Dantonio is the best coach in program history for MSU. He has the most wins in program history and had a clear love for the university much akin to Tom Izzo’s. A lot of people who criticize Coach D feel like they’re fair weather fans (who seem all too common in EL) and don’t remember just how bad we were under Williams and Smith. His final years were tumultuous to say the least and they left the program in a funky spot but what he was able to do for us at his peak was borderline unimaginable.
15:33 What people forget about that Michigan State Notre dame game is the three or four terrible PI calls that legitimately cost them the game. There was a legitimate chance they could've been undefeated that year if they had a fairly called game
As a gator fan I talk about 2012 all the time. Even as a fan it felt like a fever dream of a season. Elite defense but terrible offense. definitely and enigma considering the following year
If Arkansas wins that game against LSU, we probably don’t see an LSU v Bama rematch. It’s probably Arkansas & LSU in that natty assuming they win the sec
If you want to do another episode of this series do an episode on the 2009 Cincinnati Bearcats, as a fan I find that season very interesting and entertaining
That 2015 team was good but I've always thought that 2013 team got screwed against ND earlier in the year and that kept them out of the title game. That team would've won it
As an MSU fan, Dantonio is definitely the best coach in school history. I have faith that Smith will bring back that culture of good fundamentals and complementary football. (Cue somebody calling me “little brother” and siting 0-3 or 49-0, but I digress) I know MSU is a rebuild but I have faith, and I’ve loved Smith way more in year one than I ever liked Tucker as a Coach.
Why does the first Arkansas v Bama highlight remind of accidentally clicking onto a D-lineman in NCAA games 😂 Its also funny to me that you seem to go out of your way to say Cocks as much as you can while talking about South Carolina 😂
@@PrinceTalonSabre debatable. When the blue bloods are good is when college football has the best ratings and the most attention. The world cares far more when Notre Dame is elite than Michigan state. I see your point though.
@@AceManning18yeah but when blue bloods are good it isn’t as fun for everyone else because they’ve already seen it happen so it doesn’t feel memorable. The ratings are just higher because those blue bloods have big fan bases but everyone not in those fan bases doesn’t want that particular team to be good because it’s not new.

6:01 That Arkansas team was actually so asssss lol they were #3 for a while only because Bama and LSU were #1 and #2. It was the stupidest thing ever, there was one point where #1, #2, and #3 were the same in the AP poll as the Sec west standings.
@@Amateurloree 2 of those top 15 teams finished the season unranked, the other 2 had 1 top 15 win combined. I’ll agree they weren’t ass, that’s hyperbole. But, they were ridiculously overrated. The week they were ranked #3 there were really like 4 teams ranked lower than them who probably should’ve been ranked higher. It seemed like they kept them ranked that high so when they lost to LSU they could keep them in the top 10, which fed the argument that the sec was so much stronger than every other conference that Alabama and LSU should just rematch for the national championship. So you had 3 teams who were all 11-1 and one team that was 13-0, and naturally they picked the only 11-1 team that had already played the 13-0 team. People talk about what forced the NCAAs hand on making a playoff, this season was it. The other 11-1 teams #3 and #4 Stanford and Oklahoma State played each other in the Fiesta Bowl which ended up being a game that was 1,000x more exciting than watching either of the Alabama vs LSU games that year which ended up going 7 quarters with 10 field goals before Trent Richardson finally scored a touchdown to seal a national championship that never should’ve been played.

One of the greatest defensive coordinators for tOSU. Even though he was a pain in our ass, we'll forever be grateful for him.
Man that 2011 Razorback team was special. Of course we fans knew they weren’t better than Alabama or LSU, but that offense was still electric
