There are very twisted human beings around who would not just let others live life being free as you do by respecting and leaving them alone .. These are people in vehicles,just imagine what could happen to people riding a bike .. Specially a young good-looking couple .. Some people say it's safe to travel in USA alone ,I totally disagree with that comment ..I find Europe to be way more safe than USA .. Look at what's going on in America now ' All the hidden racist are out ,thanks to Trump and the hate and toxicity what comes with it . This has been around always but in hiding , Trump made it to come out and made it to be OK and made this country more dangerous to live in than before .. Travelling as you do here will be a big mistake... Sad but true... Whoever wants to do it could do it but not a wise choice .. STAY SAFE AND SAFE TRAVELS..

Start my first bike trip from Berlin to the Ostsee, with only a heavy backpack on a MTB, when my back and my shoulders were hurt so much, and a Guy, almost naked, overtakes me with his right equipped Bike, I decided to stop my Trip in Prenzlau and went back home! After getting the right equipment, and a new plan of riding the Danube bycicle road to Turkey with open ending, I failed again for more times, although right equipped! But the Fails were or are only experiences, on my whole life way, if on a bike or not! A never ending Story! Living the Moment, living in every breath! Thank you Peyman and Matilda, for your experience, bringing me through hard times sometimes, and for the connection on a higher sphere! I wish you always a happy and pleasent Road, Path or Trail! We´ll see us on the Ways:-) Thank you!

Wow...very dangerous with that busy traffic. I think the people in the cars and trucks don't expect two (slowly) bikes on the road, especiallyin winter. Protect yourself more with reflectiv jackets and signs. Respect for your adventures!
I don't understand how you still didn't get hit by the car. I was hit last week on the road with centre line. I went flying into the traffic. Lucky the driver behind was quick on the brakes. You guys are nuts riding those roads.

I have watched all your videos from Africa and I have enjoyed them all. Moving that gear about though looks exhausting but its the mundane, daily routine I enjoy watching - this is cycle touring, most of your time is spent packing and unpacking and living for your next meal (would you consider more calorific meals such as meat in the cold?).Anyway, all the hardships are worth the moments of magic that appear from nowhere. Remember on a "down mood" day that a bad day cycling is better than a good day at work, you are living the dream so good luck! A few tips for you (I am sure you probably know these already) To stop your water freezing have you considered adding a spoonful of Vodka to your water bottles? Have you considered sticking shower caps on over your socks and under your shoes to maintain heat and dryness - could also work over your helmet. Nuts and salty snacks wont freeze. Layer up, drop your cycling pace to avoid sweating so much and don't stop for long. Your neck is a super conductor so get a neck warmer that can double as a membrane to breathe through to protect your lungs in extreme cold. Be careful with winter sun in traffic.
The last thing I'd do every morning was fill a Sigg bottle with hot water and pack it in the middle of my down sleeping bag to slowly dry out remaining moisture as I travelled during the day. Better than nothing. You'll need a larger stuff sack to handle the size of the Sigg bottle in the middle but in winter it made quite a difference to dryness (plus as long as you' down bag was already fully dry) you'd have warm water for lunch which speeded up boiling. It was just a normal Sigg bottle, not the insulated hot/cold ones, so you may already carry one for water. Just be absolutely sure it doesn't leak haha.

It seems to me Paymen is suffering from the cold more than Matilda 😁 You guys rrrrreeeeally need to use more olive oil in your meals... just think of how much calories are burnt only from the cold plus riding plus building up tents etc.... Oh my I am sure its all more fun now in summer 🤣 But it just keeps showing that a situation is often as good or bad as you choose to call it. Keep it up.

We are careful, use mirror and wjen it is dark we use high visibility and we have been fine. But it is life and accidents can happen 😊
