    This is why Jokic should win MVP every season. With him on the court every player is good, with him on the bench every player is rubbish. Is there a more clear description of value than that?

      Just black would be enough. But the good thing is that it could have been used once and never again, saying such stupidity like Perkins , because the white fans voted for all the black mvps before...and especially since Jokic proved to be way over Embild after he was gifted that 1 mvp. Now people have it all clear and are even bigger fans of Jokic for that unjustified stolen mvp title.

    Context matters for stats: if the stats are from the 70/80’s or post 2012, it will be much higher than stats from the 90’s and 2000’s.
    So comparing stats per game between Shaq and Jokic heavily favors Jokic. Use stats per possessions to get a fairer ( yet still not perfect) assessment.

    To me what makes him so great is ive never seen someone who can elevate each of his teammates when he plays with the output he puts out by himself I've never seen a player like him usually what happens when you're such a great player is the supporting cast kind of is sidelined by the performance but someone who can not only help maintain but also increase the supporting cast output while having a insane individual game himself is just so crazy that I've never seen a player like him in nba🎉

    • @gastonzamora4985

      Making everyone else better is his most important skill, arguably the most effective way of stopping Jokic is to stop him from getting his teammates involved, its better to have Jokic score 50 on you than to let him make his teammates score 15 each. The impact it has when Jokic involves others is massive because once a player gets going and in rythm it gets really hard to stop them, and winning a game where 5 players got going is far harder than when 1 player got going.

    Just here to brag and point out how Joker's Nuggets just beat LeBron's Fakers by 25 points on 11/23/24. Joker had 34pts and 10rebs and LeCon had only 18pts. To say that Joker's Nuggets own the Lakers would be an understatement because LeBron and AD both want so badly to pull a Air Jordan and "take it personal" but they simply can't.

    I’ve considered jokic over shaq just because if they traded places it’s tough to say that jokic isn’t at least close and I think jokic and kobe work together for longer because there is no beef but Shaq is so damn good and we forget that. Everyone acts like La was his only good years which is just not true. Kareem is a whole different animal though. I have him at number 3 all time and could argue number 2. He’s becoming underrated as the years go by.

    Joker is this generation’s Tim Duncan. An all time great that doesn’t have a big personality that garters attention so he quietly dominates while others get the limelight. Jokic like Duncan won’t truly be appreciated until his legacy is at its late part of career or even after his career.

      @ you don’t have to be better defensively if you can create a greater point differential through unmatched offensive production. Let’s say you have two elite players… player A is the better defender and creates an average point differential of 6 points greater than his opponent. Player B is a solid defender, but not great, but it’s so good offensively he creates an average point differential of 10 points greater than his opponent. Who’s technically the more effective player?

    I’m not trying to cause arguments but please feel free to leave your takes. Jokic is one of 9 players in history to win 3 mvps. He’s gonna go down as a top 15-20 player if not higher, and you can make the case he’s there with 3 mvps and a ring. Some were arguing it for Giannis when he won his. Not comparing them as players but I worry Jokic is gonna go down like Tim Duncan. (Not saying he’ll have the team success) but they don’t talk about guys whose play styles aren’t entertaining. Jokic is fun to watch if you enjoy pure basketball. If you want highlight you watch a shifty or explosive player ja, ant, Jaylen green just someone flashy.
    Ik I wrote a lot, my point is I feel he’s should go down one of the best players ever but factors such as small market and play style means some will never put him up there.

      @ He needs another title or 2, but he’s borderline Top 10, and is arguably the best offensive center ever, taking his scoring and passing into account.

    Comparing stats like this is rookie level mistake cause for example 30points could be very different thing in different games let alone different eras. That goes also with rebounds assists +/- everything. The Rules have changed and opponents are different too. Kareem played against Wilt Nate Thurmond Bill Walton Moses Malone Robert Parrish Mark Eaton Hakeem P.Ewing... Nikola Jokic plays against Draymond Adebayo Anthony Davis Domantas... alot of 6'9 guys with defensive three second rule. Those might give a little edge to Jokic? What Im saying its more colourful with thousends of shades than what Mike Korzemba tells about these matters. Thank God

    • @DrawQuick2014
      @DrawQuick2014 15 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      1. The rules changed to hurt centers, Hakeem and Shaq never had to deal with double teams. When illegal defense ended Shaq immediately fell off
      2. Nate Thurmond wasn’t good at basketball you don’t have to pretend
      3. Robert Parish was 6’9
      4. Mark Eat(a)ton was a less talented Boban a gimmick, a sideshow

      I actually didn't mention which era or players are better or worse. That's why I mentioned word different four times in orginal comment. It's my style to wright and speak to expose arrogance what I hate so much. You cant understand it's different to play against Parrish than Draymond cause you are so full of yourself! I actually like every player I mentioned. Just like vid maker you make false claims to prove your opinions. That's arrogance. "Robert Parrish is 6'9"😊 😅

    Jokic is already the best OFFENSIVE big man after the merger, if it comes to prime years. Doesnt mean he is close to Hakeem, Shaq or Kareem for his overall career. For that he needs at least 2 more tiitles and has to play 5 more prime seasons. Then we can talk if he is close to Kareem. Cause one thing that isnt mentioned here. All the alltime greats came into the league dominating from day one. Jokic needed a couple of seasons to find his groove and role. Thats also a point that speaks against him.

    Well, we have to take into account the eras. Jokić is playing in the most offensive orientated era ever while Shaq in arguably the most defensive era ever so naturally Nikola's offensive numbers (primary efficiency) will be better. I love Jokić but he is this great also thanks to this era.

    • @MikeKorzemba
      @MikeKorzemba  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      While eras are important, I think a lot of Shaqs bad shots were inefficent post ups. 3-10 feet isnt the best area for a lot of bigs. Maybe in this era though someone would have had him in more efficient places
