  • This is an in depth review on the 2002 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG W210 chassis code. It is the Cheapest in the country, at least a dealership car anyway. This W210 E55 AMG has impressed me to no end and in this review, I will demonstrate why that is.

    Well there you have it ladies and gents, cheapest dealer E55 AMG in the country. As of recently, my two most favorite cars I've driven is this car and the Miata. If you would like to know more about this vehicle, I have left Cary Imports information in the description box. Thank you so much for watching, take care!
    EDIT: THIS CAR IS NOW SOLD

      I just bought the cheapest one available now from a dealership (Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch, CO), a 2001 in terrific condition with 136,000 miles. Only $6800 plus tax. It has almost no rust but it does have a leaky rear main seal, which I was aware of when I bought it, and it's work I can do. Your review describes exactly how I feel about the W210 AMG.

    You really can't beat an old Mercedes. Engineered to last, and only get better with age. The newer ones seem to be much high quality, hopefully they're returning to how they use to be.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yea this was really the last of an era this is a great pick up. The new ones are lease cars and there’s just so many electronics now that they’re simply too unreliable and I’m sure all the luxury companies are doing this on purpose. More profit by making unreliable cars. That’s why Lexus become very popular despite it not being as sexy as the Germans

    Last true proper amg. Actually built by amg rather than on the same assembly line as everything else. Naturally aspirated and mechanical suspension. Doesn't have 15 auxiliary batteries or electronically controlled brakes with an expiration date. Styled as an individual car, to represent an individual manufacturer and not to look like every other bubble on the road. Rather than a back up camera, there's this crazy concept called visibility which allows you to use your God given eyes to see what's happening. A concept erased from modern cars....using HUMAN senses rather than computer ones.

    Had one of these when I was working overseas, had a few minor electrical gremlins (comes with the territory of being an older German car I suppose), but that V8 is just glorious. Surprisingly competent on the track, though the brakes got a little cranky. Back when Benz still made those vault style doors, and I miss that NA beast.

    I have the estate version in metallic violet and it gets more attention from the 20something petrol headz than any car I have driven.
    The back brakes on old low mile cars get left for 10 years as the pads wear slower on the back.
    This contributes to the onset of spongy brakes. Brakes overhaul and flush at high pressure (30PSI+) from the reservoir.

    So just out of genuine curiosity, how do you get dealerships to allow you to review their inventory? Or I guess a better question is, how do you approach them? Do you email, call, show up?? Are most dealerships open to people videoing their cars? I personally just want to do more with my passion for cars and either start doing car reviews/tours or maybe start some sort of blog, but not sure how to approach a dealership regarding this.

    • @MeynMotorGroup
      @MeynMotorGroup  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Always show up and speak to them in person. Calling and emails, they will just ignore you because it’s such a weird request and honestly, most dealers don’t like it.
      Most are idiots and don’t understand this is just free promotion but to be fair there is the risk of you taking the car out and crashing it, the car is always safer sitting still lol
      But you have insurance and stick to brands and dealers that don’t get a lot of love but still make great cars like Kia, Hyundai, Mazda, but I did get on Cadillac and Mercedes’ good side. Used car dealers are USUALLY down too. But I promise you will get a lot more no then yes but that’s ok keep grinding

      Oh yea definitely car makers are going for this big grill design, flashy LED lights, screens tech for what? To show off. To satisfy the pathetic egos of people primarily in the luxury car segment however, “normal” people want that in their Kias and Toyotas now. People want to makes sure other people know they have the latest and greatest.
      Honestly, I kinda sort of like some of the big flashy stuff for instance the LC500 Lexus to me is gorgeous and I’ve loved that spindle grill since 2013 when it came out. It’s like the automotive equivalent of a red tie makes a statement albeit a doushy one I admit. But style is very subjective, changes from person to person

I bought mine in 2010 and since I spent about $10,000 in repairs. Mine was mistreated by the previous owners so I ended up paying for all the repairs it needed. She has been a reliable car, never let me stranded but also it was a time when I thought about getting ready of her, however I kept her and let her drained my wallet. Today she is happy at the garage waiting for a another small repair. What can I do after all she is 21 years old. I enjoy taking her for a ride and people start noticing the classic Mercedes looks which is gone now. Unfortunately the new Mercedes Benz with exception of the S class look like Hondas or Toyotas. Gone is the classic look that used mark the difference of a Mercedes Benz.
