There's no way I'd get a Pimax Crystal anytime soon. So many new features and tech = so much to go wrong on both hardware and software side. Only if it gets favorable reviews after being out for several months would I consider it. Even then, I just don't trust Chinese quality control at all with smaller companies like Pimax. Why do you think their older products are such an unreliable hit and miss mess? If they had Meta levels quality control then it would be a different story, but then it would probably be the price of a Varjo.
Yeah it could be incredible but they will have to prove themselves first. I do think the form factor could look dated very quickly as well if the rest of the industry pushes towards the small and sleek style. But I very much want to see it in action.

They are stopping at the MRTV headquarters on their roadshow in about 2 weeks so we should get a glimpse of the headset then. I just got my 4090 and I am dying to buy another headset. I've been waiting forever for the perfect headset but came to realize that vr is just not there yet and that I will probably have to get 2 to do what I want ( 1 for standup games and 1 for sims).
Ah amazing, how have you found the 4090 so far? I’ve resisted currently in the hopes that AMD will force a price drop but Everytime I fire up ACC my patience is tested.
@@RushReality I only tested with DR2 and AMS2 so far. I can run DR2 on Max settings at 90 hz on my Q2 with 10 -30% headroom day or night depending on the stage. AMS2 I can run every maxed out also with some headroom in daytime. Night and rain has no headroom and if you have more then 20 I possibly loose a few frames on the start. I would say it's a 100% increase in performance coming from my 3080 so yeah I'm impressed. I will try ACC when I get a chance but I know that I won't be able to run it at max settings for sure. HamVR has some pretty good benchmarks on all the most popular sims if your interested.
