Yes! You are both wonderful young women, loved and raised by wonderful parents, adored by amazing grandparents, and admired by all who know you and read your column! You are absolutely right to have realized these things at such young ages. You will always be admired for having great common sense and the love you both have for your parents and grandparents!

I totally agree, especially Katie. OMG!! ❤ Oh, sorry bout that. Just couldn't help myself. I wish you girls and family would come to the Barnyard Venue in Sharpsburg, KY. They put on concerts, have comedians, such as Larry the Cable Guy and may even host some great singers/pickers just like you 2. Its a long drive for you, but I know Bath County, KY would love to have you. Please, Katie,...err, I mean, Come on over, Ladies. 😉 GOD Bless.

I am so proud of you girls!! I am a retired pediatric nurse who was born here in Southern Appalachia, (Tennessee side of the hill) and seeing your values makes me know that my own values are not disappearing in today's world as long as there are young people like you to continue our way of life. I can happily say that my daughter, who is a few years older than you girls is very similar to you in beliefs and her modesty, kindness and general values. Never change, and know the world is better for you being in in and "keeping the faith" so to speak, both literally and as one aspect of your overall good core value system. ❤❤❤❤❤

I agree 100%...I try to just smile, someone thanked me for smiling and "seeing" them once and that was so powerful to hear that. For me I'm a Christian and I do smile, say hello, open doors...little things make a huge impact I learned that day. I almost cried thinking someone felt like they were ignored or not seen...😢 it's so wonderful to see your generation setting good examples ❤❤❤ God bless you!

I completely relate, I’m not much older than you both and struggled with “people pleasing” and always feeling out of place. I finally came to terms with myself, accepted the way I was (old values, old soul, wearing “granny” clothes, introvert) and stopped letting people influence me in the wrong ways. I wish I had more friends like you both when I was younger :)

I am southern and grew up in the northern suburbs of Atlanta. I always knew who I was and would walk away from anything I felt uncomfortable with. I’m still that way and I’m 71 years old. This is exactly the reason I'm so drawn to your channel. My parents came from a very small town in the mountains of Calabria, Italy. Myself and my 6 sibblings, we grew up with a love of and closeness to God, family, the land, and our origins. We're all 'old souls' so-to-speak. It's amazing that no matter where the mountain may be in the world, the values and morals of the people of the mountains are shared. Thank you for being examples of wholesome young women who freely let the light of Christ shine through them🙏❤.

I'm in my 50's and can totally relate to what you're saying. My whole life I've always lived " outside the box" and I'm happy. I would much rather live according to the Bible than how the world says I should. I love spending time alone as well as with my family. There is so much peace and contentment when you live your life how you want to rather than trying to fit in to what others expect from you.

When Katie started to cry -- I honestly felt emotional through this whole video. My heart breaks for not only young people not taught certain values, but even people my age, 40, who aren't connected to even the most basic of old ways. I may not be communicating my thoughts very clearly, but it just means a lot to me. A lot. Of course people need God more than anything, but I just really wish I could direct young girls to your channel, too. I just want young women (everyone really) to be exposed to something GOOD. Something true. There is such a strong force tempting them towards such empty, fruitless things. And my gosh, don't get me wrong -- I have SO much for learn myself!

I have learned that anything in my past that bothers me and I am embarrassed or feel shame, that I need to sit with The Lord and have Him guide me to where I still need to repent from something. If I haven't repented at all for the specific incident, I will do that then. Spill out to Jesus how wrong I had been and He comforts me.

You girls are truly old souls, that's why I love your channel. Something funny that happen to me the other day. I got into a stand off at the gas station. I was opening the door and saw an older gentleman coming across the parking lot. I stopped with the door open waiting for him. He would not go in, say thank you but you are a lady and you must go first, I said you are older than me, you must go first. This went on for about 10 minutes. So I broke down and went in. I paid for my gas, turned around and he was waiting for me so he could open the door for me. We ended up laughing and giving each other a hug saying God bless you to each other. I is little things like this and you family that gives me Hope. XOXO

You girls are so much like me...the way I grew up. My girls are also like this. I have had people tell me how precious they are too. My girls were sitting in a room with other kids and some adults came in to sit down. My girls were the only ones who got up to give their seats to the adults. I was so proud of them, but sad that other kids weren't taught to give their seat to an elder. I guess, growing up in the South, that we were taught to respect our elders. It is something that doesn't happen as often anymore.

To see you standing by your convictions is a blessing and hope for the world. I was always an old sole and wore my grandmother's clothes to school even which would set a new trend--lol Never meant that to happen...lol But if people will follow you and wear the same shirt, just imagine if they followed Jesus in the same way after seeing your lives and the way you live. Actions do speak louder than words, and I have had several people turn to the lord after seeing him in my life. I was the one blessed in seeing that. Your character speaks volumes if you still do the right thing when noone is watching. Never quit being you, you both are beautiful! Praying for you all during this time. Hugs Girls❤

One of the reasons I love your channel is because of the values you hold dearly. I too didn’t have close friends in school. I grew up differently and didn’t even have a phone like they did. Yesterday a gentleman rushed past to open a door for me. Then I got to the curb to cross to the car and a lady came over and gave me her arm to step from the curb. This made my day. All this to say that you make people's day. I love you and your values. Godly people do that.

I think you two have also been raised right, which makes a huge difference in how you are now as adults. That's not to say that everyone who has a hard childhood can just act any way they want. We all have a responsibility to build our own character and behave in an honorable way. But the number one thing is faith. You girls have made it through your childhood and teen years when you're most susceptible to peer pressure to act immorally and behave crudely. God sees you and He pleased! 💕

I appreciate those words. I was raised in church and with the same morals. I also struggled with not fitting in . As I was listening to what yuns were saying, this verse in Jeremiah 6:16 came to my mind..."Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls."

I absolutely love the two of you!! You are amazing! There needs to be tons more like you in this world! Please keep up with it is that you’re doing. Your outreach is outstanding. I am a school teacher of six graders, and I understand deeply, the need for people to share the kindness, and to share love for others, and to instill in the younger ones how to have these values as well. Understand that it’s OK to be different. Thank you for what you do! ❤

You young ladies are just so awesome! I agree 110% with everything you've said. It's so refreshing to see people your age with such wonderful values, it's not as common as it used to be, as you stated people now a days open their mouths and such filth comes out..and it's people of all ages, the youth are not taught these values anymore and it's a shame. I know one thing you 2 are where it's at! I know that Matt and Tipper have raised 2 beautiful Godly girls and they have got to be so proud of you both! Amen and amen!!

im 31 and feel the same way you girls do. im called an old soul, old lady, granny, etc. i love the ways of our mountains. open doors for people with full hands, thank a vet for their service, get up and give the last seat to the elderly, wantin to cook at home (bc its better) vs goin out to eat, growin and preservin a garden, hangin clothes out on the line.. i could go on for a good while.. i guess i said all that bc yall are like a life line to me bc nobody up in wv seems like they care of the mountain ways except the elderly so my friend circle is extremely small.
anyway, please keep doing what youre doing. your not just makin videos, youve created a community for those of us who wont compromise on our character, morals, and values, just to have friends.
    short story, long.. thank you.

Beautifully said. I am a "country girl" always have been. My sons who are grown now and I love being in the country, seeing all the trees, the pond, the flowers and hearing the birds ...just such a peace. I am proud of you two. I love watching and listening to you. Much love from my house to yours.

Katie, that was really brave revealing the challenges and the effects of growing up with values. You girls are a breath of fresh air. I'm a follower of you channel for this very reason. I live in New Zealand and we also are plagued by the same issues as the rest of the world. Often I find myself feeling overwhelmed by the selfish, me first attitude of the modern world and then a notification pops up announcing a new video from you girls. It may be a walk in your garden, picking stones out of the creek or sharing lifes more difficult matters such as your grandmother's health ... the end result is always uplifting.
You girls are a credit to your parents and as a parent I know how absolutely proud they must be of you both.
Being true to yourselves only works if you have a reason and the courage to back it up - you both have them in abundance. Please, never change ☺️

My great uncle had a phrase “ I like you, I love you, God bless you, See you in the morning!” I lived with him for a while and took care of him, in his old cabin house. I was in transition and he needed help. It was a precious time.

You girls are a treasure. Never give up your morals and values in an attempt to impress someone else. In the end you will only make yourself unhappy and are not likely to achieve the goal anyway. True friends will accept you for who you are and be happy in knowing you for who you are. None of us are perfect and we all stumble at times. Just use that moral compass to get back on the right path. God is very forgiving if we ask and are truthful in asking. He knows what is in our hearts. Your videos are a breath of fresh air in the sea of turmoil in social media. If we all just focus on doing what we know is right the rewards will be many.

🤗 I so appreciate that you share your hearts and God's love through your videos! It really makes a difference; people are watching and I pray there are some out there watching who don't know the love of the Lord yet, that they can catch it here! This is ministry, and I'm glad you're doing what you do. Keep being and saying what the world needs to see and hear.💖

I have so much respect for you
girls for sticking with your beliefs. I think it is harder for young people to stand up sometimes. I can totally relate. My grandparents raised me. So I have always been old fashion and didn’t feel like I fit in school. I also raised my children to be old fashion, and told them that if they were criticized for being old-fashioned, to consider that a complement. They are very successful adults, so I think the Lord for guiding me as a parent.

Another comment… I was raised the same. So proud your parents and grandparents raised you both in strong Christian values! My problem is that I am this way and grew up thinking everyone was like my family. When I went to college, I became enlightened concerning how rare values & morals are. At age 61 I have few folks whose character is sterling! Blessings 🌼
