I just discovered your page tonight! I just wanted to say that this video has been one of the only "booktube" videos that I have watched through to the end in months. I love how minimally structured this was, even though it was a vlog, but your true self shines through which makes the video fill like your sitting with a friend. I also just wanted to say you are absolutely beautiful and your doggo is adorable! Also, as a book lover and now librarian, there is no such thing as too many books so don't feel guilty!! :) my partner always says that if it is something that you love and something that brings you joy and will be used, then it is money well spent.

This might be an unpopular opinion and it probably is, but I usually only buy books at library sales. It saves a ton of money and is usually a place where I can find good things. If the library has duplicates of the book, nobody's reading it, or if they just don't want it anymore, they'll put it out at a book sale for fairly cheap. My last book sale I got 10 books for $2. They were 25c a piece or 5 for $1.

Totally hear you about reading slump! In 2018 I read a grand total of ~ 18 books and in 2019 my first book read was in March! This year I’m doing better but for the last ~ two months I’ve been buying books left and right. We don’t have Half Price Books here! 😭
I don't shop for books in stores much I have not been in a Barns and Nobles store for maybe 10 + years. I love going on Amazon I have arthritis from head to toe I'm in pain all the time. I take meds but it doesn't seem to help. But standing for to long or walking long distances. But I do go on Amazon for books I do take ideas for books from friends and from critics who have read books. Books are like something that takes you on a trip to anywhere you want to be. Its like a Movie screen in your mind. That's why I love reading
if your in a reading slump find a quick book and listen to the audiobook version of it it helps so much i just did that!! I also do it with books that i don’t like but want to finish

I just finished Hook, Line and Sinker the other day! So good. I still think I liked It Happened One Summed better though. I need to check out her other books! Those are the only two I’ve read by her so far.

It's not bad to buy yourself anything when you are stressed or going through things. Honestly, I see it as a form of self-care. Even if it's just a bag of candy or a book if it makes you feel better do it. You know yourself best.
