OMG , this video brought back such fine memories from our last Switzerland trip last month. We didn't visit these three castles but next time for sure! So scenic and pretty!

Another stunning place. Crazy indeed that the wall once transected the valley! Serious entrepreneurship.

Absolutely, very clever of them! Someone we spoke to suggested it was the idea of Swiss Banks first originated as well, but I haven't investigated that any further...

Stunning scenery. Well done on their preservation efforts of such a historic site. The toll booth idea is pure genius!

Its so pretty it doesn't even look real. I really need to see this in person. Those castle walls probably have so many stories!

It's definitely worth visiting, and not too difficult to get to either - on the main train line between Switzerland and Milan :)

Great initiative by you covering these World Heritage Sites. This one took me back a few centuries, the rock cut walls and the grass walkways. Great video!

Never seen such castles in my life! Definitely need to make my way to Switzerland to see these myself.

It's definitely worth it - Switzerland is a great country! Only downside is that it's super expensive :(

Interesting background information on the tolls. This explains why there are so many castles in the the major valeys through the Alps. The Three Castles of Bellinzona is well preserved.

Haha thanks! Lots of cool stuff in the States to see as well though - I'm looking forward to when we eventually make it there!

Always nice to see your presentation of the areas you visit. The castle walls with the grass in between look very unique - Reminded me of the great wall of China for some reason!

Thanks Dave! Yeah it's a bit like that, though obviously a fair bit smaller! No Mongols around either ;)

What a great tour, crazy you couldn't leave without paying a toll. BTW I really like the audio quality of your video, what editing software do you use?

Thanks! I edit using Adobe Premiere Pro, everything is filmed on my iPhone 7 Plus and I use an external microphone when I'm speaking to camera (it makes a huge difference!).
