York Compressor Megger Test Fail

Tested and found the compressor had shorted to ground, this did nto come as a surprise as the customer reported the unit had become increasingly noisy lately. I suspect either the motor locked up and burnt the insulation on the windings or the winding suffered mechanical damage from the broken internal parts.
This system is around eighteen years old so has lasted well. I actually installed this when it was new at another site so i was there when it first ran and was there to see when it would run no more.

Thanks Rob! I always like to be 100% sure the compressor is faulty as its such an expensive part. The meter is made by a company called 'Megger' its ip54 rated so i don't have to worry about damp when working in dairies etc.
