There's captions in English but it's just gobbledygook - there are words but not necessarily the words he says and even if they are the words he says they don't string together to make sense.
I've revisited this video, and more specifically the imfamous hedge scene more times than I'd care to admit. The fact the most understandable thing he said during 2 seasons was "Jesus fucking Christ" is just unparalled humour. This season helped me through some dark times of late, cheers for sharing and god bless. x
I've discovered that if I play this video in one room and walk into another room, I am able to pick up 2 words out of every 25 that Gerald speaks. And i'm pretty sure this man is speaking volumes of wisdom.
In my mind the old pictures scene continued further to his earlier childhood photos - and he's rocking the same moustache high school, kindergarten... A mumbling mustachioed toddler riding a mini pedal-driven tractor 😂
I live in deepest Dorset. Can anybody hereabouts guess what these two farmers that I overheard in my local are saying? “Where’s he to?” “He’s up icky ose” “Is um?” “Arr”
This is one of the best series ever, all characters in it are so funny and the best thing natural. And Jeremy is doing his best to bring farming into the limelight.
Most of the time he's completely unintelligible and then just out of nowhere something completely intelligible comes out of his mouth and you are like wait what? 😂
I quote Blazing Saddles “I’m particularly happy these young children we here to hear the words of Gabby Johnson, because not only was it authentic frontier gibberish, it expressed a courage often not found in this modern day” Gabby Johnson’s response: Aradaghugg
Gerald is easier to understand when he’s drinking than when he’s not 😂
If you want to keep a secret ....... tell Gerald
LOL
The computer to crack Gerald's secrets has been around for nearly a decade.
underrated comment of the century
I'd pay good money to see G in a police interview. Bet they'd send him home after five minutes 🤣🤣🤣
Lol 😂😂😂😂
And he will NOT leave!
He'd take one look at the too detectives and go ... 'Jesus fuckin Christ'
They'd understand him if it's local and he'd get questioned by an older police officer.
@@thatchoirgirl94 I'd forgotten how funny this was 🤣🤣
Clarkson: 'wise words' 😂😂
Gerald is a national treasure.
Absolutely!
The kind of treasure the nation regularly finds in the toilet bowl
@@matthewtaylor7355 Now now
need more gerald
@SaintWill i agree with gerald
Gerald just waffles on about any old stuff and I can't understand a word but I can honestly say he makes me laugh so hard what a fella 🤣
You don't speak West County
He speaks a lot of sense if you understand his accent.
Clarkson looks such a knob in his giant tractor
@@GoogleUser-yj1wy well he saved money buying this tractor
And if he gets equipment for the size of farm and tractor he would save more
I never understood a word you've just said🤣🤣🤣🤣
I watch it with subtitles in a foreign language, whenever Gerald speaks there’s no subtitle, funny how even translators have given up 😂
Hahahaha😂
Should've just grabbed Kaleb, translate from him, then get someone from deep in rural to do your subtitles
There's captions in English but it's just gobbledygook - there are words but not necessarily the words he says and even if they are the words he says they don't string together to make sense.
Gerald is the head of security, that's why everything he says on camera is encrypted
Gerald yelling into the walkie talkie right in front of Jeremy is the funniest thing I've ever seen in my life
always cracks me up when Jeremy calls him G-DOG
I want Gerald as my sat Nav voice.
You will get lost 😂
He reminds me of that village in hot fuss where they have to translate through 3 people to understand 😭😭🤣
Yes always thought that and was laughing kaleb kinda like the translator sometimes
"I 'as fer thissun!"
I can understand every word Gerald says after I've had about 7 pints
🤣
Of Hawkstones lager I hope 😊
Maybe that's his natural state, speach wise at least.
Took a fat J for me, but ya I can understand him fine now.
Gerald is the only one in history to make more sense when hes been drinking. haha
No it's actually very common. Statistically 1/10 people globally are more easier to understand when they are drunk
@@borris3768 me honestly my english gets better when i am drunk
My favourite bit was when he said [intelligible]
Same here 😂
Gerald had a conversation with cancer and cancer gave up completely.
He's been diagnosed with prostate cancer sadly .
@@stumetallicafan in the last episode he said he was all clear
@@stumetallicafanThat’s the point
"Wise words"🤣
Clarkson is a genius when it comes to cast etc
Jezza getting told over over the radio while he is standing right in front of him
we need a Gerald, Caleb Grand Tour special across the Sahara, i can just imagine May and Hammond having to share a tent with them
A Clarkson's Farm Grand Tour crossover would be amazing.
Great idea !
Let's make it farm vehicles only as well
That sounds incredible but it’s also really unlikely
no caleb. hes too punchable
"well if you was a pigeon that would well, er ewer, cutting carpet!"
Gerald is adorable
I love to see, how attached Jeremy has become to these two lads. Who wants nothing more than to help!
Best show for a long long time .... bravo clarkson
The man. The legend, The *incomprehensible* of Clarksons *incomprehensible*
I must admit, I’ve learned his lingo and I now understand every word 🤣. Love the pictures in the pub - what an absolute dude.
If you only knew him, He's as genuine as they come.
Simply a natural legend 👍
For geralds defence: A session beer is a beer with less alcohol
I get that. I used to prefer to drink more for longer rather than get bladdered in 3.
Good old Gerald, everyone needs a friend like Gerald in our lives.
He knows what he means . And we all agree 👍 💯 🙌 👌
lol
The great understanding between Gerald and Clarkson is my favourite part.
What I would do to sit down and get absolutely trollied with Gerald. He is the best example of an English country side gentleman.
God bless this man. Hope he's well
The 'G -Dog" love him here in the states also!!#1 ..experienced beer taster-world class!! (pickled onions)
Wishing Gerald all the best

I'm going to try listening to Gerald whilst drunk....I think he'll make perfect sense !! Great character 🙂
We love Gerald
Loving the accents. 😀 Jeremy looks totally lost. Cheers from Australia. I've watched this 4 times now.😅
Gerald quotes..."if you was a pigeon that cut it carpet" or something lol....(yeah I have no idea what it means either) 😂😂
In my mind the old pictures scene continued further to his earlier childhood photos - and he's rocking the same moustache high school, kindergarten... A mumbling mustachioed toddler riding a mini pedal-driven tractor 😂
Gerald is class
Love Gerald, I seriously cannot understand a word he says.
Amateur. I’m EASILY able to understand every 20th word or so.
Gerald is like a british Boomhauer
Get Gerald in to Parliment
Would talk more sense than any of those liars.
Totally agree with all he said, whatever it was.
If the wind is just right and you're really calm, you can understand almost every word.
The big G dog is the MAN! 💪🏻😂
I feel like I'm starting to understand him more and more.
Gerald is awesome 😂😂😂 and his words of wisdom omg(if one can even understand)😂😂😂❤❤❤ way above my pay grade 😂😂
If they get another farming award they should have Gerald give the acceptance speech.
2:50 A few satisfied lip smacks then a quiet "mmm" then the look on Jeremy's face like "Yess Gerald, and!?" 😂
Everyone listens but no-one understands. Makes the show
I could watch these 3 everyday lol
1:13 - 1:40 Julius Caesar's first chat with an ancient Briton 55 BC
Gerald should get a job in the bbc they love bit of diversity
1:04 I think Pigeon's would have a hard time cutting a carpet.
He makes perfect sense, very wise words sir!
I speak English as a first language, and have done for over 40 years.
Unfortunately I haven’t got a bloody clue what on earth Gerald is talking about.
I AM English, and can't understand him 😂
At 5:36 I thought Gerald’s wife was going to speak exactly like him , like something out of the vicar of dibley .
Hah, what does he say about if you was a pigeon you'd be cutting carpet??? Lol, legend.
Gerald and Ozzy conversation would be legendary
I would love to buy this guy a few beers.
Front on to the narrow - never in the history of words has this been said - Gerald is a legend.
The world needs more of Gerald.
I love big g😂😂😂😂 I talk fast and people starting to say he is my father 😂
Gerald makes as much sense when he speaks on the radio as Clarkson does when he thinks.
It's great hearing Gerald. He is a true character.
Now I know where Jezza is getting that big belly from ….his own beer 😊
He’s brilliant 👍
I’m understanding about 1 outta 7 words from this guy lol
Football is gallantry, camaraderie, and fraternity combined
Geralds in the running for the Speaker of the House.
He’s like the farmer from Hot Fuzz
I can’t stop thinking of hot fuzz
On the bucket list! Having a bev with the best! That is the G-Dog ❤
I live in deepest Dorset. Can anybody hereabouts guess what these two farmers that I overheard in my local are saying?
“Where’s he to?”
“He’s up icky ose”

What we need is a Gerald & Boris Johnson talk show
I know I understand Gerald perfectly somehow 😂
gotta protect the G-Dog at all times
"A pigeon cutting carpet" did I hear?😂
i loved farmwork in aus.. and i think that gerald is a genius
What an absolute legend!
He's just like that farmer in Hot Fuzz. You need two translators to understand him.
Gerald reminds me of that guy from the film waterboy 😂😂
These country folk stick together.
Gerald should do stand up or have his own show. Reminds me of Gabby Johnson in blazing saddles 😅
This is one of the best series ever, all characters in it are so funny and the best thing natural. And Jeremy is doing his best to bring farming into the limelight.
Gerald looks like he started drinking pints in his pram.
The bit in the beginning is so funny, he was so disappointed
I like a session beer cuz I like a lot of pints 🤣💪🏻
Most of the time he's completely unintelligible and then just out of nowhere something completely intelligible comes out of his mouth and you are like wait what? 😂
Proud to say I'm cultured enough to understand at least 55 percent of Gerald's speech
Like watching the late Benny Hill driving the tractor, drinking beer while working on a farm with machinery, accident waiting to happen.
Gerald is kind of the Don Vito of this show haha
I didn't realise that the Wurzels had their supporters in Oxfordshire, where I live
I've translated what Gerald was saying. It was something about pigeons.
I quote Blazing Saddles
