As a British person who discovered Pakistani music about a year ago it definitely has a special place in my heart as each song takes you on such a journey. My favourite so far has to be Dam Mastam by the great Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The vocals left me speechless but the whole composition is just musical storytelling
if you want to explore more, you can always go and look at the music from his Uncle/Teacher and one of the greatest musician/vocalist of all time "Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan".
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan...Rahat’s Legendary Uncle...to me he’s the greatest thing to happen to music.
I reckon you’re gonna love him, but you also need someone to guide you through his music as most ppl just know his popular stuff and not the actual good stuff
This is a masterpiece of Pakistani twins, it's instrumental you should also listen to this th-cam.com/video/SuGol8UJodw/w-d-xo.html
@Sara Capley You should check out a couple of other picks from Coke Studio, such as Adam, Kangna, Mundari. You will love them.
The Voice of soul Nusrat fateh ali khan is one and one only try listen if yuo realy love music
That little girl brings tears to my eyes every single time I hear this song!!
Ditto!
Same
I'm astonished,
Same here,
with me!
This is not song .....this is hamad for allah
Do you understand it? Or have you seen the captions?
It is a war cry! When you take the name of God , Surrender to Him and declare a war on your limitations and write your destiny....
So beautifully explained in a nutshell 👌❣️🔥
I couldn’t have explained it better myself
Dude ,I love you for this concise yet accurate explaination
Jo bolay so nihaal
Singh is king coment
This is Pakistan's Music: amazing, Talented, Unique, versatile and Powerful.
Yes!!! I'm glad you're finally reacting to these artists, especially the little girl who has been blowing my mind for a couple of months now.
Hi, I have seen alot of your comments on Pakistani videos, if you dont mind I would like to see your channel reacting to Pakistani music
its like she is drawing millions of years of humanity - what a line! 💜
Exactly
❤
Children feel a lot more then we think they are still so pure and very open
This is nothing compared to the amount of talent you'll find in the streets of Pakistan🇵🇰. Making Pakistan proud💙
Thank you😍😍😍😍😍
Thanks....
You cant say its nothing!
True and the same goes for India. Even this piece of music is inspired from Tansen's work, Raag Darbari. Hindustani Shastriya sangeet ki hi den hain ye sab.
Bhai this is not just nothing. This girl is going places.
I think I just saw something more incredible than Dimash. Speechless!
The world has finally seen talent of Pakistan thanks to these two multinationals....nescafe and coke studio.....but this is just the tip of the ice berg
This is Sufi song. Touches your Soul. It has hidden power of truth. You feel it even though you don't know the language of the song.
This is Nescafe Basement Pakistan. Also react to Coke Studio Pakistan one of the Finest Music Platforms.
hey beth , Hu or Huwa (“He”) is a name for God in Sufism. "bol" means to speak , so bol hu means to speak the name of allah (God) and to remind yourself that he exists and he is seeing and feeling all your pain and happiness you are going through..
Nice udit
Well said. However, one additional interpretation for Hu is the expression of 'Self' or 'Soul' that was placed in a being to make it alive. When sufi chants 'Allah Hu' he or she is linking their soul to expression that validates creation. 'Bol Hu' is simply one way of asking permission to seek and when you ultimately realize the connection you are chanting 'Allah Hu'. It is indeed a very scary journey because once you loose yourself in those multiple dimensions being currently explored by string theory, the return of body is possible but your 'soul' ends up being pushed to limits which are beyond understanding of space and time continuim.
Best explanation.
@@heartartist you explained something that's very difficult to explain, many won't agree but I've heard about it a lot, I've heard of people and their experiences, sometimes it's hard to believe things until you've actually experienced them.
@@saShaheer I have also only heard about it and simply seek the meaning and hopefully the actual experience. I think Allama Iqbal has broached this subject beautifully as part of 'Reconstruction of Religious Thought in Islam'. It is indeed important to never stop seeking that ultimate meaning. However, that neither the journey nor its destination are within your own hands....
That was very different from what I usually listen to but I enjoyed it a lot. Especially that girl, she is incredible!
Her name Hadiya means gift in Arabic. She is a gift or a present from God...or from some other dimension! Hadiya is so talented. A big hello to Pakistan.
Lil girl notes always give me goosebumps. Her voice is majestic!
Raag Darbari ka kamaal
You can see Hadia’s Ustad sitting next to her playing harmonium. He is the one who polished her talent to this level.
I have listened this song for may be 1000 times and every time i listen i get goosebumps, so i decided that next time i need goosebumps i will listen this song again.
the lyrics of this song sung by little girl are so motivational...
God is telling human being that
"Whoever you are whatever you are just think about it, ponder about it
Fight your own battle/war
Make everyone amazed around you
Build your own little world
just become the one who is ignorant of materialist things around you and become divine person"
The thing I absolutely love about your channel is when you do reactions and analysis on music that isn't in the mainstream already. Not only is it a breath of fresh air in general, it introduces your audience to new music they may not have known exists, and may end up loving. That's what you've done for me today with this video, so thank you.
My country Pakistan is filled with these sorts of pridious songs if you could understand it you won't leave without crying at all
This is super amazing...basically this genre is sufi under semi classical...Sufi is all about worship.♥️🙏
You were right Beth! There was something old and primal about how she sang. Also her fluidity through all the registers was breathtaking.
The little lady also had so much maturity in her choices of when to come in on the final repititions of the refrain. Advanced techniques (major and minor notes, melisma, runs, dynamics) just flowing out of her!
This seeking mix of Arabic and Indian cultural singing styles do not seem to separate between the registers so they just sing!
It seems to be more about the feeling and the communication of the meaning than about getting stuck trying to transition the registers. I say this without having knowledge of their actual vocal training methodologies.
@@TheSeeking2know If you really wanna know what this music is, take this advice and try it this way.
Go to an open field or mountain top at midnight in stars and no noises around, put on the headphone, play the song at high volume and do this: Clean you heart and mind, start recalling your creator, his giveness, his love to you and feel the music, lyrics and voice than. If you get to understand a bit, your life will change.
Goosebumps with tears won't stop.
This is the Sufi music, inspired from Fakiri Culture not Indian or Arabs.
Whose Johnous she mentioning?
The wordings that you used to describe the child and her performance were beautiful... you summed her up in this one sentence, "drawing emotions from millions of years of humanity".
I have watched 10s of reactions to this song, i would say your reaction simply matches the song itself.
A natural, genuine reaction.
Proud Scottish Pakistani here! She's grown up and matured so well with her voice.. listen to chaap tilak if you haven't already.. you'll be equally blown away
I loved how you can feel the meaning of the lyrics just with sounds and music even you dont know the words. "there is soul into it" and "she is drawing emotion out of millions of years of humanity" these comments were right on in-sync with lyrics. you are a great listner.
So true!! She is drawing emotions from millions of years .... well put 👍🏻
This girl has a natural singing ability which has been highlighted by her teacher. Inshallah she will go on to become the best singer.
Hi i would like to thank you for doing all these different types of genres i really enjoyed it would never thought of hearing this
This song kills me everytime.. that girl 😵 bless you..
The beauty of Pakistani music is the perfect fusion of metaphoric poetry rich with mystic connotation and the blend of classical, semi classical music coming together with the modern music, making it profoundly beautiful and beautifully profound
I love how she doesn't understand the words, but just through the music and the singing, she can feel that this song has soul!!! Truly, this is one of the best songs vocally and musically, and the lyrics make this song all the more special because of its spirituality!!❤️❤️
What she said the calm before the storm exactly matched❤️
This girl make me cry every time listen to it 😭.
Pmsing but this girl makes me tear up so hardcore
Its not the girl, listen to Indian Classical raagas and youll see how music can bring out emotions you never knew you could experience.
@@samayajhanker5150 will do! Any recommendations?
@@jemadamson2715 she is just a jealous person she is commenting on every foreign appreciating pakistani music ya know she is indian ofc she does not want anyone to appreciate pakistani music lmao and she is forcing everyone to listen to indian music believe me it is trash btw thankyou so much for appreciating our music love and respect from pakistan :)
@@samayajhanker5150 Girl you're going around making negative comments about this song, the girl and Pakistan/Sufi music.
I suggest you get a life and stop embarrassing yourself in each post you make.
Hadiya Hashmi, Pakistani girl, singing at 8 years old will forever give me goosebumps and make my heart happy ❤ Adnan and Soch the band are incredible ❤

Love World Music, specially when like here, musicians from very different cultures work together. Here it might be totally exotic for us Europeans, since it's a mix of arabic and indian, but when you hear Celtic or Nordic singers collaborate with african, arabic or asian musicians, it always give goose bumps.
Hiya! This is actually from Pakistan :)

"Bol Hu" is a Sufi song by band "Soch", featuring 8yr old prodigy Hadiya Hashmi.
The chills that you are experiencing while listening to the song, is the testament of the truth and words being sung in the Sufi Song.
Here is the translation of the Song:
Say HU
Paint yourself with colours within
find a companion within
Make a small world for yourself
be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy.
Say, just HU (God)*
Keep dreaming with empty eyes
Do what your heart says but listen to everyone
With broken breaths, keep fighting, keep moving forward
piece by piece keep collecting your fate.
When soul and body says HU
Even the summer hot dry wind feels pleasant and cold
Shed tears while prostrating
Be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy
[leave all your worries behind].
Say HU!
In prostration why think of someone else
Why is your heart broken and in pain
Why are you? Why you exist? Contemplate!
Fight the war within
Stun everyone around you
Make a small world for yourself
Be a wanderer in spiritual ecstasy
[leave all your worries behind]
Say, HU.
ALLAH HU!
Highlighting some concepts of terms used in the Song for the Non-Muslims audience.
In Sufi Music the "Hu" is reference to God / Allah
Companion Within: In Muslim tradition God is everywhere, especially inside of our hearts. When there is no one around to help you … reach out to God in your heart.
Spirituality: The West has explored different type of spirituality. However, very few have explored spirituality that exist in Islam. This is when a human tries to connect with God by praising him. The Nirvana of Islamic spirituality is when both your Soul and Body starts saying Hu.
Prostrating: Muslim Prostrate while praying i.e. put their heads on the earth in humility and to rid themselves from Ego and praise God to get closer him. If you shed tears during this prostration. One will find true happiness. This war between Ego (selfishness) and Humility before God is the true struggle of Humans. If one conquers his Ego, only then can one find peace within himself and enjoy the spiritual ecstasy.
Thank you 💗✨
Great reactions
That is a spiritual song, Pakistani singers are famous for singing from core of their heart instead of just mouth. Kindly turn on captions on the original song to know lyrics.

Really very nice Hadia
I like this 👌👌 this song
Incredible! Learned to appreciate Middle Eastern music while stationed in Bahrain. Funny thing was I didn't realize this until I'd left and missed that sound. Gypsy Kings kind of have some of this sound incorporated into their music.
Hiya! This is South Asian music, specifically from Pakistan :)
When i bore or alone i listened this song special little girl...
I can't say ..... Now words what i feel ..... It connect with God .. sorry if I wrong.. but really unbelievable
