. Although it still likes to kick out. In the video I had to feather it around and I was trying to be careful on corner exits. You can see on the finale lap I got a little greedy trying to improve and almost lost it under the redbull bridge.
I see you're making good progress in getting your track painted. I was going to ask you what technique you were using but then you mentioned the Boone's slot car garage, which I've been watching too, incidentally, I realized that he's probably the best source for track painting (or just about any other DIY scenery stuff) If he's good enough for you he's good enough for me! I don't have much interest in NASCAR slot cars quite yet, but I keep watching, you might convince me to have at least two 👍🏻 I bought that Ferrari FXX-K because of you 😏 Cheers!

I was never a fun of NASCAR racing, but I have to say I’m loving these cars and now I’m watching the history of the Superbird, cool stuff! @@MPSlotCar Im going to try some of the mods on my Charger, lower it, etc.See what that does.Just lower profile front tires helped some.
