This is divine. Khansaheb was the best sitarist of my time; heard him many times and spent two days in his uplifting company.

I am fascinated by the gayaki style of Sitar playing by Ustadji, it's an eternal pleasure.

Beautiful rendition! Wish he had spent more time on Aalap -- the komal gandhar & komal dhaivat aandolan sound so melodious on a sitar!

I just found out from a comment by Balakrishna Sharma "You can see late Sh Bhawani Singh ji ex Maharaja of Jaipur sitting in front row and the setting is inside hall of city palace Jaipur. So I believe this should be city palace Jaipur."

Ziggy Bertoli this is my father GYAN SETHs programme, he is the producer and director you have no right to post it on your channel. This has a copyright issue yoi have not even had the decency to give him credit pleas take it off now ,

@@tanyasethsoota Ma'am, find a better hobby than searching people up on TH-cam who post clips from your dad's show so you can berate them. I see you've done this to other channels as well. (Might I suggest taking up crocheting?)
Nothing on my channel is monetized. I'm not making a single cent off this. If the rights-holders to the show or Vilayat Khan's estate wish to place ads on this video and collect 100% of the revenue? Be my guest.
There's no DVDs of this performance available, to my knowledge. Even if there were, they'd no doubt be long out of print by 2021. I'm not potentially taking revenue away from anyone by posting this.
The rights-holders to this show haven't uploaded this clip anywhere. This is the only way for people to view this footage, ergo, I declare it fair game. This video is 'information', all information deserves to be shared with the public. Whether it's a musical performance that was aired once on TV, an unreleased arcade game that never got brought to market, a nearly-complete book that Philip K. Dick was working on before he died, etc.? It deserves to be made available to every human on the planet, copyright law be damned. Call me an extremist.
If you wish to deprive people of the opportunity to enjoy a magnificent rendition of Darbari by a once-in-a-lifetime talent such as maestro Khan, then that's _your_ malfunction. I can't relate.

@@davidcopernicuseuclidziggy699 you are such a rude person maybe you Crochet in your free time yes anyone who plagiarises will be told. It’s not about revenue it’s your attitude you were obviously not taught how to behave. We don’t have to prove anything to you a dead man cannot defend himself so his children will you cannot take that away from me. And you claim to know or understand Indian classical music ??. If you did you would be closer to God you are far away from it . It is not your job right or destiny to promote my fathers work my mother is alive and is doing the same we don’t need you you haven’t had the courtesy to give him credit anywhere you only know how to be rude arrogant and are full of crap.
