I was raised by a liberal mother and I got pregnant at 15 and gave birth to my first daughter at 16. My mom wanted me to have an abortion( I wasn’t religious but I felt I should take responsibility for my actions) and thankfully I chose to have my daughter. She grew up to be very successful.
I truly believe that it’s not always in our time but it’s God’s plan.

You are not alone. I have my own pity parties. After the party dies down, I remember I am not alone, God is with me. I try to see one positive thing going on in my life to anchor myself to get over the waves of self-pity. They always pass.
I pray for those who have it worse than I do, knowing some people give in to the darkness and don’t ask for God’s help.

I’ve been dealing with something like this since my mom’s stroke a few months back. It’s hard to understand why things happens to good people.

Katie God bless you! I needed to hear this. I was feeling sorry for myself because Thanksgiving was a huge disappointment this year and sadly my kids let me down. But there are far worse things in life and when I think about suffering this is but a light affliction compared to what Jesus suffered for humanity to save all who believe in Him. Katie my heart goes out to you and I respect you for taking responsibility no matter how scared you are. You are a wonderful young lady and you helped me and all who have an ear to listen. I was pregnant as a teenager and unwed . My father dropped me off on the curb at the hospital to deliver my baby all on my own. I felt the presence of God with me and it was not a difficult delivery at all...... I suffered beyond imagination prior to that. I suffered due to the rejection by the birth father, the lack of support from my parents and siblings and the hostility and cruelty I suffered from the public at large. This was in the late 1960's. A neighbor saw me talking to her teenage daughter and chased me down the street when I was 8 months pregnant . She beat me on the back with a broom. Of course in today's time she would be arrested and jailed. But in my suffering I was made stronger and became closer to the lord. I became a devout Christian . The Father drew me closer to Him. All in all, my greatest suffering occurred due to my lack of forgiveness towards my baby's father, and all the people who abused me during my adolescence years. I forgive now because He forgave me. Truth be told, I still don't like The baby's father. But I let it go. He was only a brief presence in her life during her early childhood. Katie, I hear you, I see you, and I understand.

I absolutely agree Katie. In my painful experiences, God highlighted a verse to me to be my 'lfe verse'. Romans 8:28 All things work together for good to those who love God and who are the chosen according to God's purpose. ❤
My very favorite verse ever since my husband died suddenly over 5 years after over 53 years of marriage. Romans 8:28 sustains me time and time again. Diane in NC

Katie, I don't know if you remember when I met you at the Hendersonville book signing, I told you that you missed your calling. When you talk about God, you have so much passion, that comes from a real love for our wonderful Savior. I believe that God has amazing things for your future. We definitely , as Christians grow closer to God during our trials, but I'm never sorry, because I always come out stronger. I love feeling God's presence. Whatever it takes to get to Heaven, I'm willing to go through it. Much love to you, my sister in Christ.

When we have suffering in our lives and we all do because this is no longer the garden of Eden, we can either curse God and blame Him or pick up OUR cross and follow Christ. Remember how much Jesus suffered for us. Why would we think that we should not suffer as well?

Yes… the most recent time was 3 weeks ago … Sunday morning I’d done my prayer journaling before church and what I wrote in my War Journal about a personal situation… I’d asked God for answers and boom … my pastor said the words on the stage and my mouth just fell open and boy did I start thanking God!

My daughter got pregnant in her twenties felt many of the feelings you are going through. Sometimes I feel like you have a sadness or worry about the “what if” question we ask ourselves as we go through those scary and unsure moments of what will be. At times, when I am watching your videos,I wish I could reach out just hug you.
Keep doing what your doing, talk to God and he will guide you and give strength.

So close to home right now. My niece’s family was hit head on by a drunk driver last Saturday. Killed my nephew in law, my niece has several injuries but can heal from them. Their oldest son broke his leg and the other three children had cuts and scrapes. Their hearts are broken right now but we’ve seen God’s hands upon them. Angels have surrounded them during this season of mourning.

Thank you. I needed to hear this today. I have been in troubled waters for the past few days... " Old Ghost" have been haunting me. It seems just when I feel close and safe with God and my life... this same ugliness keeps popping in as a constant reminder how quick things can be ripped away from me. Although I don't understand why it keeps occurring... Im sure there is something Im to learn here.

Katie, I love your no nonsense approach to this message you shared with us. I have had a lonely day today & your wise message has helped me so much. I was finally baptized at 71 yrs old (5 mos ago) and recently have been feeling like I’m not good enough for God & have not progressed in the word as I think I should have. Please pray for me as I struggle, not in faith, but to correct habits etc in my life.

Your thoughts on suffering were so heartfelt and sincere. It was so moving to listen to how you’ve been drawn closer to the Lord as you are facing some uncertainty. But know this, our omnipotent, omnipresent, and omniscient God has you as the apple of his eye, his hand is upon you, and he will be in front of, beside, behind, above, below, and in you working out his plan for your life so that HE will be glorified!! Isn’t that amazing! He will turn suffering into joy so that HE might be praised. He is hiding you under the shelter of his wing!❤

Tempered steel is subjected to a process of blistering heat, which (if steel had feelings) would be absolute agony. But once it cools, it's stronger than ever. Suffering is a lot like that, and after you get through this, Katie, you'll be stronger than ever. It's really important, too, because great mothers are always strong women. Your baby will have the most wonderful role models in his life, with your entire family to support him, but most of all, he will have the strongest, wisest , kindest mother to guide and protect him. Hang in there, darlin'; you're doing just fine.

She brought me dried sage and a Chinese herb (name escapes me) for tea, from her garden in the central coast. She's in a current struggle to get by. However, i believe, this suffering is building character. Love you, Katie, like i love my own. God be with you.

Thank you for hearing and obeying the Holy Spirit's leading for you to share this and who also gave you the words that would reach the ears & hearts of those who needed this encouraging message. You were an instrument of sharing His love and caring for His children who are in situations causing them anxiety or pain and yes, suffering - those who are feeling life has become 'undone' for them and they are feeling hopeless. And you, sweet Katie, are also an 'instrument' of something beautiful that He has planned for your life by His choosing you to be the mother of this special little boy to be. I love this video Katie I find myself very Christian and very deep belief in God I don’t understand the Bible because sometimes I feel that band wrote the Bible and not God my faith is very strong when I was younger I wanted to be a nun I have a child that is suffering very bad past year and a half and I pray continuously and he’s not getting better so I’m not gonna lie that sometimes I don’t get angry and wonder why he’s taking his medicine he just doesn’t understand but I really enjoyed this video and find it very blessing and I always believe that we all have to suffer and carry across this world to have a better after life I continue to pray for you and your family and your grandma as I pray for everyone else in the world whether they’re homeless or six and all the animals of the world I pray for the world in completion many blessings to you and your family and thank you so much for sharing I’m writing this as I cry🙏❤️🤗

A lot in our life has fallen apart and we are no longer able to give our children the life we were hoping for. Katie, I appreciate your openness about your personal situation and your understanding of the Bible. . How would we make it through life without suffering. Jesus told us pointedly, without holding back, “ In this world you WILL, have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 Every young woman who has faced the scary day that they found out they were pregnant and would not have the comfort of a loving husband to share the experience with understands the suffering you describe. Never could you have imagined yourself being in this situation. Praise God you are not 16 and so young you cannot see a way to a future at this moment. You are an educated, mature young woman surrounded by a close, loving, supportive family. You know they will walk with you every step of the way. Jesus knows your joy and your sorrow in this situation. God’s promises are true and are yours to embrace. Cry your tears when certain things overwhelm you. Be angry, be frightened, be happy, be feeling like the most blessed of women. You are an example of what faith can do in our lives. God bless you and God shower you with his confidence, peace, strength, and love.

You have a gift of being able to communicate God’s word by being raw, honest and still very warm and loving toward people you don’t even know. I understand some of your suffering. I became a first time mother at 19. I chose not to marry at that time. The amount of joy mixed with guilt I felt is hard to explain. In the end, I have a 42 year old daughter who has been nothing but a gift from God. ❤
Watching this video and listening to you I cried . In you I saw myself. I went on to become a mental health care professional with a private practice for over 20 years. My daughter is a major force in backstage production in the music industry today. She helped start one of the biggest music festivals In California. She has toured with some of the biggest celebrities. She is self made , no man ever gave her or helped her with anything. Everything she did she did on her own. I believe she watched her young mother survive and it gave her the necessary survival skills to self actualize. Ultimately I married the man of my dreams. He was my greatest love . My life has had great value and meaning. We were incredibly happily married until his passing 5 years ago. Baptized in the name of Jesus , he had victory over the grave. Lastly Katie, Thank you for your bravery. Thank you for choosing life. I've never met you, nor do I know you, But I am very proud of you.

Oh my gosh! Thank you for sharing this. I feel like I've been suffering but spiritually. Like the devil is doing everything he can to drag me away from God. It feels like every day there is a war going on. To keep me from praying, reaching out to God, but I continue to fight threw it, to keep crying out believing God is going to heal my mind, my heart, and break down strongholds in my mind. The devil has had a hay day with my blood line and I was the first to answer God's call and say the chains break with me! It stops here. My kids will not struggle in this way. But I'd be lying if I said it didn't seem like such a big feet that I am in no way caple of, but I know HIS strength is made perfect in my weakness. Thank you sweet sister. Thank you Katie. I needed to hear this today. Satan was telling me Jesus isn’t real and he can’t help me. I’ve been praying so much and I’ve been Thanking and Praying even though the pain has been bad. Bless you, sweet girl.❤🙏🏻
