I beat Doom2016 and Doom Eternal on Ultra Nightmare. I think Doom2016 nightmare is a bit too hard in the first 3 levels, because you pretty much die in a few hits. It gradually gets more and more bearable as you unlock suit upgrades and powerful weapon mods. By the end of the game it became too easy because the BFG and gauss cannon siege mod is too OP. On the other hand Doom Eternal nightmare feels more balanced, the entire game has a consistent difficulty, there are no levels that feel too hard or easy
See its funny you say that because as of today, I'm unable to beat doom eternal on nightmare mode. Idk what it is, maybe its just that I havent put as much time into it as 2016 or maybe that theres so much more to keep up with but it kicks my ASS. But, since this video seems to be randomly doing well on the channel I think its only fitting to give eternal nightmare mode one more shot. As well as make a video on it if this video pops off a liiiiitttlle bit more so SMASH THAT LI- nah I'm just jokin, unless????
@@DrowziDrewzi Yeah Doom Eternal is difficult, the game throws so many game mechanics at you it's a bit overwhelming. During my first playthrough I had to lower the difficulty to hurt me plenty half way through the game.
I agree with this comment, my first Doom was Eternal and my first run was on nightmare, I really liked the game overall and while the difficulty was high, the game really has a good difficulty design and all the mechanics are very clear and I like how the game encourages you to go ape on the demons in order to survive. I just tried to play Doom yesterday and the gameplay feels so slugish and how you die is really frustrating, I feel Doom 2016 is more of a standard shooter where you need to use cover because if you try to go ape mode like in Eternal you just die in two hits.
Gonna add to that, my problem doom 2016 is how cramped some area is. I lost count of how many times I died because I accidentally got stuck on props or railing.
Great video, if you keep with the difficult mode analysis you may consider doing the original Bioshock. For me the hardest difficulty makes a great game into an amazing one for Bioshock, cause if you play normal mode you can just shoot every big daddy on the face and be done with it. But on the hardest setting you really have to use the environment and plan ahead with your powers, set up traps, check for water, explosive, look at the map for escape routes. I think its one of the best fps experiences.

Bio shock was a terrible game. Absolute mess of game design with the most confusing goal in level design I’ve ever seen. I don’t think the developers had any idea what they wanted with the level design bc it’s a mess and navigating them is a chore. Plus the story sucks ass. It’s famous for being philosophical and subtle but like it’s not. Especially not subtle, ANYTHING but subtle. The game doesn’t stop reminding you of what is supposed to be subtle and the plot twist you see coming from miles away. Like I immediately suspected the “Irish” guy bc nothing he was telling me had any reason for me to believe and the things he kept telling me didn’t make any logical sense so I just assumed “this guys full of shit he’s just making things up on the spot” on top of this it’s extremely obvious that he’s trying to manipulate you. Like it’s basically told to you over and over again by the main villain every time you meet him yet it’s supposed to be subtle. But it’s not. Everything about this game was generic and the plot was mind numbing. Have no idea how anyone thought this game was good
heheh nah this was all PC footage. My big ol PC can handle everything I throw at it so I can get those 60fps recordings. All that power is still nothing when I use premiere/after effects though... Thanks adobe

My problem with Nightmare mode, I was doing a glory kill and died from an imp attack like 6 frames after it ended.
